For Honor Open Beta Feb 9 - Feb 12

Had a good pre-order deal in my region and grabbed it. Should be easy to refund before launch if I end up not enjoying it as much as the previous beta and deciding I won't play it for too long.

I think I'll start with the Warden this time! How do you do the shoulder tackle thing?

I'm on ps4 so I think its 30 gb for consoles.

Edit: On ps4 it says 22 gb.

It's just over 30 GB on PS4 in the UK (and I'd assume the same for the rest of Europe). XB1 version was 26 GB or so. Probably just regional differences with that languages are included in the download.

I don't remember seeing any female characters during the beta.
Lol... 75% of classes can be female.

Male or Female:
  • Warden
  • Kensei
  • Orochi
  • Raider
  • Beserker
  • Conqueror

Female only:
  • Nobushi
  • Peacekeeper
  • Valkyrie

Made a Uplay account just now. Turns out its my old account linked with PSN for some reason from the PS3 days, lol. I can see myself as level 8 and with FC3 listed as played last. Totally forgot about it. Downloading the beta. Big-ass download.

Play both tutorials.

After the initial tutorial, you can select an advanced tutorial from the menu. You should play both. You also get a bunch of steel for both.

As has been pointed out, three quarters of the game's characters are always female or can be female... but I think it's actually quite impressive you didn't notice this on the whole. The female characters in For Honor are generally pretty similar to the male character models without many obvious/exaggerated gender signifiers. For Honor is doing a marvellous job in this respect. A Viking Raider can be male or female - either way they'll be a fearless mass of muscled brutality.

Paraphrasing a quote from the dev team:

"We have a name for female warriors in the game... it's warrior."

They deserve a lot of credit for their approach, imo, it's so much work they did. So much extra animation and customization... very commendable. Imo best effort in the industry, to date. By a wide margin. They're the high water mark.

I thought it will be dead, but after playing Wildlands beta I think some people (including me) will chose For Honor instead.

From Jedi Knight to Warband to Chivalry To dark Souls the community has had a strong for these types of games. If it is good it should have a fair amount.

This can't be stated enough. It doesn't take that long but gives you significantly more of an advantage.
