about licenses in pes6
- ea have exclusive deal on the premiership and bundesliga till 2009
- chelsea no longer licensed (this really irritates me, i will probably boycott this pos because of that). only arsenal, manchester and bayern munich will be licensed from those two leagues

and now to the grand finale

- bayern will be the only team from the german league. so no bremen or hamburg or any other german team to play with.

After playing that Fifa demo id go with PES if Bayern were the only team in the whole game.

i wonder, JUST WONDER, if some teams will be showing up as micro transactionable later???

just a wild stab in the dark, which is incidentally what Konami will be getting if they pull this shit....

reminder : WE online in Japan - pay for the team you want to use, in some cases this was $9 (to use an italian team or the japanese national team - and thats $9 for EACH)

If the edit function is still in the PS2 version then things are ok. Won't be long before one of the Pesfan/soccergaming crew has an option file out.

You can edit players... just can't transfer them or edit kits ( 360 version)


And Im not a fanboy.. I have been defending the 360 version of pes6 for months just check my post history.

i'm not the one saying it personally. there's preview at level7.nu, which the writer has interviewed some dude at konami nordic and this is where all the info is coming.

i also found this strange, they had chelsea in pes5 and on all the pes6 shots they've had chelsea but now they somehow managed to **** it up. if someone who have a review copy or something could clear this mess up that would be very appreciated.

They can only have two epl licenses ( per ea's fifa agreement) and they wisely chose Man U over Chelsea... It's not a F*ck up as you put it.

Sorry, I wasnt talking about you, that evo-web forum is a prime candidate, all i hear is shit about the controls, how theres 'no improvements' and tonnes and tonnes of just made up bullshit about the lacking features.

I think they've taken out the option of a third random league on the xbox 360 version, which was obviously the Bundesliga before they lost the licence, but they kept it on the PS2 version as alledgedly there was a bug if they were to remove the league totally. So there is space on the PS2 version to make your own Bundesliga but you'll have to remove some of the other teams if you want to make a Bundesliga in the 360 version.

Yup the whole league is gone ... not just unlicensed.

No Bundesliga is pretty shocking for me. Most people only play with the top clubs (none of which are german) but I always like to play with the underdogs and beat Real Madrid or FC Barcelona with them.

If Konami can't get the Bundesliga back next year I'll simply buy some FIFA game, they are way ahead of PES in terms of presentation, licenses, modes and options anyways.

The only reason to play PES is the near perfect gameplay, FIFA is better at everything else.

So this is the defenitive reason to NOT purchase a 360...At least for me, I'll continue playing WE10:OE (Ourumov Edition) till they decide to make a worthly sequel.

From a recent (german) interview with Seabass:

We had to focus on the essential parts [of EDIT mode] because of time constraints. The EDIT mode in the PS2 version is really complex because you are able to change even subtle details. So, because we have developed a new graphics engine for PES 6 on X360 we would have to spend at least half a year or even a full year to include the full EDIT mode. But I promise that the next PES on X360 will include the full EDIT options.

And they try to get the Bundesliga back for the next game.

Lol..what new graphics engine..the game looks like crap ( Like all PES games do ). Not that I really care about graphics, but how come they are talking like it's f'ing EA or something :\.

Still gonna buy it though :D

Well I've played Fifa2007 360 again last night for a couple of games..and damn it I like it! I'd love to buy it but that's a butchered version too in comparison with the Ps2 version :\

Is it for sure that its only the 360 where you cant make transfers or edit players? If thats the case then Im not bothered because Im buying the PS2 version, but It would be very annoying if you couldnt make transfers or edit players in all the versions.

The screenshots look awful. the one where ronaldinho is taking the freekick looks like its been cel-shaded.

Shit, soccer games for 360 owners is ass this year. Just got news that there are NO skill moves for the 360 version of FIFA 07.....

Why are devs taking key features out of a game when we're in the generation of gaming that has the capabilities of so much more?

I can't believe how both companies seem to have butchered their next gen versions , it makes no sense.

Are there any valid reasons given?

Lol, not a good one.

Im seriously thinking about taking a couple of years off of buying "next-gen" sports titles. Hopefully they'll be caught to PS2's feature list.:lol

This is probably the worst transition to nextgen I've seen for any sport on any console.

Features, leagues, and gameplay functions being cut out of these games. Konami at least has the excuse of this being their first effort, but it's still poor poor form (heh).

Simply ridiculous.
