Got to remember that these store twitter accounts are just some person local to each store posting them up and not the company line.

Given that Game here tend to be significantly more expensive in store than on their web site and other online retailers, they're going to try to get people into the stores quicker to get the presales by generating local hype. I don't trust a word that comes out of most of the staff in my local store because they are more focused on sales and tend to have little understanding of what it is they're actually selling.

Example being that I was asked if I wanted to purchase the Season Pass with my boxed copy of Trials Fusion. They were genuinely surprised when I told them it came with the deluxe retail copies and then they said they'd been selling them to people all day.

I'll hold off until I hear the official confirmation which will hopefully be at E3.

They will rarely post random stuff though. Mostly they will be taking dates and information on promotions from had office and simply tweeting it locally. The fact that three separate stores tweeted this, plus the photo of printed POS material would strongly suggest that this information has come from GAME HQ

Games come out either on Friday (EU/PAL release) or Tuesday (WW & NA release), so I highly doubt that it'll come out on the 12th.

Shocking I know. I'm sure that all of the other remasters that will inevitably come out in the coming years will be free or discounted cause reasons right? It's full price because people will pay it. Good news is that you can wait for the bargain bin and or trade ins.

hardly remastered, its just the original assets before they had to butcher them to run on ps3 (its a stunning game but its clearly too much for the ps3)

Remastered: Refers to quality enhancement of sound and/or picture to a previously existing recording.

The industry has given people the perception that a game should devalue over time. Of course, this doesn't apply to everyone (Nintendo), but it's not entirely out of line for acm2000 to think TLoU should be significantly less money.

Yes but it will be locked until you've completed the main game.

Its happened before at E3, i can't rememeber which games as i have mind block but its happened and people on here knew nothing about it, we had no pictures of game boxes etc.
Also it could of been the DD version first. They also wouldn't need to deliver games to retailers until a couple of days before release, i know someone who used to work at the games section of HMV and many times they got new games delivered the day before release date.

Yeah but the stores need time to make shelf space and things like that. Just from my experience working retail back in the day. I want more than anything for this to come out next week but I doubt we get it until August..

True. I worked at Best Buy when the 360 and ps3 came out. After the i initial shipment noone knew when they were coming. Only the store manager did. Noone else, and I was pretty high up there. So who knows.
