Waiting finally for the mods with revealing clothes and improved models!
I'm having a hard time understanding why anyone would think Sony games going to PC is a bad thing. Just like I never understood everyone piling on about MS putting Xbox games on PC. How could this possibly be bad? If you want to play on console, buy the game on your console of choice. For those who want to play on PC, buy it on PC.
I don't understand thecultteam mentality that a lot of console gamers have. More places to play is great. You should find something else that gives you a sense of meaning rather than fanboying for the console of your choice. Even if they begin to drop on PC right at release, why would this be bad? You still get to play it on your console, while others play it on PC. I guess some people just have a need to feel like they belong to something (meaningless). Play GAMES, not devices.
I'm all for this move personally.
Yup.It removes a battlefield for console warriors. No more exclusives to gloat about kills a lot of their agenda. Of course at the end of the day the games being console and PC is nothing but good for the consumer.
So hold on, I have just been skimming some of these threads...….Are you telling me that none of this has been confirmed? I'm not saying it won't happen, but people are pretending this is confirmed just as they were doing with 12TF vs 9TF...….I mean when it's confirmed fine, but till then, stop pretending it's a fact.....
Its true...
All of this are still hypotetical rumours...
But people are already jump on conclusion...
Id say we should wait for official confirmation...
Hermen is getting butchered, the fallout from this shit.....
Check the resposes
Dude, you got to give us another secret nugget of news. PM me. I swear I wont tell anyone! lolSony would have killed the rumor by now. And with the info that us insiders know, it's only a matter of time before it's official.
Well I feel the same, I am seriously considering just cancelling my pre-order / deposit.I just clicked through and read some of the comments. There is seriously something wrong with some of those people.
I skimmed the first 20 or so. That was enough. lolI just clicked through and read some of the comments. There is seriously something wrong with some of those people.

I don't want crossplay, I don't want cross save, I want exclusives to stay exclusive and I want PlayStation to be super aggressive and buy more studios / publishers. Can you explain why? I really want to try to understand.
Apple did the same thing.I don't want crossplay, I don't want cross save, I want exclusives to stay exclusive and I want PlayStation to be super aggressive and buy more studios / publishers.
More like Nintendo than Microsoft.... I buy Nintendo and Sony and I want them to stand by what their hardcore fans expect form them.
There is absolutely no benefit to them publishing a game on other platforms, it muddies the waters and undermines a platform that has been built over 25 years.

iOS is exclusive to iPhone, Mac OS is exclusive to Mac.Apple did the same thing.
From maker of computers before 2000 for a niche crowd, to super popular mainstream maker of media gadgets and phones starting in the 2000s for anyone.
The company is more successful, makes better products, and more people enjoy Apple products than ever before.
Why should an Apple hippy from 1986 care?
And according to hardcore Apple fans, Apple were traitors..... going Intel, allowing Windows to run, going totally mainstream. The whole rebel image and anti-Big Blue got thrown out 20 years ago when they decided the best thing to do is go mainstream if they want sales.iOS is exclusive to iPhone, Mac OS is exclusive to Mac.
All of Apples success is based on the iconic industrial design of Jonny Ives, I feel it's totally different.

It won't, it will be a huge loss. They have an enviable position as a place where you can play all the big games as well as a lot of excellent / award winning exclusives.Well, as a lifelong Apple user (not exclusively, but ever since the Apple II I have had Apple computers), I remember a similar outcry by Apple fans when they announced they were going X86 - people we upset, while I was ecstatic. I previously had to have both a Mac and a Windows PC to do the things I did professionally - there were some applications that were only available on Windows. Once Bootcamp came out, that was it - now I only have Windows PCs for gaming. The first things I do when I get a new Mac is to install Windows on Bootcamp and then also use that Bootcamp installation as a VM in Parallels. Now I can run the few Windows apps I need to alongside my Mac apps. More choice is always a great thing.
I don't see Sony stopping selling consoles for a long time - those who want to play on console will, and those who want to play on PC will. In the end, Sony can reach more people. It will actually be a big win for them I think. I knew this would come as soon as the consoles went to X86 architecture. It just makes sense. I mean, most console only players will not likely switch to PC - just one of my graphics cards cost more than a console. So there will still be a market for both. I used to have gaming PCs AND bought all the consoles - now I won't. But I will still buy the games, and the money isn't made in selling consoles - it's the software sales that matters.

You would be wrong. "Limited Editions" and "Originals" are popular for a reason (well, there can be multiple reasons of course, but one of them is. "I am the only one/one of the rare few who has this, aren't I great"?)I don't think even rich snobs with high end cars, jewelry and Gucci gear care if they see other people have it
Fair enough.... for things which are one of a kind, or there's a limited print of 100 copies. You would be wrong. 90 million to 40 million and loss of exclusives was one of the 3 reasons why MS are not coming back. Obsidian, playground, initiative and inexile could all hit home runs and it not matter people just pirate or buy it from gabe at rock bottom prices from Russia or whatever scam there is this week on PC. Console gamers lost 1 platform, 1 is probably on the verge of death. So if some are protective of the last healthy platform out there oh well. So to say it is meaningless is disingenuous when it can help decay a platform we seen it happen to MS and the decay of the xbox.I'm having a hard time understanding why anyone would think Sony games going to PC is a bad thing. Xbox has also been growing steadily ever since Spencer took over. Their revenue has been increasing each year. Gamepass and bringing games to PC actually made them grow.Xbox was suffering long before bringing Xbox games to PC though. The problem was the butchered launch and lack of compelling games this generation (except for a few). Gamepass and bringing games to PC have nothing to do with where they are right now.

I can also see Sony doing this because the console market as a whole isn't growing. Attach rate is lower than it was back when PS2 was a thing. It's not as bad as PS3 did, though. I can see investors pushing for this, especially now that Microsoft has proven that it can be successful.
And they'd make more money when they sell their exclusives on other platforms, especially when they make something similar to Gamepass further down the line.you do understand that sony makes money from third party sales, and not their own games right?
Just wait and play the game on pc at 60 frames.I still have yet to play the PS4 version in my backlog, but may double dip for PC depending on features.

HzD could be a test run for all we know.
If this was fake, sony would speak about it immediately. Its true...

Yes, of course it's peanuts, but more money is still more money. The money they can make from first party sales on pc is peanuts compared to the money they make on third party sales playstation, thanks to their 100+ install base. Imagine that they take a 30% cut on every cod, gta, rdr, fifa, madden sold on playstation.
This will never be the case on pc. Sony can never take a 30% cut on pc. Third parties have their own stores, launchers.
leaking exclusives to pc can only damage the adoption of ps5. Which inturn will hurt playstation in the long run.
AAA games gets too expensive, I guess a sort of timed exclusive is the only way for developers to continue make money. If it helps to save a studio from shutting down, it should not be a big deal. Its not like the game is releasing on a competing console (Switch, Xbox) anyway.
This is a good question and I'd love to see Microsofts numbers here... but the only number we have is their annual FY report and their revenue is going up by 10-15% each year for the past 3 years. So whatever they're doing is working, otherwise they wouldn't keep on growing... so it obviously works.Does it really work for ms? Especially if you compare to What Playstation has achived this gen?
I think Xbox is pretty much Done.

Wow. I didn't realize it was this bad...

People forget, this is not the first time Sony exclusives came to PC. If I recall Twisted Metal 2 and Jet Moto came to PC years ago, and no one batted an eye then. I didn't see anything changed in the so called ecosystem, people who wants to game Sony consoles still do so. How quickly people forget.
Sony fanboys melting downI'm not sure what's bad?
Sony fanboys melting down
pc back then was a completely different market. They had different audiences. Just getting a controller to work was hell.
Today, pc is playstations main competitor. They offer roughly the same thing.
Competitor lol, that's how kids see it, not the execs of all those billion dollar companies. For exaple, Sony could limit selling their TVs exclusively to their officially Sony Centers, but instead they offer them in all those Media Markts, Saturns, Amazon etc. because they can reach much, MUCH broader audience doing so, generating much more revenue in the process, the stores are just a platform for selling their hardware, and exact same rule applies to videogames - PC, consoles, laptops, tablets, handhelds, smartphone, all are just potential platforms for selling the software.
I’m not sure what your point is hereYou don't say.
I supppse meltdown over tvtvtv was also from "funboys" last time. Look how that helped MSFT!!!
I'm not sure I'm interested in a personality discussion though.
