Shhhhh no facts now.
Where did i say it was in H5? I was talking about H4.

Some people enjoy arena shooters more than cod style ads shooters. It isn't about adapting, it's about preference.

Well let them make the game they wanna make. If you prefer you can buy something else lol.
Some of you (spoiler: almost all of you) need to realize that it's not 2003 anymore and your favorite game series can't stay the same and it needs to grow up, just like you do

This. For fuck's sake, this. Some people enjoy arena shooters more than cod style ads shooters. It isn't about adapting, it's about preference.
And the fact that Halo was one of the few games that catered to that preference.
Well let them make the game they wanna make. If you prefer you can buy something else lol.
30 seconds of video has spawned ~70 pages of rage. That has got to be some sort of a record.
Mostly campaign. I tried the multi for 3, Reach, and 4 but never lasted for more than a week. Just never really clicked for me the way CoD does.Blows my mind how anyone can be a fan of series and actually like Halo 4. Are you a big MP player or just a fan of the campaign?
If the ADS doesn't impede mobility or add any accuracy, then it's still an arena shooter as far as I'm concerned. Besides, ADS already exists in the series in the form of the Halo 1 pistol, Battle Rifle, Sniper Rifle, Carbine...etc. etc.
Well let them make the game they wanna make. If you prefer you can buy something else lol.
Right but they clearly got it from COD, even the animation is similar. Further proof is adding perks, killstreaks, flinch, etc. You cant be that naive.
LMFAO What? There was more to that gif? That fucking head pat. What a response to that shit post.
If COD didn't exist you would probably think they're great ideasGood ideas should be copied.
I don't think ADS and sprinting are good ideas for Halo.
No, you didn't mention Halo 4. And since this thread is about Halo 5 people assumed you talk about Halo 5. But I get you now. Still, I don't really see the argument when it's already clear that Halo 5 won't have any of these ...
Its right there in the title of the very first game. Why does Halo need to evolve?
Jup I wish that PD would make GT7 an arcade style racer and hope that Valve makes Half-Life 3 a tree simulator. And if any fans of those series has any problems with that they should just shut the fuck up because that's what PD and Valve want >.>Well let them make the game they wanna make. For fans of the series before Halo: Reach I would imagine it makes it worse. Sprint has brought nothing but problems to the series.
Though I get the feeling you're not even a fan of the series, you're coming off as someone just here to troll people who are.

This person gets it.I think the thing that makes Halo Halo, above all, is gameplay that rewards map control. The reason Halo 4 wasn't successful was because the drops completely negated map control.
Why does Halo need to evolve? You guys keep spouting this shit and never back up why. What's your favourite MP shooters by the way? That'll help explain a lot.
Right but sprint is still in and its one of the bigger issues.
Seems you're still talking about H4... Don't know why when its already proven on twitter than things like flinch, perks, KS's are not in this game at all.
Also its a fucking sprint, and last I checked spartans were humans. How different do you want their sprint animation to be?
Those people would be the vocal minority, the idiots who insist on change for the sake of change. Why fix what obviously isn't broken?I guess what I'm saying is that all of you need to accept that it's not 2003 anymore and it can't be the same shit over and over again. If it was the same shit over and over again, this would be a thread with people bitching about how the game hasn't evolved since 2003

Not only is it in the title but every game should evolve. If you're in a camp that wants things to stay the same (in any industry) then you're in the wrong camp. Life is about evolution. Survival of the fittest. Halo is not going to survive being the same game. Its not going to be fun either.
If you don't want change then don't play new games.

Reach introduced sprint to Halo - not Halo 4. And sprint clearly wasn't the main problem in that game. If sprint usage comes at a cost (which probably will be the case if we take Stinkles post), then it's just another interesting addition to the sandbox. Sprint isn't a problem in general. It only will become a problem if the implementation is bad.

Every Halo has changed things up. All of them.
Not everything works, sure, but there are as many Halo fans as there are campaigns and differences in multiplayer.

A hammer doesn't need a fucking laser sight as long as it hammers nails damn good.

Yeah, guys. Just...adapt. Adapt to something that makes Halo gameplay worse, guys. Just adapt!
Guys evolution is fine, 2/3 and some of Reach for me made great additions to the game. 343 have shown they know how to fuck up Halo and nothing else. It's normal to wary of anything else they intend to put into the game and stuff they leave in from Halo 4. Evolution is all well and good but I just really don't think sprint or ADS have any place in a Halo game.
I'd be happy if they just re-released Halo 2......oh shit.
It has to be good change or evolution though, or else it ends up like Halo 4. Probably why there was so little faith in 5.Well said, I honestly cannot understand why people don't want changes, there's Halo MCC there for you. They say "evolution" not necessary, but then there can be changes which are not sprint, but every change which has come has been bashed on by the same people. It's a never ending cycle.
Change is necessary for anything to survive, heck even fucking mario has changed from it's 2D side scrolling to a 3d platforming with so many mechanics.
What is innovative about the changes people don't like coming to Halo? Why did Halo ever evolve combat in the first place? Golden eye did a well enough job. Doom did as well. Why evolve anything? Just play the tunes that the crowd loves. Don't do anything new. Don't do create anything new. Just stick to what you know.
There are always ways to do things better. We don't know that what we're playing actually is broken. And it takes innovation or evolution to show us that.

Yeah but to others (you have to realize there is another side to the coin) there was nothing to really compare halo to on Consoles back then, now we do, the people have spoken over the last two games now. Honestly, at this point, I think the series should just have a permanent home on Pc where that crowd thrives. Console players have been moving away from the halo style of game play for a long while now. They did different things with 4, load outs ect ect, but it was still halo, who cares if there was sprinting? Do what everyone else does when a new mechanic introduced, learn it, master it, adapt, and most importantly still have fun. I think halo 4 gets a bad rep for alllll the wrong reasons. Backed by the blops2 migration, people make halo 4 to be a travesty when it was anything but thatSome people enjoy arena shooters more than cod style ads shooters. It isn't about adapting, it's about preference.
And the fact that Halo was one of the few games that catered to that preference.
But every last Halo game has made significant changes to the formula. Or should we just have gotten nothing but Halo: CE templated games since? Those people would be the vocal minority, the idiots who insist on change for the sake of change. Why fix what obviously isn't broken?

Sorry, but that's just a dumb. If you have to go so far removed from realism to make your point then it's probably because your point is extremely weak.Jup I wish that PD would make GT7 an arcade style racer and hope that Valve makes Half-Life 3 a tree simulator.
