Wow at Fallout still in the top 10. Moreso the westerners in Japan, or are Japan actually quite interested in the game?

He's a pretty swell guy in my books anyway.

It just came out on PS3.

The playstation 3 seems to have a promissing year start this time round in japan.

7 titles on top 30, and some strong titles in pre-order (street fighter, resident evil, yakusa 3 and so on).

Let's see.

Is this the first time PS3 titles have outnumbered Wii titles in the top 30 (7 PS3 vs. 6 Wii)? It's certainly not a regular occurrence.

And yet hardware sales are down compared to last year (we already have Famitsu numbers). If those games were accompanied by a price cut I would agree that they could get some momentum.

I'm actually quite surprised by MT.

Wagamama Tengoku still holding strong.

MH2 out of no where, wtf. Though maybe this can be attributed to DFF.

I had no idea Devil Survivor even came out last week.

What is Uranai Seikatsu?
Also, any J-Gaffers playing the Mario Tennis? I'm curious about how the new controls work.

It did. You'll be quite addicted

Is this good y/n?

First week sales for the PS2 games:
Narutimate Hero 1: 125,000
2: 224,000
3: 194,000
Accel: 75,000
Accel 2: 94,000

So, not great, and certainly nothing compared to the series former strength, but given its on the PS3, it's not horrible.

Crazy Taxi Wii using the wheel?

This ... is a wonderful idea. The courses would have to be modified to work with non-hairtrigger turns, but that seems like it could work. They already have Crazy Taxi on the GameCube so ... Wii de Asobu: Crazy Taxi! :D

To be fair, everything is down save the 360. The PS3 is not alone ...

No lower than Nintendo want it to get. They've given themselves a massive price buffer for situations like this, along with keeping every trick in the book unused (colors, bundles, etc).

You gotta wonder why do they even bother with the PS3

Full numbers for the top 30 are up:

Kurosaki Ichigo pointed out that there seems to be some discrepancy between that blog's numbers and MC's numbers. Notice #1 and #2 according to the blog and the top two in PantherLotus's post, for example. Too bad, too. They were definitely legit, but they're either modifying the numbers themselves or MC is feeding them tagged data. :(

Well the game was made for the American Naruto audience and takes place at the start of the series where Japanese fans currently have NO INTEREST in playing right now.

The sequel that coves the later/current manga should sell at least around 100kish.

Wii owners. You're tag is updated.
Oh hey! So it is.

I'm just wondering how the rereleases are being pushed and to whom. Are they made primarily for people who didn't play them last gen or are they being sold to double-dippers?

Anyone who will buy them. ;) Pikmin has the added effect of building interest in the third game. Mario Tennis is taking the Wii Tennis controls and expanding it into a full game. Why program a new game when a modified old game will do? DK:JB just seems wrong without the bongos. :(

It was me, I bought all of those copies of Play-on-Wii: Mario Tennis GC just to piss off the hardcore ^_^

I'm actually looking forward to the other Play-on-Wii games since I never owned any of them for my Gamecube, plus they are only $30 each so why not? =D

Anyway, noooo Kirby ;-;...but Kirby did well in Japan so it's good to here. Now where the hell is Kirby Wii, Nintendo? Gimme it now ¬¬
