Tae-Soo sets up all those "join Ken" moments. It is pretty obvious and he has built Ken up to a god-type image. And because Ken acts like he is a force of justice at times, despite it often being complete BS, they follow him. It's like almost all of them are part of a movie that Tae-Soo is directing. Ken is the naive star.
He had plenty of conviction with pick-axe getting fucked up. But then he was losing confidence when he was getting his ass kicked. Ken often waffles back and forth where some sort of catalyst is needed. It is very shounen but I find it better then him being 100% confidence dude 24/7. He loses confidence when he fights really strong people. No issues here with that.
Eh, SKR is built on 7v300 ridiculousness. Can't really dock points for that.
I also made a mistake, it isn't the next arc that is awful. It is the one after. Complete ass.

Why would he get a cover? He did not even a gram of a thing of note. That being said I need to get back getting the manga, I want to have the entire arrancar saga collected and on another note all of shippuden chapters. physical.
I'm just a bit annoyed, as Kubo said he was to have a large role in the FB arc.
Chad and large role should never be in the same sentence.

Sun Ken Rock Casino arc
Finished it and it wasn't bad.
It basically shows who is pulling the strings and why Soo made Ken the leader (dat "hot blooded Shounen passion"
. ).
Normally the other chapters/fights will show Ken's shounen like attributes but this arc basically cranked it up to 11 with the Game of Death Style fights (and kinda brought the arc down a bit imo) but I liked how the fighters (except the fodder of course) were not just "around" and they all had their strong reasoning for being there/defending and also challenging Ken if he's got what it takes.
The end was alright as i expected
Also i heard the guy drawing this was inspired by Trigun for Ken's look and it was very evident in that chapter when Ken
Next arc looks interesting since they are basically going to the "Motherland"
Unless "not being relevant" is added to that.
As said before i hope Kubo gives him some limelight again

Boichi has a pretty good sense of anatomy for a mangaka. Then again, his stuff is mostly seinen and he doesn't have to draw like an asshole. I wonder how much better the great seinen manga like Ghost in the Shell and Sanctuary would be if they didn't ever use super deformed characters. Then again, Masamune would probably commit suicide if he drew every page of Ghost in the Shell like his spreads. And I guess Sanctuary is technically a political cartoon.

Mardock Scramble vol 5
This casino part is pretty cool. In a whole volume the group only played 3-4 different games (some Slot Machines, Poker, Roulette and Black Jack) but the whole back and forth during the games was the cool part, especially during the Roulette. It was also more relaxing compared to the previous volumes, though given the last scene, some hard action is gonig to go down next, plus the Black Jack game needs to end.
Luck Stealer vol 1
Bought this because the preview of the first chapter I had read seemed intriguing. After reading the whole first volume I felt a bit disappointed (especially after finding out the girl in the first chapter isn't part of the main cast but was just a one time thing). The idea of an assassin killing people by stealing their luck with the touch of his hand isn't bad, but the atmosphere in the manga feels a bit... cheap/fake. I'm still gonna keep following though.

Horikou Hanemono Ranger vol 1
I have to guess that Say I Love You must be doing well here in Italy, since another manga by Kanae Hazuki has been published here (after Suki o Choudai).
The first volume didn't impress me much. The art is a bit less clean than in SILY and the characters don't have the same pull as Mei had on me, but it's also a different (and sorter) story so I'll wait to finish it before a making up my mind completely.

Oh, story progression is not what I expect in Fairy Tail when Lucy is fighting a bondage mage.

I'm going to miss this manga. It was nice to find out the real origins of Emma, which was in a way simpler than one could think.
The last pages after the credits were also pretty cool, giving a double closure at the whole story.
Maou Juvenile Remix vol 6
Great volume. When I first picked it, I was wondering who the girl on the cover was (the cover is pretty cool imo) but finding out it was just a doll kinda ruined it.
Ando, despite his latent cowardice, has become a great main character that is able to use his limited resources and power in pretty great ways. I've really grown to like this a lot.
Gamaran vol 6
Gama got himself into a tough fight once again. His cocky attitude is what I like most, especially because he is able to deliver on it. Too bad the volume ends without a resolution to the fight, which means I'll need to wait for the next volume.
I'm going to miss this manga. It was nice to find out the real origins of Emma, which was in a way simpler than one could think.
She's not the spirit of Jizou Bosatsu but just the soul of a girl that sinned and Enma turning her into a paper doll is his way to try and cleanse Ema's soul without having the soul suffer into hellfire. I found this to be pretty cool and give a nice sense to the whole story.

So this manga is about a girl with red hair that is rare and she seduces the prince of some random kingdom. And she is like leeching off from him. And other people want the red haired girl so they keep kidnapping her. Oh and there is a ninja for some reason. And the prince apparently got nothing better to do so he is always chilling with the red haired girl. How is this kingdom not already crumbling?
Does the ninja come back gunbo?
I know I was supposed to read the whole 30 chapters of this manga by Sunday but I got busy playing the Naruto PSP game. I will finish the rest this week gunbo.

I'm on ch62 of BH. These chapters are fucking long! I'm sick and full of cold medications though. And I was also streaming winter brawl 6 at the same time all day. So I'm taking like 5 minutes a page. lol
I'll do a write-up tomorrow probably. But I know why I got tired of BH...cause the middle indeed sucked. The beginning and end are god-tier. But the middle episodic jump between character stories shit was boring. My favorite part of the manga though was created in later volumes. And it's anything but obvious.

Haha, it's funny that the shounen-romance category is so full of trash that just being decent will keep me hooked. Anyways, the mystery theme is pretty well done and doesn't feel contrived (Ahem.. Cage of Eden anyone?) but I hope it doesn't drag too long and will end with a warm conclusion.

Meh, the panels do their job. It's supposed to portray Itagaki moving in a frantic and janky way, and he certainly looks frantic and janky.

Well I guess people just have to hope the content owners in JPN have solutions for countries around the world or thats tragic, at least people can turn to the anime on crunchyroll, though months behind, for their fix of naruto or bleach (assuming its not ending this season), if they have no more access to manga.
