I just had a cake and wine with my family. Will probably celebrate some more with friends this weekend ;)
And I will try to post a picture or two. I just generally don't have much pictures, and I don't like self-shooted pictures (I look odd at them :P).

for valentine's day i won't actually do anything, because it's on thursday but on the 15th me and my boyfriend are going to a nice restaurant.

Usually we go to some fancy place for valentine's day or our anniversary but we are a little tight on money this year, and i'm still not sure about what give to him as a present.

still nothing, they are taking their sweet time, also probably because as we already discussed they wouldn't hire me before april...

open relationship gay-gaf, what are the ground rules you set up? i'm trying this out for the first time.

so far i have:
- veto power
- always play safe
- don't ask don't tell
- don't let hookups cut into "us" time
- not in our bed (he has a playroom so it's not a big deal whatsoever)

is it unfair for me to say that we should spend most of our sex time on each other, rather than with others? or is that a pointless rule? we spend 3-4 days a week together, so i suppose it's more likely that we would anyways, but i don't know...i have no doubt that he will be hooking up with more guys than i, since he works 15 hours a week, so i'd like to feel like i'm not getting taken for granted or not getting my needs met because he's using up all of his drive on others.

and guys, please don't be rude about this. my bf and i love each other very much.

i personally couldn't ever handle an open relationship with my bf, but if i really had to i think i'd prefer him to be open about it and tell me who's sleeping with.
also i'd add a no kissing rule and a no constant partner rule: one thing is sleeping around another thing is choosing to sleep with always a specific person that is not me.

but once again, i'm not someone who likes this kind of relationships.

edit: i'm not judging you guys btw, it's just not my cup of tea

edit2: also i'd add a rule about not actual sleeping with other people. do your business with whoever you want to, but you don't sleep with them.

good points! i definitely appreciate it, as i've never been the open relationship type. i feel like i might as well try it out to see how it works htough.

the veto rule actually came up as i voiced my anxiety over him sleeping with someone repeatedly and having it end up like he has two boyfriends. he insists it won't happen and will be honest with me.

he also hasn't had someone sleep in his bed since 2005 (aside from me over the last 5 months), so i'm most definitely sure he won't be doing that.



edit: hmm... i'm starting to wonder if the don't ask don't tell rule is a good idea. i thought it would be good so i wouldn't have to think about what he's doing, but i fear my imagination will run wild if i don't know.

Well I was in an open relationship before and I would say that when I read 'Don't ask don't tell' on your list that was the only thing that really jumped out at me.

For me, telling my ex about what I had gotten up to and stuff was kind of a turn on actually, but it also feels good to be honest. I would feel that for an open relationship to work, you should have these rules and stick to them, and to always be open and honest. For it to work you need to have a lot of trust in each other, and so always 'asking and telling' helps to nurture that trust.

I'm not in an open relationship, but if I was this would be my ground rules.

1) Record one of the sex sessions, I believe that watching my boyfriend get f'd by somebody else would turn me on or make me real upset. If it did make me upset I could use the tears as lube while masturbating to the video. Also if my boyfriend seems to be enjoying the sex more I could steal some of the guys moves to improve myself.

2) We could only sex the same guy three times. This stops my boyfriend from developing feelings for the other guy. Mutual masturbation also counts as sex in this instant, so I would advise my boyfriend not to waste one of the three times on doing some small sexual stuff.

3)My boyfriend would always ask the guy he's with if he wants a threesome. This rule is simple really if he's getting some I should be too.

4)I need to see what the guy looks like first. I cannot have my boyfriend having sex with people who are cuter than me.

5)After a sex session with his "others" my boyfriend would have to brush his teeth before kissing me. I don't want to taste the other guys cock on his breath... Actually that could be slightly hot so this rule could be broken

The dating dilemmas I seem to be in right now:

1) The ex I still hang out with, its an unspoken truce of couple-ish things but no rules or requirements.

2) The long time new city crush that i've been hanging out with more but I believe both A) the interest lies somewhere else and B) theres more benefits from keeping a platonic relationship then risking the complications of a physical/romantic

and

3) The hang out once and the flurry of text messages that are coming on too strong, saying things WAYYYY too soon, and needing the constant reassurance that everything is OK.

lmao, on another forum I post on, the rules regarding quality posts are pretty lax (read: almost nonexistant), and i've managed to rack up several 10s of thousands of posts over the past 4 years. Every time I say "Okay, I'm gonna stop shitposting", I do it for a day and then it's back to quoting people and just writing "same".

low quality posting is great!
