Happy Birthday PS Vita Sale

Anyone have any thoughts on New Little King's Story? I played the original back in the day when it came out for the Wii, but never finished it. I think I would enjoy playing it again on a portable.

This is an amazing sale! Definitely buying Rorona, and Orgarhythm, Sumioni and Valhalla Knights 3 are all in the "why not at that price" category. I'm tempted on Dragon Ball Z and Call of Duty (for the single-player).

Are any of those Atelier games worth starting on? If so which one first?

They're all worth it. Chronologically, Rorona is first, but this one is a remake of the original and has cameos from it's sequels, so I'd recommend starting with Totori.

Kind of glad to hear impressions on the Atelier games. I've been wondering about them for a while, but hearing about the focus on crafting & such, an element I never really cared for, makes it sounds like it isn't for me, especially if there's a time limit. Plus I already have too many digital RPGs in my backlog (most Tales of... games) as it is.

With my budget, I'll just stick with Project Diva f 2nd. Now I just wonder if there'll ever be a sale on the DLC.

I want to say aside from the change on art style towards something the Vita audience would like more I heard the ending was changed for the worst. I could be wrong about the ending thing though.

BUY CEL DAMAGE!

It's some of the craziest fun you'll have. The humor is amazing and the physics are again, crazy and so satisfying.

There are changes from the GC and XB original though, it's based on the EU-only expanded PS2 release. Chief example is that most if not all items no longer 1-hit kill. This is jarring when you use an axe and the others don't automatically slice in half which is really odd.

But it's still a fucking blast. My fav bits are using the green mine and blowing shit to kingdom come and better when you can propel yourself and bounce around the whole arena (physics!), seriously you have to experience it to believe it. Also free flying with the red rocket item and just firing it downward from way up high.

Just searched the whole topic and didn't see anything, so apologies if this has been discussed, but what's the verdict on God Eater Burst? Reviews are crazy mixed.

The time limit is really lenient, You'd have to be wasting a lot of time for you to start worrying about getting a good ending. But yeah, if you don't like item crafting, it's not for you. The game is all about creating the perfect items step by step by gathering materials and gaining crafting experience.

Unless I'm missing something, it seems like they pulled Zero Escape and Muramasa from the list on the PSN blog. Ughhh, torn between buying Zero Escape now at a sale price and hoping it actually does get cheaper tomorrow.

I'm leaning towards Jak Collection now since I've never really played them before. Only the original game and that was a rental.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 also looks pretty nice on Vita from the videos I've watched.

I did the same thing --- played halfway through on wii, had some mostly positive memories. I picked it up a year or two ago on Vita and plat'd it.

It's basically good. You know what you're getting into. When you have a full army there is huge slowdown while you're in your home city, though as soon as you exit it's fine.

My biggest issue with it is that it never really felt challenging. But I guess it was fun? Sort of?

Soooo

Atelier Meruru Plus
Atelier Rorona Plus
Atelier Totori Plus
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F 2nd
Hyperdimension Neptunia ReBirth1
Tales of Hearts R

Any of these games under 20 or even 15 hours to beat? Out of all of them, if you can buy just one, which would it be?

It would be Atelier Totori. The Atelier games are better RPGs Hearts and Re;Birth, and I prefer an item crafting RPG over a rhythm game. Between Totori and Meruru, I found the characters and story better in Totori. Haven't played Rorona.

Oh, and none of them are under 20 hours to beat. Maybe Project Diva F 2nd if you just play the songs 2-3x each.

Bought Zero Escape yesterday. What the fuck?

I'd buy Tales of Hearts R from that list.

Someone noticed on Twitter that Muramasa and VLR are no longer listed on the sale. And I think they were both already plus games so that kills that theory.

Just finished ToH:R. I would recommend it as well.

.

Shit you are kidding right? I bought the PSN card off eBay WITH VLR in my cart ready to go tomorrow. :(

what's the verdict on M:Rebirth?

It's a great sidescrolling hack-and-slash. Great for beginners and the more hardcore. Might be repetitive as you run back and forth through the terrain, but it changes often enough from affecting the experience, and the game is absolutely beautiful anyways.

Anyway to get PS+ temporarily for cheap for this sale?

Edit: Nevermind found the 14-day free trial on the PS Store.

Hopefully it's just a hiccup and will come back. It would suck a lot if it's not on sale after getting people hyped to buy it for the sale price.

aside from terrible translation, is SAO worth the price?

I like the anime, but of course only upto eps 13 or something.

I've played it for a few hours, and I'd say yes. Gameplay is good. The monsters look really cool and unique, especially the bosses. There's tons of content, too.
