Like I said in the other thread, there is only one single song in that list that remotely interests me, but considering the soundtrack is the least important thing in a racing game it doesnt change anything.

Blech. Looks like I'm going to Horizon XS and staying there. Do licensed drivers just not listen to classic rock at all or something?

Horizon is technically a music festival so it's more about discovering new music. The classical station is a straight up station in Tuscany though.

I think in the sort of driving game FH is, the soundtrack is a lot more important because there's an element of just enjoying the act of cruising around the game world rather than being stuck on tracks, like in vanilla Forza. Obviously, during actual race events, it might be better to just have engine sounds and such without the distraction of music in-game, but an open world meant to be explored and enjoyed casually lends itself to a soundtrack or set of radio stations. The other thing is, if you aren't familiar with the artists and songs available, it's a nice opportunity to become so and maybe add some new names to your list.

The thing is, I enjoy cruising to music I like, and there's only one song I like on this soundtrack. As good as Debaser is, I doubt I can listen to it on repeat, so just like Horizon 1 I'll have the soundtrack muted the entire time.

Definitely some jams on that list. Read Hospital Records as Hospital Productions though, and got excited until I read the track list. :eek:

Also, Red Eyes by The War on Drugs comes from one of the best albums of the year, and probably ever.

Right, but like I said in my edit of the quoted post, maybe it's time to open up the old mental musical books and add some new entries into it by being exposed to new stuff. I've probably explored more music in my 30s and now 40s than I did in the first half of my existence by giving a listen to new stuff when I have the opportunity. After all, it's just sitting there waiting to be listened to. Ideally, though, custom soundtracks should be an option for those that want to stick to what they know and like.

Jesus, just thinking about screaming down the coast at night during a rainstorm while listening to Vivaldi is giving me goosebumps.

I've already heard probably 50% of the songs in this list and hated them. The Horizon games are fantastic but the soundtrack PG goes for are generally songs that I've heard before and disliked. I'm sure I'll leave the radio running to try out the remaining other 50%, but judging by the last game it's not going to be anything good and will end up muted.

Having only in-game sounds playing makes the experience much better for me, it means I can either just listen to the awesome engine notes or play music that I actually like.

I've never heard of any of the bands on Innovative Leisure Radio but a quick listen to a few songs and like what I hear there too.

So, no proper rock station again. Exactly the same situation as the first game in that none of the music suits me at all. Hope the engine sounds are good, because that's all I'll be listening to.

...I have almost no idea who any of these people are, except for Cage the Elephant. I'm not saying this is going to be bad, but at least with the orginal there were a few well known people like: The Lonely Boys, Neon Trees and Avicii.

Any mention of a track select option? Never listened to anything Pulse in the first game, and ended up turning the radio to off when a bad song comes on.

I'd also like it if the various races/events didn't go and change the station on me at the start of the race!
