lolololol what retailer in its right mind would carry another Vita SKU
The only link between the OP and Vita is that the model number for one of the chips (J20H091) is the same as the one in the vita (J20H056). The "Trinity" and "announced at Playstation Meeting" parts are not mentioned at all in the original article and made up by the TC for this thread. Is nobody reading the OP? That's the first thing I did after opening the thread and I don't see any mention of PSVita in those pictures
PSA:
- Source doesn't write about a new Vita version
- Source doesn't say a new Vita version could be announced at the PlayStation Meeting event
- There is no mention of "Trinity" anywhere
This is entirely the OPs thoughts and people not thinking and just hitting that "Post Reply" button.
Ok so to follow up my last post:
It looks like the source is linking this application to the Vita because of the similar module numbers. The application for the wireless module has number J20H091, which is similar to the Vita's wireless module nr. J20H056 (according to this post).
However, it looks like the PS4 has a similar WIFI-BT module number: J20H071, as seen in this pic.
So if the source's only lead is the similar numbers, then this rumor is already dead.

"Sony has requested two wireless modules at FCC. The model numbers are AW-CB262 and J20H091. The first one is identical to the wireless module used in the PS4, while the second is identical to the one used by the PS Vita. Could the Vita also be getting an upgrade?"
According to this post the Module number in the OP picture IS corresponding to the Vita chipset
OPs magnificent ass

Well then... I believe this is my stop to join this hype train.
J20H088 also got it's FCC cert last week. We will see if Sony comes up with a new Vita.
