Sadly there is no Toys R Us here. $15 isn't all that much, but it'd be $15 toward the DLC in March.
Just go online and they will ship it to you for free once you pre-order.

Sadly missed out on the signature edition but I was able tosnag a collectors edition today, just get the guys to sign it at comiccon this year. With that and the guide coming now its just the wait that's sucks.
I do think I may switch my build plan to might/fineese though as I'm really diggin the greatsword bow combo and the arrow storm and multishot skills look awesome. I did not like bows at first but the more I use it the more I like it. Compliments the GS well imo. Plus the fineese skills are pretty awesome. Saw a vid of the gambit skill and it looks really useful against groups and doubles as pretty boggart exploding fireworks.
Gambit is the primary reason I want to play a stealth class first.
In terms of best classes in the game.
Warlord and the Jack of All trades class look to be the two most broken.

Turning off post processing should fix it for you
Turn off post processing in the settings, you should be fine.

I have followed this game for a few months now. Was planning on getting it just for me but after playing the demo I decided that I can't hog all of this goodness to myself. I loved the demo so much that I reserved a copy on the 360 for my girlfriend, a copy on the PC for me and a copy for my friend on the PS3. I think I may gift it off of Steam for another friend of mine. I just have to wait until I have more money. Blowing a good chunk of my gaming budget on this game alone. I just wish there was more on youtube showing the game off. It seems I have seen everything though. Hype is starting to get a bit higher than I like it to get.
I always start RPG's with Paladin type characters. Even though there is no Paladin character in the game (Guardian will have to suffice), I still plan on going with a Might/Sorcery build. The problem is, should I go more might or more Sorcery?
Played the 360 and PS3 versions again tonight (on different inputs). 360 version definitely appears to be running at a significantly lower resolution. I hope we get some early reviews that point out the differences before I finally pick a copy to pre-order from Amazon. Right now I'm leaning towards PS3 simpyl because it looks much nicer.
As for class I'll begin with, it's in my avatar pic - Arcanist.
Last week I started the demo and got to that Hueghes guy before I had to quit because I had to go. Was pleasantly surprised at that point and it pretty much sold the game to me, out of nowhere.
Yesterday I "completed" the demo, but I'm afraid it isn't really for me after all. Doesn't appeal that much to me once you get into the "open world", and the story and quests were pretty dull. I think I'll wait for some GOTY version if I'm ever gonna buy this. (Though I said the same thing about Skyrim.)which I decided I'm not buying ever
I thought the faux fae quest with the unique hood item was fun.You get one main story quest in the demo and you can't even complete it. 99 percent of what you're seeing are side quests.
Penny Arcade said:Its perfectly fine with me; that means we can talk about Kingdoms of Amalur, which I had more or less decided wasnt in the schedule.
Thats worth unpacking, actually: If I determined it wasnt in my schedule, and my time is in some ways much more plastic, how many others were under the mistaken impression that they could avoid this game without consequence? This is what a demo does, publishers, if you were wondering: sell games to people. Offering a demo creates the first stage of rapport. In effect, it elicits response.
Electronic Arts has done things keyed off of purchase before: they got their Dead Space in my Dragon Age, to coin a phrase. But tying material benefits for Kingdoms and Mass Effect stuff directly to the demo, which has no cost other than the time you spend with it, and the net widens. Theres even a demo for the PC - the PC, friends! - for whistle-wetting purposes. Its also a demo that sets you loose after its initial tutorial payload. You dont have access to everything, but you have forty-five minutes to explore, which is interesting. Im waiting for the retail game that absorbs my progression from the demo, but I am sometimes called an optimist.
Kingdoms of Amalur is fairly audacious, in that it tries to find a midpoint between Blizzard lush and Skyrim breadth, with combat that is immediate and kinetic and substantially less SCA. Its a smart-ass, upstart maneuver that should have resulted in room temperature dogshit, and it didnt. Check it out.
On a more general note, does anyone know if there's a full list of things they'll have changed/improved from the demo to final product?Has the UI (menu, font, etc) in the full game improved from the demo?
From the EA live chat the other day, they were playing the game and the UI looked the same. Other than that, I believe the only things different between demo and release, are all of the bugs in the demo are gone.
Is the PS3 version the one to get? I usually get everything I can on 360, but the comment about lower resolution has me wary.
I was reading something about there being some freebies for Mass Effect 3 when you play the demo to completion. Do I have to be online to do this? Also, what is the freebie?
Yes, you have to be online. The freebies are a medieval fantasy styled armor set and a chakram gun unlock (which is sort of like a bladed disc launcher).I was reading something about there being some freebies for Mass Effect 3 when you play the demo to completion. I tried running the demo the other day on Steam, and when it loaded the entire screen was black other than the minimap...Any ideas as to what the issue is here?
Guess I should probably check Steam forums, wanted to see if anyone had issues here first.
Penny Arcade posted about this yesterday:

I really love how much steam this game has picked up over the past week or so.
How long is the demo? (I wish these questions were answered in the OP.)
In other words: To everyone whining about getting free stuff from merely playing a demo of two hotly anticipated games, shut up.

So, PC gamers, how did you think the demo controls better? Did you prefer a xbox 360 wired gamepad or mouse + keyboard?

Tried the demo on the pc at my brother's place, but was unable to find the mouse so I couldn't even start my game after I created my character. Probably that black screen issue everyone's having.
Anyway, have not played this game yet, and since I am secretly anticipating diablo 3, which for me is emotionally ambiguous as it can get (addicted to diablo 2 10 years ago, but still mighty curious... you know how that goes. It's actually a good thing that I won't be able to play it on my shitty mactop) this game seems to be able to give me the diablo fix without being diablo. I hope reckoning receives straight 9's and will give me the fun without the addiction (no online helps at that). Anyone else feels like this?
