What? I mean, I respect your opinion, but this is a joke, right? The english voice acting was awful. Nonsensical and unnecessary name changes, awful accents, and "Golly Mr. Drippy!" every ten minutes. No. Horrible.
No, it isn't a joke. Ni no Kuni's Japanese acting is really awkward. You can really tell they're screen actors who aren't used to doing voice work.
If you can't understand the language, then you wouldn't notice, but for those of us who can, it's incredibly obvious.

I can watch anime and games dubbed into English without any issue, but when it comes to live actors it must be in the native language or it feels totally off. I think there's a big difference between actors and CG or drawn people being dubbed.
