Love/Death 1-2

the most revolutionary yuri series since yuricam and yuri danshi

Yuri Danshi looks interesting. Too bad it doesn't seem to have any translations yet.

Monku no Tsukeyou ga nai Rabukome 01

Average guy has been selected to be a sacrifice to a god. He gets a wish out of it. So he wishes to marry said god. Blush face commence.

Well sure then.

Sounds like a less fun Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! (I blame hekk for introducing me to this one).

The Gourmet Casino was pretty great. I like when the author takes regular/trivial things and just add the food theme to them. The bad guy was fun, and actually disturbing. All that drug/illegal food thing going on was cool.

Kingdom ch416

I wonder how this confrontation will pan out.

Kingdom ch371.1, 382.1

Kyoukai is the best~

E? Heibon Desu yo?? ch3

New guy and world building. I hope this isn't the sign that it'll delve into grand-scale drama.

Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san ch13

Writing letters is fun!

Do You Like Big Girls? ch12

Dem curves.

Barakamon Vol.02

Handa-kun continues to become more popular on the island and learn more about himself. Including loving cats, being involved in a fujoishi's pairing (and will probably be his highest chance of a relationship here, lol) and seducing a married woman.

If anything, reading this makes me want to rewatch the anime again cause vol.3 isn't until next month. D:

Have you seen much of the anime?

The manga, in my humble opinion, gets much better into its second half, and the last arc up until Hiatusageddon is one of the greats. I really hope the series is properly ended someday.

Yeah I've seen the anime which I found pretty great, one of my favorites. I mean in the beginning it's a bit slow, but damn right about at episode 51 does it get real good and interesting. It's sad they ended it and switched the timeslot with Bleach but it was getting close to the source material.

I have to say though that fight between the Level 4 and Allen/Lenalee was amazing.

Yuri Danshi looks interesting. Too bad it doesn't seem to have any translations yet.

Yuri Danshi said:
Hanadera Keisuke is obsessed with yuri, and he's read all the Yuri Hime manga. However, he is sadly aware that there is one thing a lesbian romance absolutely does not need-- him. One day, a student named Akane transferred to his class from an all-girls school. She used to go to school with another classmate, Saori, and Akane immediately tried to pick up their friendship. However, her clinginess, desire for alone-time, and intensity all convinced Keisuke that he was finally seeing yuri in reality! Soon enough, Keisuke had stalked them enough to see a love triangle between Saori, newcomer Akane, and their standoffish classmate Matsuoka. Is there truth to his observations, or is he viewing the world through yuri-tinted glasses?

Why hasn't this been picked up yet.

His newest party member is a tank.

But not just any tank.

She's a high tier mashochist tank.

......

Listen.

I've played my fair share of eroges.

And read/watch my fill of hentai and doujins.

All of them containing the usual orcs, demon lords, freaky tentacles, etc.

But this might actually be the first time I've seen a person become a knight for the sole purpose of being violated.

And honestly?

It's pretty refreshing.

Maybe what I need to start reading manga again is some fresh stuff. I like imaginative, character-centric dramas that look societal issues—like organized crime, non-heteronormative dramas, addictions, troubled youth, or people with interesting occupations (Sanctuary, Hourou Musuko, Shiba Inu, Helter Skelter, Thomas no Shinzou, Not Simple, GTO, )—or deal with some surreal, deep, weirdness (Homonculus, MW, Haruka no Machi e, Tekkon Kinkreet). Here's a list of manga I've read with starting with things I enjoyed most: click here.

I really like a range of genres, but I prefer stories with deep characterization and creative premises that make me think.

Space Brothers might fit the bill. It's pretty inspiring.
Umimachi Diary is a damn good manga, too. Since there is no real main character (it focuses on four sisters) you get some pretty varied situations and life moments.

Some recommendation from me

Kunimitsu no matsuri -> it's about a young man who want to be politician. It's funny and quite informative as well.

Black Swindler/Kurosagi -> Swindler who swindle swindler. The end note usually feature case that inspired each chapter.

Shibatora-> A police in youth division try to solve various trouble.

Rainbow -> About 7 guys in juvenile prison. Their hardship and their attempt to overcome trouble that come to them.

Ikigami: The Ultimate Limit -> In the future, one random person are selected to die at designated time. they will be noticed 24 hour before their time, and it's up to them on how they spend their final day.

Halcyon Lunch -> A jobless guy meet girl that eat everyhing. Hilarity ensue. It''s absurd and damn funny.

I'm currently reading 7 Seeds and it's pretty great, in particular the characterization. Other recommendations include:

  • Hinamatsuri: A strange girl with psychic powers suddenly gets thrown into the life of a yakuza. Great mix of comedy and themes of societal issues.
  • Boys on the Run: Can be hard to read through, but beyond that it's a memorable tale about a loser who wants to stop being a loser.
  • Nickelodeon: A collection of quirky and surreal short stories. They can make you laugh, they can make you cry, they will make you scratch your head.
  • Once Again: A short romance manhua about an ambitious workaholic man after the sudden loss of his wife.
  • Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru: Slice of life manga about amateur detective and full-time high school student Hotori and her acquaintances. Deadpan humor with an occasional serving of weird stories that might or might not allude to societal issues.
  • Getenrou, by the same author, is a short but more serious read, with a bigger emphasis on themes such as genetics and robotics.
  • Ikigami: What if a small part of the population chosen at random is planned by the government to die once they reach adulthood? How will these people deal with this fate?
  • Planetes: In the near future, the outer space around Earth will be filled with too much debris to be left unattended. In a small vessel lives a crew of junk cleaners, but what is the story behind their motivation for taking upon such a dangerous yet ungrateful job? Good cast of characters and relatively realistic portrayal of space travel.
  • Saikyou Densetsu Kurosawa: A middle-aged man down on luck decides to turn his life around.

Moshidora novel version
a.k.a what if highschool baseball manager read Peter Drucker management book.
It filled with quotation from Phillip Drucker book. More tell than show kind of writing. There's drama in there, but it mostly management. Marketing, human resource, corporate social responsibility and all that jazz but applied in highschool baseball. The later part is definitely better when they use the drama.

Tokyo Ghoul 12

Finally!

Urie getting surgery done without consent it seems? This will end poorly.

Who is that on the 3rd last page? The only person I can think of with a staff-like weapon is Amon! Maybe a new character?

Dat ending.

That ending was hilarious. I can't wait till Haise finally remembers who Touka is. The tears, the emotions, the hate, the pain, it will be wonderful.
Ao no Exorcist 64

Them spoilers, this chapter looks to be quite interesting.

I hope there some Ao no/Blue Exorcist fans here.:p

I surely am one, I've let the manga pile up, stopped at where they went to that fox girls hometown and got raided by weird abominations. I had a few theories lined up for when the older brother who's the teacher
actually has some of satan's more terrifying abilities
hence being a late bloomer in using them and
turns evil or more of an anti-hero
. It would make it even more interesting than it is right now cause it was certainly taking a slower pace last time I caught up on it.

Yukio and Rin are twins, but technically Rin is the oldest cause he came out first (even through Yukio acts like the oldest).:p
And yeah it looking like the series is heading that way for Yukio. Can't wait for more Saburota who I sure is going to continue pushing on Yukio, and at least influencing him to unlock his powers.
The arc is wrapping up now, which yeah was on the slower side (it continues doing so a bit after where you stopped) but the last couple chapters were pretty exciting.

Excellent, I'm glad the mangaka still has the original direction in mind and things are spicing up! Been buying the volumes to show my support, don't let me down!

Blessed day.

It's a chapter featuring best girl Yui.

That managed to finally change my opinion after all these years of believing the best ending to the series would be Rito marrying Lala first and everyone else in the harem after.

Because if the series doesn't have a time skip with Yui being the first girl in the harem to be pregnant.

Or having the most kids at the end.

Then I'm going to be massively disappointed.

I still need to pick up volume 12 speaking of which. Next time when I at a book store then. Blue Exorcist definitely has my support. And funny enough with the
whole Yukio and possibly gaining Satan powers
, Kazue recently posted this on her twitter.

Trauma Ryoushi Kesshou 01-04

A super duper loner discovers that time stands still for him at times. Then, a girl enters in this time frozen state and he joins a group who fights monsters in this frozen time. Most of the time.

Pretty amusing. Normal high schoolers fighting monsters blah blah, but the characters are silly enough. I mean, who starts vomiting due to too much human interaction.
