Kid Cudi Blasts Label, Shows Off Suicidal Tattoo
We knew Kid Cudi had some rage issues — his nickname is Mr. Rager, after all — but someone really needs to give him a massage or a hug or something. Coinciding with the release of his new collaborative album with Dot Da Genius, WZRD, the rapper — who blew a gasket at the crowd at his album listening party — showed off his new, incredibly morbid tattoo of two slit wrists. “New Tat The old Scott is dead…slit wrists,” tweeted Cudder. You’d think that WZRD being #1 on iTunes would give him something to be smile about, but Cudi is spending the day furiously blasting his record label for not shipping out enough physical copies of his CD.

“My weak ass label only shipped 55k physicals cuz they treated this like some indie side project tax right off,” tweeted Cudi. “So i apologize on behalf of my weak ass major label. And I apologize for the lack of promo, again, my weak ass major label. They tried to rush me thru this so i can just give em another MOTM, but guess what? Fuck that, next album is WZRD. MOTM3 on hold til 2014.”

He continues: “Who mad??? not me and @DotDaGenius : ) So its def gonna be tough to find one in the stores guys, I’m sorry about that. I gotta go out and find one too, becuz my weak ass label never even gave us a copy of our own album. FAIL!!! Im lettin Universal Republic have it, fuck it. What they gon’ do, spank me?? hahahaha.”

Considering musica fans’ purchasing behavior these days, we don’t think Cudi has much to worry about. When is the last time you actually headed out to a record store to buy an album on opening day?
Him saying "Weak ass label" the whole time makes me laugh more then anything.

I wouldn't mind another Shock Value. I enjoyed both of them.

Exactly what I was going to say.

I dropped off posting here significantly in the last few months. School, job, girlfriend. Growing up came quickly in the past 3 months. Crazy. I've been damn happy though.

I'll answer those questions soon.

I spent the time to read all of your bios, because I care like that.

Also, I was tripping on my first hip-hop album. The very first one was MC Hammer's 'Let's Get It Started'.

I was like five or six and me and my brother would go nuts dancing to that shit front to back.

Where'd you get your username? It came to me in a vision.

Age? 27

Where do you live? London, England

Where are you from? London, England

How'd you end up where you are? Was born and raised here, and have always lived here apart from when I went to university.

First Hip Hop Album? Coolio - Gangsta's Paradise.

Top 5 movies? Pulp Fiction, Love Exposure, Pans Labyrinth, Network, Glengarry Glen Ross.

Top 5 Video games? Final Fantasy 7, Goldeneye, Halo, Metal Gear Solid 1, ISS Pro (until it started getting shitty a few years back)

What did you read last? Live To Tell by Lisa Gardner. Currently reading 11.22.63 by Stephen King.

What did you watch last? This weeks episode of Justified.

Favorite non hip hop album? The Avalanches - Since I Left You.

Favorite Drink? Soft drink would be Mountain Dew which is unfortunate because I can't get it over here. Alcoholic would be some kind of coconut based drink like cocomania or malibu, mixed with a nice rum, bourbon or brandy with coke.

Play any sports? Was really into playing football (sorry, soccer to the yanks in here) and basketball when growing up and enjoyed athletic events like long jump and 200 metres. Then smoking and drinking came into my life lol.

How was your high school life? I'm not even sure what our equivalent of high school is over here. I would guess college in which case I was never smart enough to be a nerd, or dumb enough to be a retard, I wasn't the most popular but cool with a lot of people and normally found puff puff passing during break times.

Bad habits? Clue is in the username. Also occasionally cigarettes and I drink far too much i'm like the fucking black Archer without the super spy skills so basically just an alcoholic degenerate. I'm actually on a break from alcohol going almost 3 weeks strong. Go me.

Employment? Currently volunteering for a housing advice charity which helps homeless people to privately rent their own accomodation as long as they can satisfy certain criteria.

Hobbies? Music, watching films and TV shows, internetting, the occasional book, watching football, drinking (usually) smoking that good shit, other certain white drugs when I can get a hold of them (MDMA is fucking incredible) chasing pussy, does porn count? If so that to.

If you could slap one artist in the face with a sock filled with quarters? Wiz Khalifa. Between his insufferable courting of Amber Rose, his claim that with Kush and OJ he invented a brand new genre of music, and his recent claim that he's going to make 100 million dollars next year, clearly someone needs to fucking slap those delusions of grandeur out of his bullshit dyed blonde streaked head. I only listened to him because i'm a fan of spitta and now he's making more money than Curren$y probably ever will. One of a billion reasons why life isn't fair.

Why'd you end up on gaf? Think I must have been searching for some random hip hop related thing, stumbled across gaf hop, found the discussions informative, irreverent and entertaining and decided I wanted in.

Other threads you frequent? I'm only here for the hip hop the other threads don't really exist to me.

Threads you avoid like the plague? I don't avoid them I just don't know what they are and don't really care. Maybe if someone made a weed or film related one I would care.

Most significant hip hop album to you (note not best or greatest, just most significant)? Sticky Fingaz - Black Trash: The Autobiography Of Kirk Jones. I get that Prince Paul's Prince Among Thieves is also great in terms of full length conceptual albums with a beginning to end narrative. But I got into this one first and love how it can provide rowdy songs like Not Die'n and Get It Up, conceptual songs like Money Talks and What If I Was White, something contemplative like Oh My God or something story based like State vs. Kirk Jones while being perfectly sequenced, alternately dark and humorous and driving along the narrative with each song. I get why it probably doesn't make anyones favourite rap album lists but i'm of the opinion that it's one of the most underrated albums of all time.

Best thing about hip hop? It can provide pretty much anything you want out of music. Whether you want smarmy fuck boy sing rapping from Drake, something abrasive like El-P's production, a guy just going in over acoustic guitar like 2pac's or Nas's Thug Mansion or something more dance oriented, hip-hop has got you. It can comfortably incorporate samples or original instrumentation without missing a beat and can evolve in a myriad of different directions. Plus because of the nature of rapping, you can fit so much more detail into the lyrics about your story or how great your cars and jewelry are or how the police are evil or whatever.

Worst thing? The immature attitudes that are prevalent among some. In no other genre would people give a fuck about how old a performer is or how much they sold or whether they are 'relevant'. Good music is good music it shouldn't matter who makes it or how relevant they are to the scene at the time.

Shittiest thing you've ever done? I once got so drunk on a new years eve, that I attempted to 'borrow' my dads' car when I didn't have a driving license at the time and then was slanging all kinds of insults at him when I was caught out. I probably should have given up drinking from then but fuck it.

Cops are looking to speak with rapper Rick Ross … after a 40-year-old man was shot to death in front of his Miami Gardens home this morning … TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us … Ross was NOT home at the time of the shooting and at this point in the investigation, he’s not considered a suspect.

We’re told cops found the victim laying inside a gate at the home.

Most likely a washed up 90's rapper wanting to join MMG.

I enjoyed the first one but never bothered with the second. I actually like a couple of the songs he did off Nelly Furtado's loose. His production is catchy as fuck.

The second one was like him trying to recreate the success without any of the variety and it was disappointing. It felt like every song was trying to be either Apologize or Promiscuous Girl.

The first Shock Value is underrated.

I'll be doing that survey tomorrow or later on today but I'd like to add a question. First hiphop song you memorised? Mine would have to be The Real Slim Shady this was before I got into hiphop and it was just a pop song my 9 year old self could easily remember.

First name? I will remain a mystery. Alias is Davawn

Where'd you get your username? I wanted to be deep, and at that time, I was thinking, many of the things in the world get broken only to be fixed/patched with a band-aid only to break again without there ever being a real solution to the problem. As humans, we are a direct reflection of that..thus Fixed2bebroken. Years later, I wish I never made the name and just wish I had something more simple and dumb. Makes life easier on a forum.

Age? 26

Where do you live? Richmond/Bad Newz, VA

Where are you from? Bad Newz, VA

How'd you end up where you are? Born and Raised in Bad newz, Moved to Richmond cause of a Job.

First Hip Hop Album? this one is hard to remember exactly, but I think it was Slick Rick's first album though, The Great Adventure's of Slick Rick.

Top 5 movies? Mulholland drive, Chasing Amy, Kill Bill Vol.1 and 2 (I consider this one film as that was the original intention), The Dark knight, and Rock N Rolla tied with Drive for 5th.

Top 5 Video games? Super Metroid, Megaman 2, Batman: Arkham City, Deus Ex, and FF VII.

What did you read last? Lullaby by Chuck Palanhiuk

What did you watch last? Nba All star Game. LOL @ Lebron

Favorite non hip hop album? Demon Days - Gorillaz (but there are rappers on there so that might not count..) SO.....House of Balloons - the Weeknd

Favorite Drink? Grape Propel

Play any sports? Football and Basketball

How was your high school life? Was Cool with everybody. While that was cool, it was kinda lame when you had to pick sides.

Bad habits? Going to Strip clubs every now and then and wasting money....Shouldn't go at all to be honest. Not getting enough sleep as well.

Employment? Manager within a Large Corporation.

Hobbies? Movies, Sports (football and basketball), Music, Gaming.

If you could slap one artist in the face with a sock filled with quarters?

Mac Miller. He used a sample that I used and it pissed me off. And I dont think he's that nice.

The Majority of Odd Future, I love Frank ocean to death, and Tyler seems alright from his interviews, but the rest of them bums are clowns, and aren't tough, but talk tough rhymes.

LiL B, dude is just wack as shit, and he is no God to me, whether based or whatever. I'd steal on him the way that one kid did in that video and instead of run, I would stand over him and stare him down.

Why'd you end up on gaf? This was so damn long ago, when gaf was just one forum and the forum would move so fucking fast.....It was before we moved to these forums, Gaf was a different forum format and everything. I've been a member of Gaf for fucking ever....probably a year after it originally got started. I just remember looking up some game info on Alta Vista (remember alta vista? that use to be the hotness) and then ending up on Gaf somehow and then from there checking back for info...etc. I just don't post often, cause I got shit to do.

Other threads you frequent? NFL , NBA, I browse the gaming forum though mostly it's lurking, sometimes hit the fitness thread....and I check random off topic stuff as well. Everywhere basically.

Threads you avoid like the plague? One's that don't interest me?

Most significant hip hop album to you (note not best or greatest, just most significant)? Only Built for Cuban Linx - by Raekwon....which to me is the best hiphop album of all time. I got the Purple tape, the day it came out, my friend and I went home, and it was the ONLY album that we ever played all the way through in one sitting without ever Fast forwarding..cause it was THAT GOOD. I always felt that this is what the perfect ALBUM is like and that it is the bar I measure any hiphop album that came out after it to. When "The Cool" came out...I felt that album almost reached that bar.

Best thing about hip hop? Hiphop Saved my life. Like that Lupe Song, It really did. I don't really need to go into detail, but without Hiphop....who knows how I would have ended up, based off of what was going on in my life growing up and how hiphop music was what kept me getting by.

Worst thing? Posers, Noobs (i know everybody's gotta start at some point, and I know it's better for hiphop to have more newcomers....but I still get annoyed with noobs). Just wackness in general. How Corporate america has tried to commercialize and dumbdown hiphop in general.

Shittiest thing you've ever done? Not gonna get into detail about this, cause it was pretty gross and fucked up...but it involved me fucking a girl during a certain time of the month as part of it.

Got something that has been irking me for a few days.

WTF happened to Bun B? I was listening to "The Southern Way", UGK's first tape and he was flowing like water. Listened to the "Underground Kings" album and he was jamming. Listened to "Trill" and impressed again. Listened to him on Yelawolf's 'Good To Go", classic. Then I listened "Trill OG" and it kinda sucked. Then I listedn to his most recent features and they sucked. Mailing it in, saying the exact same thing.

I follow dude on twitter and he is begging to play with Radiohead at a upcoming music festival. I mean, begging. He also was talking about starting a movement together so he can perform at the NBA All Star game next season. I am thinking, "Why in the hell would they pick you? Slim Thug has been puttingin 10 times as much work as you have done in the past 5 years!".

I am just so disappointed. Bun was the closest thing I had to a rap hero growing up. But now he done fell completely off and lost sight of where is stands in the rap pecking order. He is now that old timer they bring out before the baseball game to throw out the first pitch. You gotta respect what he has done in the past, but currently he has nothing really going on.

...Okay, now I feel better.

Honestly, I think a lot of artists from his generation are finding themselves in a weird position. 50 Cent is in the same position, except fiddy has that vitamin water money.

Wait hold up.. fiddy aint from the same generation as Bun B. fiddys like the same class as kanye.
