Actually, check that. There is no way Epic will gimp their sales with a Vista only release. GoW PC will be Vista and XP compatible.
Microsoft will be publishing, so Epic do as they're told.FormulaOne said:Actually, check that. There is no way Epic will gimp their sales with a Vista only release. GoW PC will be Vista and XP compatible.

wanna bet?McDragon said:It looks like new maps + fighting that huge boss in the prison level, which i doubt Epic would release it on the 360.

It does. I remember reading that somewhere.RiskyChris said:Maybe the HOME key on your keyboard works like the dashboard button on the 360 controller?

Well, if my memory serves me, a Brumak is what the crew runs from at the end of Act 4. So perhaps they change that last sequence where you rush through the courtyard to the APV, and instead fight the Brumak before taking off in the APV? It wouldn't make sense for it to be placed anywhere else in the game, at least based on its current flow.McDragon said:No bets, lol.
reason for doubting it, is that i am assuming you fight the huge locust in the prison (1st level) so with that said, how can Epic add him now? even if they did, it's pointless.
unless what i am saying is bullshit and this is a whole new level.
That's what I'm wondering. Is the upped framerate because of DX10's capabilities, or due to improvements to UE3? Moreover, could a patch instate such improvements?Skilotonn said:And now that I think about it, yeah, Epic was pretty pressed for time with Gears which is probably why the Brumak fight didn't make the cut the first time... I wouldn't be surprised if they could've gotten it at the same framerate as well on the 360...
Oh god I hope so.Chairman Yang said:Maybe Epic will make it fake "Vista only" like the games that have been released so far. Like how you can download a patch to run Shadowrun, Halo 2, Geometry Wars, etc. in XP.

Where the 60fps trailer? The ~26MB GameVideos one was only 30fps.Relix said:Maybe this is GoW2 =P. Or a patch for GOW with DLC and able to run 60FPS, and trust me, this is one of the few times I notice the FPS difference between games, that was... AMAZING

Haunted One said:game looks good, but that GfW Live achievement popping up ruined it for me. Vista only confirmed.
It's not even the same environment. To be honest, it doesn't really look like the prison break section either.McDragon said:I don't remember act 4 in this...color.
Exactamundo. There's no patch that will magically bump up the 360's performance to that of a card that came out two years later.bee said:sorry but do you honestly believe they could double the frame rate of the game on the 360 in a patch? the reason its running higher fps is simply cos it will be running on a 8800gtx which is just way more powerful than a 360, as has already been shown in ports like dirt and lost planet.
Really? If true I might pick it up since I sold my 360 copy.FartOfWar said:Not Vista only.

I'm pretty sure everyone knows that. That doesn't mean it's not sexy.Zefah said:People saying "Omg they made it 60fps!": Do you own a gaming PC?
Its not like they are going to cap the framerate at 30fps or something. If you have a badass PC then it will run the game at a higher framerate. They can't balance / lock the framerate like they can for a console game.
The HD version I got from gamevideos.com was 29fps; with great motion blur.Fragamemnon said:
