I'm starting to wonder if we really are going to see 399 or 499 vs the X at 599. They haven't announced the Series S yet, but how could there be a "Series" without one?
And if its the same price as ps5 but weaker, it will be very interesting to see how it all plays out.
1 - American is not a race (unless you are a white supremacist yourself, then American means white)because? Because you are anti-american? What a stupid argument. race should not matter
This is not what he meant by race :-/ However to be fair what he meant by "race" is population. There always be a console race. ALWAYS.
Well perception before launch is one thing, what counts will be what each console will deliver and their relative prices. It market perception is that the series X is significantly more powerful and its marketed as such...
Probably 599 incoming from MS, there has to be something that goes wrong - it always does.I'm starting to wonder if we really are going to see 399 or 499 vs the X at 599. They haven't announced the Series S yet, but how could there be a "Series" without one?

I'm not anti-american. LOL.
There always be a console race. ALWAYS.
Trying to change suddenly a story when Xbone was demolished this gen by both Nintendo and Sony? Suddenly console race doesn't matter, right? Those who aren't interested in console race wouldn't said something like you did i these posts.
You need the games to show that power. It market perception is that the series X is significantly more powerful and its marketed as such...
don’t be so sure of yourselves
So? This was something completely different. I never said that because of them being a Japanese company, I own a Switch myself. Your argument was just stupid, only because a company is American... this is actually racist.
the main reason for what I said was the censorship by Sony, the extremely anti-Gamer and anti-Developer behavior of Sony.
Sony is actually holding back the entire industry, and the gamer and developers are paying the price for that.
For example, crossbuy and crossplay. At the beginning Sony didn’t want that - EVERYONE else wanted that - EVEN FREAKING NINTENDO (!!). I would even understand Nintendo saying no, because they have a complete different audience, but even they said YES, whereas Sony is saying no and therefore holding back the entire industry.
This hurts the gamer and the developers and that’s why I said and hope that, so that Sony stops being arrogant Sony and starts to collaborate. This would be better for EVERYONE! Also, for YOU as a Gamer. Yes, you!
I honestly don’t know why you even are against crossplay and crossbuy... or you are even pro censorship. WTF? I don’t get it.
You should use some VALID arguments, like I do, and not some „huehuehue Americans huehuehue“
I honestly don’t know why you even are against crossplay and crossbuy... or you are even pro censorship. WTF? I don’t get it.
They have put out great games on every console that they've released. People know what they're getting with the PS5No surprise. The loyalty within Playstation is too strong to be changed no matter what
Those are things that won't matter to the majority of gamerscould be the worst thing happening to Sony though. Sony will get cocky and won’t change, won’t innovate. I mean just look at all the anti-customer stuff, like censorship, no crossplay, no crossbody/save etc.
IHS Markit analyst Piers Harding-Rolls has told Games Industry that he expects Sony to edge out Microsoft when next-gen consoles launch in 2020.
No Thier goal should be to make as much money as possible, luckily they have things in place that don't solely depend on console sales.
Agreed, for both of them is essential to move over as much of the user base and do it as early as possible so that will play with pricing and user “incentives” such as performance profile, BC, etc...with backwards compatibility becoming a real thing across both consoles, I think it’s important they start pulling in people into their ecosystem early on. It will become more and more unlikely for people to switch brands in the future as the article stated.
I expect them to take a short term loss here for long term gain
Well, of course it's gonna outsell the xbox. Xbox pretty much has almost zero presence anywhere except USA. While Sony has the European market conquered, does very well is USA, Japan is also their turf etc.
Spencer needs Shuhei or more people like him to make things happen, too many 3rd party games don't make it to Xbox.Up next: Analysts say that there's air in the atmosphere.
Seriously though, it's pretty obvious that PS5 will be the topseller and it will keep dominating the market until Microsoft can pull great 5-10 exclusives.
It's important to have a simple message, that this is the console and you need to buy to play all these games. By muddying the message and saying... You can buy our console and play these games or play them on PC or these other places, you give an excuse to people not to buy. What's utterly hilarious is how outdated most of the comments in this thread are. Lol
If we were talking about 2012, maybe they would be relevant. But clearly it isn't going to be all about consoles sold next gen. Thats just one piece of a much bigger puzzle now. Services and streaming will expand gaming into a much, much bigger piece of gaming real estate. And before anyone starts touting about it being "all about the exclusives" Xbox will have plenty heavy hitters of their own.
Its a new world boys and girls. Y'all should move to the front of bus instead of staying in the back. Starting to sound like you exist in a vacuum.
Oh, wait...
360 begs to differShocked.
Sony consoles always sold more than MS consoles at launch
? PS3 sold way more than 360 at launch... it is not even close lol360 begs to differ
Consoles are still the biggest piece of that puzzle and they will be for a very long timeWhat's utterly hilarious is how outdated most of the comments in this thread are. Lol

This gen, maybe. Next gen, no. No they won't be. Xbox is bigger than just a static box under your TV. They have a plethora of avenues to dominate next gen.Consoles are still the biggest piece of that puzzle and they will be for a very long time

Reaching 2 billion gamers through game streaming is that what you're talking about?? Because I see flaws in that strategy lolThis

You can keep pushing that ancient narrative though. Jeez! You guys call yourselves enthusiasts.... Lol
Because running trillion dollar corporations is what you do for a living, right?........ RIGHT???Reaching 2 billion gamers through game streaming is that what you're talking about?? Because I see flaws in that strategy lol
This thread isn't about who is going to win next gen or how they're going to do it, it's about number of consoles sold at launch, and it would be absolutely stupid to assume that Microsoft can pull ahead here. What's utterly hilarious is how outdated most of the comments in this thread are. Lol
It's perfectly possible for people in charge of huge multinational corporations to come up with plans and strategies that are unbelievably stupid. Remember, the people in charge at MS back in 2012 thought the original Xbox One concept was a great idea.Because running trillion dollar corporations is what you do for a living, right?........ RIGHT???

Lol I'm just saying, I don't think there's many cell phone gamers out there who would rather play AAA games on their phones. PlayStation also has the mindshare worldwideBecause running trillion dollar corporations is what you do for a living, right?........ RIGHT???
Who gives a shit about what you think about their strategy. Lol. No offense
You just don't make a comment like yours half cocked. Game streaming is an option but it does broaden the landscape immensely. And it will be a huge benefactor when it comes down to "winners and loosers" next gen.Lol I'm just saying, I don't think there's many cell phone gamers out there who would rather play AAA games on their phones. Please do I'd like to see it.? PS3 sold way more than 360 at launch... it is not even close lol
360 launch shipment (1st quarter): 1.5m
PS3 launch shipment (1st quarter): 1.84m
360 2nd quarter shipment: 1.7m
PS3 2nd quarter shipment: 1.93m
I can list the next quarters if you wish.
If it's the same price as the PS5 AND weaker it's DOA
And those 20+ teams won't sell consoles in Japan, France, Spain, now Germany, areas that Microsoft has zero foothold in no matter how good the games are because PlayStation is so ingrained in the consumers of those countries. The best they can hope for is swinging the UK back in their favour as well as Canada, Australia and NZ but that still doesn't make up for the rest. You can't make such a call. You don't know what Microsoft all has for next gen. This isn't Xbox 2013. This is an entirely different division than we've ever known. There won't be the same mistakes made last gen. There's 20+ teams and 15 studios working on new IP. GP is a monster, Series X is already the most powerful console and a shit load of other factors I guess you're just deciding to ignore. Point being....
.. You don't know what's gonna happen next gen.
*Morgan Freeman good luck gif*You just don't make a comment like yours half cocked. Game streaming is an option but it does broaden the landscape immensely. And it will be a huge benefactor when it comes down to "winners and loosers" next gen.
Yeah, and neither do you. What makes you so sure MS will suddenly pull ahead when they have never done so in the past? They even ended up losing out against PS3 in the end, an absolute disaster of a console in terms of design, hardware and pricing. You don't know what's gonna happen next gen.

I didn't say they would, super genius. I'm saying next gen won't be a repeat of this one with Sony dominating the show. That much is certain.Yeah, and neither do you.
