none, during the years of peace after cell she collected the dragon balls and wished for eternal youth.

note: not cannon but totally could be :P

I think she wished to be rejuvenated, not for eternal youth.

Edit: Wait no she said she wanted too...

So what this and last episode does a good job of setting up is making beerus look even more powerful and menacing than in the movies.

The whole series has been doing a much better job of that than the movie, but this episode was especially cool with out they showed Beerus being there at the party like in the movie but also shooting evil glares at Vegeta, when they introduce themselves and he looks over at Vegeta the look he gives him so so great, it's like he's saying "I can kill everyone here and you wouldn't be able to do anything."
I also love how instead of Vegeta trying to please him right away Beerus first humiliates Vegeta without even having to touch him and then interacts with Bulma. Beerus in Super is great.

Super is doing a much better job of "Show not tell" in regards to how strong and sinister Beerus is.

Surprised Beerus didn't mention he knew Buu or at least I assume he knew Buu since besides Frieza he was the strongest (besides Whis and Beerus) in the universe, or even comment on his new form saying hes gotten fat.

RoF spoilers

yeah it's pretty weird. Even Frieza knew who Buu was.

wow, this episode really highlights the downgrade from BoG, QUALITY aside

Not only did it lack bingo dance, it lacked minor snippets.

Well, it's not like BoG is a movie with the budget of over a million dollars or anything.

my point is that it's just disheartening to see a fight from BoG to be like that

What? Your mad it's not a complete retelling of BoG? Geezus just watch BoG, they already have the stuff you want to see lol. Some of these posts man... really suspect

I love BoG, but I prefer the Super events. I like that they are doing something different instead of wasting our time by just copying everything verbatim from BoG and as far as Bulma's party goes I like that there is less fluff.

Does anyone know the name of the team who does the superior sub? besides the Vegeta f bomb i felt the beginning scene with Goku and King Kai was mistreated.

I liked episode 6 but looks like we won't see the Mai+Trunks subplot in Super, at least yet.

Also, It will be interesting to see how are they revealing Pan's existence here, since there was no shooting scene.

It's not so much as a retelling as much as it feels like it barely did anything different, hence why they should have just added some more snippets. Not to mention Beerus being more like a jerkass than usual.

Their different isn't different enough is what I'm saying.

You know what would have been hilarious? Put more shenanigans between the pudding scene and Vegeta.

This is your answer to your problem with the show? Right before you complained about not having the bingo dance from BoG, while totally ignoring the brand new comic scene that replaces it with Chef Vegeta and the octopus. But now you're say the show is missing more new moments? The whole episode is about new comic vegeta moments with beerus, but putting another one in the pudding scene would have made the episode hilarious for you? This is just not a real strong argument you got here.... Ok, im legit done commenting back on this stuff lol. good talksss

bruh, you wrote the most pessimistic and cynical critique(with no meaningful argument) of a light hearted cartoon episode. it is an honor for you to call my the main complainer here, thank you.

So what was Toriyama's previous direction regarding the "canon" appearance of Saiyan hair?

I thought saiyans hair stay same regardless of age but in the recent episode it looks a bit different.

Their hair is a lot more compact in all the stuff made after hey son goku and friends. I think it's supposed to not have changed, they're just altering the art style.

That discussion was specifically about Kid Vegeta. He had the same hair style as adult Vegeta in BoGs and Dragonball Minus, but has a different hairstyle in Bardock Special and the recent episode. And, yes, it was stated during the Cell Saga that a Saiyan's hair isn't supposed to change.
