What other game besides a port could you release same day like this? The hype was built up for years.
I think you're still missing my point.

There's plenty of gore.

Oh dear, this post ought to go over well.
That was never in the final game. At least not in mine as far as I can remember
I suppose so.
Basically I'm worried that the last half of this year is gonna be dry for PS4. I feel like this because of the lackluster response to Judge's Week, combined with the fact that they're treating TLoU Remastered like it's a huge huge deal. It's a port. Of a really really good game, but not what I want for my new PS4.
I think you're still missing my point.
I guess what I'm saying is that a surprise early TLoU release doesn't speak to the rest of Sony's 2014 lineup. If they had 100 games or 2 games this TLoU release would happen no matter what
Pack it up guys. Nothing to see here.
Such gore was never in the final game. At least not in mine as far as I can remember

Come on, guys... It's obvious.

Gore is only censored in MP, not SP (EU version)
"The release date is not June 13," said a Sony representative to GameSpot.
"As we’ve announced, The Last of Us Remastered for PS4 will release this summer," adds Sony. "We will keep you posted on an official release date."
I can't believe some of you guys are using 'gore' as a selling point for this game.
Sorry, Bruce ...
Only me I think![]()
It certainly is a selling point considering it's an integral part of the atmosphere and tension. The player controlled violence is one part of the equation. The other is seeing similar gore played out upon yourself via the short, yet brutal, death animations when Joel dies. Add to that the juxtaposition of beautiful environments and serine non-violent sequences... the game does an excellent job of portraying both war and peace. Life and death.I can't believe some of you guys are using 'gore' as a selling point for this game.

Hey, go buy my game, The First of Us. The enemies are super violent zombies that blow bubbles and attack you with bouquets of flowers. When your character dies he turns into a thousand beautiful Monarch butterflies that migrate to South America in the cool evening breeze. It is such an epic & intense experience. You will have trouble sleeping.Selling a game on gore and explaining why it's necessary are two entirely different things.
