I backed this. Only 25 bucks but I really hope this makes goal. Do games that ever make this much initially ever NOT meet their goal?

Based on most of the smaller games I've backed that were successful this seems to be following the same pattern. Pretty good start that lasts for a few days, then a massive lull, but it will likely pick up a lot towards the end. It'll make its goal, but most of the stretch goals are likely out of reach.

I'm excited and hoping for the best with this game. I'm a person who knows little to nothing about game design, or what stretch goals are usually like for kickstarter projects. It kind of seems to me that most of those goals should already be included with the game, specifically the stretch goals for the extra kill moves. I kind of expected that kind of stuff to be in the base game. I understand having a stretch goal for single player and things like that, but I'm kind of scratching my head with some of these. Is this normal?
Edit: Looks like I'm not alone.
Revised Stretch Goal Chart
This whole time, we've been watching and listening, even when we hadn't announced a single stretch goal yet. We've heard what the backers and fans have been saying and we've taken it all into account. The team has been talking amongst ourselves, comparing notes and discussing all of our options. We've debated about what we could do to be able to re-configure, re-order, re-plan, reduce costs, and add other stretch goals that the fans have been asking for. We hope this shows our commitment to you, this game, Jason Voorhees, and the Friday the 13th franchise we all love.
First up, we've taken Savini's Workshop & the Sleeping Bag Kill and will be adding those into the game at the 700k base goal. The team has rallied on your behalf and will work on their own time to get these done for you, and they will be included with the game at launch.
Next, we re-ordered stretch goals, moving some highly sought after goals lower on the list. These are still unannounced and blurred out at the moment, but soon you'll see that what you've been asking for, has now been brought within reach.
Finally, we've added some fan requests, and the most popular ones were moved to lower places on the list so they could be unlocked sooner. It was clear what you wanted, and we hope anyone sitting on the fence will see that we can all make these happen.
We also wanted to let everyone know that should we not hit all of our Stretch Goals, we will be considering adding them post-launch as DLC updates. We'd love to give them all to everyone and include them in the game by default, but need to hit the goals to do that. I know this has been a question and concern from some of you out there, so I wanted to lump this into today's update to address it.

Interesting part here:
Have they shown any actual gameplay yet?
.Did you really avoid big game publishers just to put in more T&A? Or did you just not want to give up creative control?
GunMedia:
It's a mixture of us wanting to push as hard as we can for the type of violence and gore that is synonymous with Friday the 13th. A lot of publishers aren't too comfortable with this type of game, being asymmetric as well.
TL;DR dem titties.
If this game comes out I will shit
still strugling....100k $ 10 days left.
The good news is that they stated that the game will get made even if this fails. I really want to see them make it though.
Already pledged.
In a world where Shenmue raised $6.3 million, Im utterly surprised this hasn't raised $700k yet.
If this game comes out I will shit
man. it slowed down A LOT
man. it slowed down A LOT
Actually think last day or two it's picked up a bit of speed.
10,205 backers
$684,619 pledged of $700,000 goal
3 days to go
It will easily get to 700k in the last three days. Dissapointed we won't hit some of the sub 1 million stretch goals. At least the game gets made.
Excited that it's funded, but it's a long way from single player.
