Dragon Ball Super |OT| 28 Episodes Later

The comedy in these eps have been on point recently. Goku busting through the wall was amazing in Ep 17.

Chi Chi still remains annoying as ever. It's amazing how much she badgers him despite the fact he's saved the planet countless times because he's an idiot that loves to train. She even manages to spend all that money Goku got for her almost instantly, lol.

Bulma was way more awesome in these last few episodes than she has been in a long time.

My favorite part next to Goku bursting through the wall: https://youtu.be/qeffZXlehis?t=15s

Is that the first time Goku's ever gotten a comedic "anime girl punch"?
Nah, he got them plenty in DB.

She's a lonely woman stuck in the poverty cycle that equates martial arts to being a home wrecker. Most of the time Goku leaves he ends up gone for years and dead. She's hella paranoid, I feel sorry for her.

Uub won't exist. There's no reason for Goku to be excited to fight/train him considering there are a lot of new much more powerful beings introduced (Champa/Bills/Whis/Vados/at least 5 more guys from the universe 6/ at least 10 more god of destructions and 10 more ''Whises''.

The whole reason for his creation is non existent now.

I disagree. Uub is still a kid at the end of DBZ, yet he is incredibly strong. Goku sees his potential and is willing to train him. He was never meant to be a real challenge to Goku.

The scene where Goku asks for him to be reincarnated takes place before Super though. Gohan still has a daugther named Pan. There's nothing aside from fan speculation pointing to them discarding the events of the Z epilogue.

But Goku does ask for him to exist before Z ends, and so far Pan has panned (lol) out.

He could still appear at the end of Super. He's the solution to the main cast being quite old by the end of Z. The future protector of Earth and all that jazz, since he has the right attitude (comes from poverty, wants to protect the weak, likes to train, will sacrifice everything for others).

It doesn't make any sense for Goku to go through all the shit that he has gone/will go to in Super and all of sudden ''hey I beat that guy Buu who was super strong a few years ago, you know what SHENRON REINCARNATE THAT BITCH SO I CAN TRAIN HIM TO BE ME''. It won't make sense. There is no reason to even think about Kid Buu.

This will only make sense if they make Kid Buu relevant in one of the alternate universes and, somehow, Goku thinks it would be good for the Earth if he was good.

Goku asked for the reincarnation at the end of Z. Uub was a gift to Goku from the universe, not a wish.

You're right, Goku can just train Champa/Bills/Whis/Vados instead. OH WAIT

Goku wishes (to no one in particular) for Kid Buu to be reincarnated as he's killing him with the Spirit Bomb. It predates anything that happens in Super.

Well, think of it this way.

Freeza never trained, he trains, reaches god level.

Buu never trained. Think about how strong Uub could become, trained by a god (Goku).

That kinda perfectly justifies the ending of Z.

We also know that Goku and his friends are not permanently strong. They are strong when they intend to fight. Except Vegeta I guess.

That's why Bulma always hurts Goku when she catches him off guard. And why he gets destroyed against a small beam in FnF.

So being taken by surprise by Uub sort of makes sense.

Every fighter sort of uses ki like a shield. It seems to strengthen their body, hence why seem to strengthen their muscle mass with ki when taking a ki blast directly. It's a neat idea. Maybe other fighters who can't control their ki are just pumping their body full of this shield constantly? iduno lol

Has anyone ever considered that the laser in RoF was like a "god powered" beam?

You gotta think if Freiza had that as a back up plan, he would have made sure it was an extremely powerful thing strong enough to be able to hurt Goku.

How is Super so far? I'm trying to wait for the dub as I prefer the English voices more, but god I've been hearing good things about it.

If you enjoy Dragon Ball or like the characters from Z and would like to see them fleshed out in and more comedic or every day situations it's really good.

Got off to a rough start, but picks up a lot around episode 10. The Goku/Beerus fight in Super is a big improvement on the movie's, and the light-hearted episodes since that wrapped have been surprisingly a lot of fun.

Well, so far it's a retelling of the recent movies with some expanded events, weaker animation and completely new minor stories between them. The initial episodes that transitioned into the Battle of Gods retelling were rather weak, but I've enjoyed the last two episodes that are leading to Revival F.

The retelling of Battle of Gods had some odd choices at times for the elements receiving more or even less focus than in the movie, but it had some good additions too.

Better than anything post Cell. Wait for the dubs, although there are some good funny moments and little modifications, there's barely anything new if you have watched the movies.

Nah, Goku's durability is pretty trash historically, unless he's devoting energy to tanking an attack.

That Ki Shield is something I wondered about. Are Ki blasts supposed to be as hot as they look, like sun surface levels? Or are they purely concussive, until they blow up? If they're hot, yeah, you'd need to be using Ki power to make your flesh not boil away in seconds. Makes most of their durability feats make more sense.

ki blasts/beams prior to explosion always seemed similar to Cyclops eye beams. Ki is concussive but they have a lot of control over the shape and force of it, narrow it down to an edge so it can cut or give it a delay effect before it explodes, or make it into a big ass beam that pulverizes everything.

Ki blasts have displayed so many different properties I've never pegged what excatly ki energy is. It can crush you, burn you, vaporize you ... gave up trying figure it out. Shit varies.

Red hot in the manga? I think the concussion is enough to make them blow. Kinda like bullets causing car explosions in movies.

Yeah, in the manga. Saw frames from from Krillin destroy's Gero's lab. Like, they balloon up and explode and are on fire with smoke and stuff.

That's the other thing - if they're concussive, we've also seen them vaporize people when they weren't able to hold them back. What goes on there? The exploding bit I guess could be controlling it's energetic release.

I always figured they were super hot, being pure energy, but opponents who also controlled Ki had an inherent level of durability against it.

They are definitely more than just concussive. Friezas death ball looked like a mini sun, and that was way back on namek. Look at beerus's mini sun as well. It was literally burning goku.
