Aceofking on reddit separates the top 15 points from the premiers so in his method, it had an effect. However, in reality you are right and it didn't have an effect on the standings.

No point in looking at it that way. That method just requires more adjustments to the top 32 than just using the normal top 32 by points. SCR really had no effect on who gets into Capcom Cup.

yes, i do agree with you on this. haunts if you're reading this, you need to produce consistent articles like standings analysis/match analysis/player interviews/etc on the cpt website. the only reason for me to go to the site is to check the cpt schedule. the recap articles are not enough as we have a few other sites which are able to provide this information (eventhubs, srk and even r/kappa).

I didn't realize SCR had mago, fuddo and momochi too. I wouldn't figure they place so low.. well mago yea but other two usually a lock for top 8.

Is there an archive of the Top 16 or 32 of some of the games?

Edit: Looks like LevelUpLives archives are up but got to donate $5 to see Top 16 of SF4 on CapcomFighters.

That Brazilian tournament is missing some notable names like the Brenos Fighters, his bro Bruno Fighters, and this one really good Sagat player. But still the talent out there is still pretty good. For a player like Haitani who has been in and out of this game and has never truly been a consistent top threat either, this will definitely be a big challenge for him to keep the Asian streak alive and make it 9 out 11 for Japanese winning Premier Events.

I think its a good way to help show where the cutoff can potentially be. Both Misse and Dakou are at 140 points. They are on the cusp, so they need some of the heavy hitters with points (Snakeyes, Xhao Hai, Luffy, etc) to grab an Capcom Cup Premier spot to ensure they get in.

Speaking of Xhao Hai, he and Nemo are probably the favorite to win the Capcom Pro Tour Asian finals spot now. Which only helps out Misse and Dakou.

Yeah, but you can gauge what that cutoff could be just from using the top 32 standings and looking at who's attending which future events. For the last week or so, it's been obvious that Brazil and possibly the Japanese premier will be the tournaments that would really affect who gets into Capcom Cup. That hasn't changed.

Always looking at the top 15 in points is just tedious. Oh after this event, the points barrier was lowered. After another event, now this player is in. In reality they were already in the top 32 and those event outcomes were expected. I expect Dreamhack, Canada Cup, and Milan to be almost the same as SCR with regards to who gets into the top 32. The Asia finals have an outside chance of affecting the standings with MOV participating in it.

registration lock. And at first, it was going to be a 1 week event to gatekeep outsiders...

They gave an slot to r/kappa and guess the other was for Haitani.

thanks, I was watching on data earlier and lost signal for a bit. Wanna catch the xiaohai filipinoman match. When I lost connection it looked like filipornoman had it in the bag... and then I got connection again and suddenly I see xiaohai against kazunoko

So top 8 of that Brazilian Premier Event starts in like 15 minutes, right? We'll see if Haitani can keep the Asian streak alive or if a Brazilian breaks the streak and gets the automatic invite.

I think I saw him use Rufus in a mirror match yesterday. I was watching SCR and finally switched back to BGS and saw a Rufus just finish off another and then it was Haitani and a Brazilian player shaking hands. Maybe I'm mistaken about that. But every match that I did see of him from beginning to end or most of he was using Makoto.

I don't think we'll even see Haitani's Mak. If he wins he'll probably use Rufus against Keoma as well because it's a better match up. If Haitani wins that and Keoma comes back from losers then it'll be more Rufus.
