Yes, afaik, nothing leaked from Boardwalk Empire. It was just a trail of breadcrumbs that Winter left and people picked up on it. It wasn't anything nefarious at all.

I don't have time this week to marathon the series, and I'm wondering if anyone has put together their own list of the important episodes from each season that would be good to refresh my memory and revisit the show?

It's more of a best-of, but my wife and I have been rewatching highlights and came up with this list:

The Wheel (S1)
Shut the Door, Have a Seat (S3)
The Suitcase (S4)
The Summer Man (S4)
The Beautiful Girls (S4)
The Other Woman (S5)
For Immediate Release (S6)
The Strategy (S7.1)

That's more a character retrospective than a plot one, but I contend it's a great way to warm up for the new season.

If I had time, I'd probably rewatch all of S7.1 over again, too.
