If NoA won't publish it who will?
Itakagi's will will.

They were wrong then, it remains to be seen if they're wrong nowThat's why we didn't get disaster day of crisis, isn't it? I remember Reggie said they thought it wasn't a good game.

Disaster Day of Crisis was announced at E3 too and that never came out here.So Nintendo ditched one of its titles that it featured last year at E3? Why would they do that? Does anyone know anything about this situation?
He's going mobile next though. So why bother funding the game if they weren't planning on releasing it in the region that would sell the most copies? It would be nice if Itagaki had control over the IP (highly doubt it) so he could build on it in the future. Its not perfect but its ambitious and I'd hate to see it die here.
I remember him complaining that he was misquoted in that article. I'll try to find it in a sec. He's going mobile next though.
Actually, their holiday line up is pretty solid and I doubt this game will do anything for them, so I guess they can skip it if they don't see it selling well nor being received well. The Wii U is not in a position for NOA to consider the prospect of any releases. It should launch whatever it gets. If investment is a concern at list do it diggitally or throught the online store.

We also don't have an official statement on the matter, nor does Itagaki's quote confirm that NoA is not publishing
Its true that Fatal Frame V is going to be a digital only release?
im worried half late Wii U titles will be digital only :/
Yeah, I agree. Should be July. The problem is that other than Splatoon they have delayed basically everything to come out in the holiday this year. Holiday may be good but it's at the cost of the rest of the entire year. Holding back Yoshi in the US is straight stupid IMO, there's nothing right now and they're still keeping it from us.
NOA has been pretty active in messing with the dedicated consumer base recently:
1) Normal size New 3DS not released.
2)Yoshi for October.
3)The Fatal Frame localization. Too tight lipped in regards to the progress and they chose to put Yoshi for October when this made more sense.
4) Devil's Third situation. When the game is already announced for Japan and Europe.

i wasn't talking about their hollyday line up and i believed that Nintendo could' ve potentially had a game each month from July on. As things are now, NOA is the one looking worse with nothing much to play on the Wii U (eShop aside) until september.Actually, their holiday line up is pretty solid and I doubt this game will do anything for them, so I guess they can skip it if they don't see it selling well nor being received well.

HIS WILL! Hear that, Nintendo?
South America too!
Edit: This genius is a genius:
Itagaki's will can't stand up to the might of NoA, unfortunately. All this confirms to me is that NoA really has dropped the game.
This is actually a rare situation in which the developer owns the IP for a Nintendo-funded game. It's not to say that he could just take it to any publisher with impunity, but he's got a bit more freedom to make big decisions if necessary, as the case seems to be here.
I'm sure he's got Nintendo's blessing in any case.
What the duck happened with this title? Why is NoA ignoring a finished game on its game-deprived system?
Maybe they played it? I'd love to be wrong, but it really does look bad. Not trying to shit post, but I'm seriously wondering if that's a possible reason.

If he owns the IP he could probably self publish on the shop at the very least.
Just posted on Facebook.
The only reason the game looks like shit is because it has been hard to find a publisher.
My biggest issue just as it was before is that both Nintendo Japan and Europe have no qualms with numerous releases. While NoA has pulled this sort of stuff numerous times.
