Shinobi lied.

He said "Whoops". That could mean a lot of things. He doesn't know everything. Maybe if it is true it is a big whoops. If it's not true it still is a whoops. He can have opinions on things like everybody else. Not every comment needs to be taken as gospel.

Let the man breath! :P

Sony need to stop being so fucking coy.

Games left right and centre being delayed. MP3 support - soon. DNLA - maybe soon. Everything else - be patient.

Gameplay wise:

-Stealth: Nothing's ever really beaten Thief II.

-Shooting: A whole list of more dedicated over-the-shoulder shooters. I'm not saying technically, as The Last of Us' combat is functional. It is always, however, a chore to get through. Other games are just more fun in that particular aspect.

-Advancement: Repeated plank and pallet sections. Interesting the first time around, tired of it by the end.

Story:

-The general setting: There's absolutely nothing to distinguish it from other zombie/infection/mutant llama stories that we've all seen in a hundred other games or movies.

-Emotion: I'm of the opinion that The Walking Dead did the emotional attachment side of things a lot better. When you make that choice at the end of the first season, it was gut-wrenching. The final playable bit of The Last of Us just had me going "...Really?"

TLOU Spoiler:
The game never delivered on the promise of the opening sequence. I was excited for the game, that introductory sequence of events happens, it all seems amazing. Then the rest of the game happens.

I do not count The Last of Us as a bad game, don't get me wrong. It is however, not one that came close to being my GOTY by any means.
Wow

First time I've ever read or herd a Human say that. I'm happy that you are happy though, if you love what you do, it's not work.

I used to work at Gamestation (which had pretty much turned into Game with different price-labels by the end) and it's still the best job I ever had. Sure, there were days with crappy customers but overall, with a good team the days can go by pretty quickly as you're having a laugh.

It's a port, but it's also absolutely one of the best games Sony's ever made, and it's a great thing for the 360 audience they've picked up with PS4. I think it's actually still something of a big deal, despite just being a port.

clearly no one is excited about it

Not sure what you're trying to say here. I'm not trying to ddisparage TLoU, I'm just saying if they're treating an up-port that we've known about for months like this, then I'm worried about what they have planned (or rather, don't have planned) for the rest of 2014.

Treating it like what? You mean not randomly announcing the release date over twitter because Game said something they shouldn't? That's not how marketing plans work.

Let's assume hypothetically that Sony really is going to release TLOU for PS4 during E3 week. What is the probability that they could keep every single retailer quiet on this? I would argue that they would have to keep even the retailers in the dark on this one.

they aren't treating the game itself as a surprise but the release date. if they out of nowhere announced that it was available that week, that would be a pretty cool surprise.

- 1080p60 [targeted]
- all FMV cinematics re-rendered to be 1080p60
- better textures, lightning, particles, LODs
- all high-end assets they created for cinematic [including charachter models], random production stages, everything will be crammed into the game

It will look and feel way better than PS3 version [which often knew to drop below 30 in larger fights].

Sadly yes. Even though if the news is not accurate, it will probably create wave of news articles around the web.

in game commentary to that list, unless that changed recently

I suppose so.

Basically I'm worried that the last half of this year is gonna be dry for PS4. I feel like this because of the lackluster response to Judge's Week, combined with the fact that they're treating TLoU Remastered like it's a huge huge deal. It's a port. Of a really really good game, but not what I want for my new PS4.

I should really blackout on NeoGAF if I don't want all these spoilers. Seems like Shinobi went into training for 2 months and came back a first class insider. How exciting.

LOL!!!! Dude is a beast all of a sudden.

There's going to be a steady flow of stuff in the fall, but it's relatively limited genre-wise: destiny, dragon age, shadow of mordor, evolve, Driveclub, the crew, CoD,FC4, AC:U, possibly Battlefield:COPS, and a few sports games and such i'm forgetting

Well as you can clearly see, they didn't keep everybody in the dark! :p
