Why can't we just enjoy games instead of arguing my plastic box has a few frames more than urs in this video
Enjoy the fucking games
I call this a tie

You know, when perfomance takes a hit in particular situation theorically you try to discover the reason behind. But they seen it's perfectly fine on series X so ps5 hardware is the fault . If you don't see a preconceptions behind this attitude I don't know what else to say.
Everyone keeps going about Microsoft PR, yet loads of people spout Sony speak like it is gospel. It must be all the likes to their posts that obscures them from how hypocritical they sound.
We are two weeks into a new gen with a few rushed cross gen games to compare. I have said it before and I will say it again, everyone needs to hold off on their declarations until the cross gen/launch window games are out of the picture and the real built from the ground up games arrive. The next battlefield would probably be good place to start.
I am so confused, so Sony was supposedly winning in performance, now Series X is?
But if you can clear 10 GB fast enough and rewrite ... you won’t have a problem at all. Or stream in fast enough .. it’s not like you need 10 GB every frame .Well, as said earlier, what happens when games use more than that 10gb on series x, im of the understanding both cant be accessed at the same time meaning lower effective bandwidth.
We shall see.
You only needed to win one game each year ! And that’s COD, well done MS and Xbox ! Million seller right here . I was waiting for the best version before buying , sale +1.

Why would anyone put someone who admittedly does this part-time as a hobby on the same plane as a group who do this professional and full time? The people throwing shade at DF are bad but you're no better with how you talk about NXGamer .
This is false. They said only in set piece cut scenes aka quick time events. During gun play PS5 is stable 60. Lowest was 40s for quick time events. So just going to ignore how the PS5 drops to near 30 fps in raytracing, 60fps mode but the XsX has zero issues?
I kinda prefer VGT thus far for video comparisons, over NXG and DF. I think the spreadsheet supplement is absolutely brilliant, and helps to quantify what the eye can often miss.
Thats not the worst of it ,the xbox drops into the 90's 25 times in a three and half minute period.XSX dipping lower than a local stripper
I am so confused, so Sony was supposedly winning in performance, now Series X is?
No. Which is why 60fps mode will be the most used.Does vast majority of people have a VRR TV?
NXGamer quick analysis between these set pieces wherever performance in PS5 tanks would be helpful.According to VG Tech, this drop is random on the PlayStation 5.
In that case, here are the VG Tech results:
60 FPS mode:
1. XSX = Mean frame rate 60 FPS | 16.67 ms at 99.99%
2. PS5 = Mean frame rate 59.99 FPS | 16.67 ms at 99.96%
120 FPS mode:
1. XSX = Mean frame rate 114.93 FPS | 8.33 ms at 91.9%
2. PS5 = Mean frame rate 117.02 FPS | 8.33 ms at 94.15%

Digital Foundry seems to be extremely biased with this Face-Off wow
Hmmm ...

Yes.Haha, you have declared the Xbox version the winner based on these results? How?
That's why declaring one as a winner is just silly with performance this close. I like VGTech format too, because it shows data across entire segments.
[/QUOTE]Yes.
60 frames .. not enough gamers game at 120 Hz
If any graphical feature is missing on XSX (gun smoke, extra lights etc.) it's always a bug, DF taught us so.Digital Foundry seems to be extremely biased with this Face-Off wow
This. I absolutely hated every time they did that. Call a shit performance what it is. Call a shit resolution what it is. It's always worse than the other consoles because it has worse hardware. That's common sense. But somehow they turn it into positive because "it's a portable". Same story with Nintendo fans. Yet when I always tell everyone it's a portable and not a console I'm told it's a console. But it plays multiplats like shit? Oh it's a portable. The double standard is annoying and very hypocritical.Game looks amazing on both consoles. Most of us don't have the latest TVs for 120, so 4K/60 over a lower resolution/less detail/120 all day. Thanks DF!
I am a bit disappointed on how DF treats the Series S. Whenever Switch multiplats underperformed, you always heard "well it's impressive for a portable". Well for the price of entry, the Series S is still "impressive for the price", can run these latest games decently enough.
The mean frame rates (in 60 FPS mode) are 59.96% for PS5 and 59.99% for XSX.
You're really declaring 0.03% as a massive win for XSX -- ignoring the faster load times, exclusive DualSense features, and better lighting on PS5? Really think about it please
That’s the power of 52 CUS already coming into play. Was this really considered a win to Series X? I see the standard has been lowered way too much
Both machines never been this close in performance , Both have stable 60 with RT (PS5 has minor dips in specific areas) both stable 120 with PS5 having slight edge when stressed.

With the frequency I've been seeing VRR mentioned of late in DF videos and on forums...It seems that every XBOX ships with a VRR TV...I should probably get in on this...
Except stats don't shill, opinions do........
While yes they are very close now, but we could be in a 360/ps3 era, but this time ms retains the better gpu and similar cpu, with ps5 not having a cell like cpu with untapped powers to pull it through.PS2/Xbox era: Differences were so big we ended up with completely different games in some cases.
PS3/360: we had multiple instances of games being 60 on one , 30 on the other, different resolutions and different settings.
PS4/X1: resoulotion differences were common, better quality assets and AA while fps mostly were the same.
PS5/SX: Same setting, same resolution, same assets with performance thats nearly identical !
I think these comparisons just prove that what we said since the beginning, PS5/XSX is the closest machines specs wise in history which is a great thing because they are both very capable. XSS though is major let down.
Have seen Watchdogs on PS5 and Xsex,PS5 version has higher resolution and RT.I guess PS fans will have tweet Activision themselves on this one.....This is only a self-serve buffet...
No, the answer is in the thread already.......Same scene runs perfectly locked on PS5 prior patch......
We won't know of RT comparisons till a tasking RT game comes out, let's wait for the next 4A Game, maybe GTA 6 or perhaps WatchDogs as a first example....In like for like scenarios, the RT Mode of both consoles are a solid 60fps..
Also, curious why we saw no coverage of the non RT 4K native version, they could have discussed the graphics and sharpness of that mode including showing us the performance as opposed to just saying it runs fine......Also a gameplay run of MP should be in order as well....
But you think there's 30% untapped power on the XsX.While yes they are very close now, but we could be in a 360/ps3 era, but this time ms retains the better gpu and similar cpu, with ps5 not having a cell like cpu with untapped powers to pull it through.

They do have the same RT settings on both consoles, as the config files show. If NXGamer or whoever 'sees' something different, its in their minds.I thought they had the exact same RT settings, as Alex from DF found in the PC config files. What's your source?
I don't get your response, are you really declaring 0.03% as big win? Also your quotes are missed up
They r close but still Another one for ps5
Not only that, but there are a number of scenes where the PS5 drops below the XSX. Overall the advantage is to the PS5 in that one scene, but both drop frames quite heavily. That is some extreme cherry picking, both have some major dips in that scene. But as DF said, overall it is good.

Your understanding comes from the nonsense that has been spouted on here since Valhalla dropped a few frames.Well, as said earlier, what happens when games use more than that 10gb on series x, im of the understanding both cant be accessed at the same time meaning lower effective bandwidth.

This isn't true. SmartShift works both ways.Smart Shift only goes 1 way. The CPU can give power to the GPU, but not the reverse. If the CPU is stressed the GPU can't help it out.
He really is. If that's not desperation ... The "most powerful console in the world" has been relegated to enjoying a 0.03% difference in frame rates, and explicitly regarding the 120 fps mode because XSX clearly lost in that mode by a frame rate mean time of 3.2%.
3.2% difference = ignore.
0.03 difference = Massive win. XSX powah!
Sure no one thinks we will see the same gap as One/ps4, when Ms box then had to run at a combination of a rung lower resolution, missing effects and juddier frame rates. Those were the bad mattrick led days, we hope can be forgotten soonBut you think there's 30% untapped power on the XsX.
You guys think there's going to be some massive boost when these "tools" arrive.
