Michael seems to be the main focus. You begin the game as him (I believe) and then the other characters are introduced.
I can't wait to check out that intro. Won't spoil it for people who haven't read about it, but some previews talked about it since it was in the hands-off demo R* gave to the press. It's supposedly pretty cool.
28 more days!
I really hope that crews can rip each other off or try to interfere with each others heists. Imagine being like a Robin Hood style crew, manipulating a more powerful crew's stocks and assets, then being targeted by hitmen, so you start tailing the other crew and throwing wrenches into their best laid heists and robberies by calling the cops on them or shooting out their getaway vehicle tires, and...I just want it so badly!
Seriously envisioning how crews will band together to pull off heists... And all the glorious customization options for our MP characters.
I never saw that long 20min intro video that Rockstar did for GTA:SA until like 6 or 7 years later after beating it a handful of times.

If this comes out on next gen consoles too, I'm soo double-dipping and getting that too!
Well the previews mentioned heists with 20 different components and from the gameplay trailers, it seems that you can pick NPC specialists, entrances, exits, getaway vehicles, different tactics. And the MP previews mentioned how yelling at cashier makes them act fasterI wonder how much depth there is to the heists. I hope it's not just a simple run and gun thing and go inside the vault and take money thing. With the good shooting mechanics they have I hope they provide a challenge now. Shooting in GTAIV was HORRIBLE.
I can't believe I've never seen this.I never saw that long 20min intro video that Rockstar did for GTA:SA until like 6 or 7 years later after beating it a handful of times.

Ok, I'll stop now.
360. Clearly R* have learned a lot in terms of how to better code for PS3 compared to when they did GTA IV, but my thinking is that no matter how much they've learned since then they could never really catch up to their level of prowess in developing for the 360, which is essentially just an old PC inside a console shell. They can code for it in their sleep. I'm sure the PS3 version being used to promote the game is all down to R*'s current deal with Sony, and I don't think they'd have agreed to that unless the PS3 version was good enough. But I'm sure the 360 version will have a slight edge. Remember how everyone noticed trees were missing in the game play reveal video, compared to earlier screen shots? I'll bet those missing trees turn up in the 360 version.
While there will always be some very slight variations in how any multi-platform game looks on one system versus another due to the unique hardware of the consoles themselves, trust that we’re committed to making sure GTAV looks and runs as great as possible regardless of whether you pick it up for PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360.
- The camera will zoom out and pan away to your online character seamlessly. During the animation, a matchmaking process will be in progress.
- Matchmaking will depend on which friends are playing, and what people have ranks near yours.
- You can do almost anything you can do in single player in GTA Online.
- Each mission requires a rank depending on difficulty and complexity. The bigger your rank, the more difficult the missions will be.
- There are around 700 missions in GTA Online.
- Missions will be ordered randomly as you play Online.
- For certain heists you might need certain weapons, vehicles or characters such as a sniper or a driver. This will also depend on the mission creator if you download the mission from the Social Club.
- Some missions are so complex they need plenty of good communication.
- There will be descriptions to help each character on its heist function.
- You can change weather, time of day, time you want it to rain or to be a certain weather state, radio station to be tuned at the start of the race or mission in the Content Creator.
- There is something called "team lives". If you have 4 team lives and 4 people, if everyone dies there will be 0 lives left, or if you die 4 times, the team will have 0 lives left, which means if anyone dies, it's mission failed.
- You can watch races and deathmatches on your apartment TV.
- There are masks to hide from the cops.
- The Online will be run on the Social Club servers, data will be stored on the cloud. There are datacenters from NY to San Diego, and more Rockstar studios.
Not sure if some of this info has been posted already. but here are some more GTAO info from various interviews

WTF that's crazy.
Still have my soundtrack with the DVD- it still is fantastic!
There's no way such clipping will be on PS3 but no on 360. Even in RDR (I finished the game on both platforms), which is a bit better on 360, there is no such problems. GTA V won't be Bayonetta.
But that isn't a questionThere's no way such clipping will be on PS3 but no on 360. Even in RDR (I finished the game on both platforms), which is a bit better on 360, there is no such problems. GTA V won't be Bayonetta.
I asked Rockstar about this after the gameplay trailer
It's PS3 for me because of the dualshock and the free online. And maybe with a PS4 version I'll keep my save and stats.
Now what I really want to know if we can hide name tags or PSN indicators so we can masquerade as civilians to other players
Imagine the possibilites...
Whilst Sony confirmed GTA 5 would be a day one digital title for the PS3, the platform holder revealed consumers who pre-order the title from the PlayStation store will also get 75 per cent off any other Rockstar title.
So I just preordered on the PSN and am having trouble figuring out how to add the 75% to other rockstar titles? Anyone know where to go to get that deal on the PS store site for that?
Uh... I thought I heard "Starting this Friday"
Yeah I was thinking (going along with that other idea of interfering with other crews) like posing as civilians in the bank that a crew is going to heist or following them inconspicuouslyHaha, that'd be pretty awesome.
They said in the CVG interview that there would be perks/unlockables to hide your radar reticule/marker. In GTAIV, if you walked then your name and marker would not show up on the radar... Once you started running it would show up.
That'd be pretty hilarious.
I am hoping that in the free roam MP that NPCs still get into trouble like they do in the single player free roam. So that you see cops chasing NPCs, arresting them, etc, small shootouts, like what you saw in GTA4 single player or III/VC/SA single player. That was always awesome and made the world feel more alive.
What "clipping"? I didn't mention any clipping. I mentioned missing foliage, which also happened to be the one biggest tell-tale issue with RDR on PS3.
I got this on a DVD that came with the San Andreas soundtrack. Haven't watched it in years until now lol.I never saw that long 20min intro video that Rockstar did for GTA:SA until like 6 or 7 years later after beating it a handful of times.

i will say this though, and you can quote me on this when it comes out
"I believe Michael and Trevor are brothers.." straight up
it only makes sense
Of course it's not supported. Can't listen to this at work -- They say Cross Platform coop isn't supported right? Because I just can't imagine that it will be... but... it would be awesome.
Download one of the third party YouTube apps. Lets you keep the audio running in the background. I use YouPlayer. Can't listen to this at work -- They say Cross Platform coop isn't supported right? Because I just can't imagine that it will be... but... it would be awesome.
BTW, is there any way to download these and not have to watch the youtube? Love to listen to this driving home but iPhones shut off audio of a video as soon as the screen goes off and I dont want to keep the video running
What da fuck.Someone claims he played GTA V at Gamescom.
"I was one of the few who had the honor to play GTA V demo at Gamescom 2013 .... I DID JUST CUM! Unfortunately, any video recordings were banned"
That guy doesn't seem like a random troll, so maybe it's true.
