The only one that matters does.
Well, that was designed to be held in portrait. You do have a point.

Don't know, but the difference between a living or dead Android tablet market might be?
Not feeling it :|
Movies, Music, Apps, Books, and what's the last one? I kinda wish Games had its own category.I like the minimalistic icons there. Hope they become standard in 4.1.

what's the last one?
I'm not really knowledgeable on this stuff but how would it do as a meda player? Would it be able to play AVI, MKV files etc.?
We all know Google I/O is just around the corner with yet another Nexus tablet leak today and news of some new Google TV products hitting the market soon. We will of course be on hand this week with live coverage of the event, and Google will be making things even easier this year thanks to a new blogging tool its unleashing specifically for the conference. As noted on Googles developers site, you can now create your own embeddable Google I/O keynote live blogging gadget that will pull the events live video stream and and posts from your Google+ account:

To create your own Google I/O live blogging gadget, go to Googles gadget configurator here. Google I/O is scheduled to kick off on Wednesday, June 27.
In the context of such tight stagecraft, Google I/O presents some difficulties. In the past, Google has used the conference to announce new software products, such as the defunct Google Wave, and to give away new Android hardware, Oprah-style, to attendees. But true to Googles engineering roots, the affair typically has had a wonky flavor, with the reveals geared toward developers. If new Google-branded hardware is truly imminent, the company may have to turn away from the nerds and their cardboard tubes. It needs to produce a show-stopper that convinces consumers and shareholders alike that Google hardware running Google software can command the worlds attention and its cash.
Investors are likely looking to I/O for some kind signal from Google to justify its $12.5 billion Motorola acquisition announced last August.
Hilwa said Google could do itself the biggest favor at I/O by presenting a more coherent vision of how all its products fit together.
Id like to see a strategic direction that encompasses all the different platforms, he said. How are they going to unify their screens and experiences across web and devices?"
The rumored nexus tablet specs aren't all that amazing, and seem to mimic some of the failings of the kindle fire. Hopefully they turn out to be fake and we get something better.
Surprised it hasn't been posted in here yet.
Supposedly there are other uses for nfc, but yeah, you'd have to be on WiFi first.
They'll need to justify putting nfc into a WiFi tablet in order to deflect questions about why they didn't trade nfc for sd slot or rear camera.
Laptops are getting NFC so I don't see why it wouldn't.
But Google wants to keep it cheap. If the feature is inconvenient to use then why include it and take up such a big piece off the device cost that could have been better used for features that should almost be standardized at this point in time?
That's why I think they'll have some cool nfc stuff to talk about at the event to make its inclusion in this tablet seem more attractive.
yeah I wouldn't say the current market is well designed, but that doesn't look good to me, espeically with on-screen buttons where you would now have bars on bars.EWWW at that bottom bar. Way too iPhone-ish and toy-ish. Doesn't adhere to Holo at all.

Isn't that what the action bar is for anyway?
You can split the action bar into a lower segment as well (like in GMail).

I really hope they improve the memory management of Android. It's so annoying when the launcher gets pushed from the memory on my top of the line device :/
Thankfully 4.0.4 made the multitasking view respond a lot quicker, but it's still like 85% of the way there.
I rarely use the launcher so that isn't much of a problem for me, but I use the multitasking all the time.
dimmedWait that "screenshot" doesn't even make sense, where's the system buttons?
Ok just came back from Verizon to see some 7" tablets compared to my 4.65" galaxy nexus
I've concluded I dont need a 7" tablet at all
The added size and weight is not worth the 2" inches of screen space which I hardly noticed
I don't understand.
Fricking Samsung. S3 can burn in Jersey.
Wait that "screenshot" doesn't even make sense, where's the system buttons?
Are you talking about the software keys the GNex has? The S3 doesn't have those, it has traditional hardware keys (although only Home is a physical key; the others are touch keys).
they disappear on the blue model too, can confirm with my own eyes. They light back up when you use the phone. You can't tell they are there unless they're lit up. I don't know if its different on the blue model.

Funny you mention that, if I end up picking it up, I'm gonna change my GN for an NS.
NS ? Nexus ?
Yeah that sounds ideal gnex for phone
Gnex tablet for tablet
4.65" is pretty good for me to be honest enough not to warrant a 7" tablet
Even though I might end up picking one up because of the 199$ price point quad core + jellybean.
And Jelly Beans are up!
