When your character dies he turns into a thousand beautiful Monarch butterflies that migrate to South America in the cool evening breeze. It is such an epic & intense experience. Yeah, it has a couple of different types of collectables, well three actually, as well as things you need to scavenge to stay alive. Just take your time and absorb the atmosphere and pacing at the beginning of the game. Don't be in a rush or 'expect' anything, just go with the flow. Search every nook and cranny for those collectables and examine the environments for clues to the lives of people who lived there. If you do this then the journey will blow your mind < and I mean that. You will 'feel' so many things in this game.

BUT NOT IF YOU JUST WANT GORE!

It certainly is a selling point considering it's an integral part of the atmosphere and tension. The player controlled violence is one part of the equation. The other is seeing similar gore played out upon yourself via the short, yet brutal, death animations when Joel dies. Add to that the juxtaposition of beautiful environments and serine non-violent sequences... the game does an excellent job of portraying both war and peace. Life and death.

Pick up Infamous, Wolfenstein, Resogun, and Killzone if you find it for under $30 (not sure what that is in British currency sorry), and make sure to get a PS Plus membership.

EDIT: And ya like those below said, if it is out next week, TLOU remastered, ESPECIALLY if you never played TLOU.
