Guess it's different strokes for different folks, I'm in the 800's on ranked solo standard and can't go without ball cam. Only time I switch is when I need to hit someone out of the way on a ball hanging in the air for a while.

You put yourself in a way better position though if you spent the 30min-1hr to get acclimated to dribbling with ballcam on. Only want to switch to carcam to find boosts quickly. Also I don't think any of them have realized just how useful backflipping up to speed is.
