It makes PERFECT sense.
Cage can't make believable human characters, so he just sidesteps the issue by making them androids.
It's so brilliant I can't believe I didn't think of it.
I think this is why I am not loving it.. I feel like I've been told this story before and David is just Gona make it worse.Game of show. David Cage does Blade Runner. Love it!
The subtitle is unnecessary. Just call it "Detroit". Or pick something along the lines of "Heavy Rain".
You are not replaying this standoff multiple times unless you force quit the game before it can save. The game will continue even on the very first outcome they showed. Yes it will continue if Connor dies, he is gone from the story then. They showed how different it CAN play out based on your choices. But you are not encouraged to replay until you get a desirable outcome, the devs actually don't want you to do that. You can experiment on the next full playthrough. There will never be a time where you are forced to rewind and replay and every scenario in the game is unique. There might not be another scene like this in the entire game after this one.Jeez this looks so dreary. I am not sure the trailer emphasized the right things. It looks like a game where you play out the same depressing standoff over and over with slight variations so that any sense of importance or weight to your actions is completely lost. If you can just change it next time then what does anything matter?
It seems like that can't be the game they are making but it sure looks like it from the trailer.
Skip.
You have been told nearly every story before though. Of course this will have an unique spin somewhere, need to have a 12 hour game after allI think this is why I am not loving it.. I feel like I've been told this story before and David is just Gona make it worse.
Of course it was. You can see quite plainly where they cut walking/exploration out. But yes, they even confirmed itThis reveal was meh...not sure if that was in-game or not...kind of weird.
I'll still look forward to more info and footage ...
This is likely going to be their biggest game yet production wise, so that makes some sense. Might still see some improvements down the line, especially with a Neo version rumoured (or I mean it pretty much will happen since this is late 2017 at the earliest). Cool of them to show off the regular version though and have it be stable at 30 fps already from the looks of things. Might be their best performing game yet as wellAndroid skills.

Depth of field's causing some of the chunky aliasing I think, performance looks much better than early HR/BTS footage though. I noticed a few iffy looking assets and the water ripple looked a bit plasticy but really nice lighting and materials on the whole.
It doesn't look bad...almost good...but then i think David Cage and it scares me
