Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
Metal Max 4, as well as a Mushibugyou adaptation, are coming to 3DS too.

According to sinobi, MH4 pre-orders are crazy.
Amazon.jp, Rakuten, Toys R Us, GEO or even Tsutaya and more... the game is sold out in this places. Until Capcom increases the 600k shipment, they won't take more pre-orders.

Bic Camera is the only big chain of stores that is still taking MH4 mail orders.

Speaking of which, are there any predictions going as regards MH4?

Comgnet - 89 days from release:

MH4 - 812pt
MHP3 - 1162PT
MH3G - (not in the top 20, only reached 800pt 25 days before the release anyway...)

If Capcom hadn't put such small initial shipment, numbers might be the same as MHP3. Sony/Vita fans might want to stay away from MC threads during September. Distract yourselves with Tokyo Game Show or something...

Why wouldn't Capcom bump the initial shipment? Do they want to stir demand? 600k doesn't seem like an extreme number given the high interest and this being MH4.

If Vita fans solace has been that somehow MH4 was going to underperform to make Capcom see the light that would be quite sad, unless you mean Vita hardware sales, but there have been much worse weeks relatively for Vita than what there will be in September. But I'm sure Jonnyram is right, why would the next mainline entry on the leading platform of the country sell double what the 17th version of MH3 did.

3G sold ~500k FW for comparison. There has to be more than that. There's still time to increase shipment. Might just be the Animal Crossing situation over again.

Yes, because the biggest reason to stay away from sales threads is MH4 performing well. Not the dire Vita numbers or anything.

Everyone knows MH4 will clean up. That's why it was such a blow when the Vita 'lost it', so to speak.

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free
They'll have to manufacture cartridges month in advance to be ready for the demand for Pokemon X/Y worldwide. Hope this doesn't mean shortages for many other titles in the holiday season.

Well to be fair .isn't every single dev and publisher jumping clear of a monster hunter release in japan regardless of platform ?

I wonder what effect Pokémon's worldwide release will have on 3DS software.

I mean, that's a hell of a lot of cartridges needed for launch. I could well see other titles having limited supply as a result.

What is this shit? Please put your pants back on.

Yes it did everywhere else, but not in Japan yet. What would be considered a bomba for this game? Less than Epic Mickey?
Taking a quick look, EM sold 60k lifetime, but I don't know if you would consider that bombing since Mickey games don't really have much presence in Japan.

strange to see the 3DS behind in YTD when this year was nothing but quality for the system. Well Pokemon/MH4 will fix this, big time.

We've been through this already, this year didn't have as many release as last year in the first half. Without AC and Luigi, the numbers would have been abysmal.

What? Only the Wii/360/PS3 released in the west right? And these are coming out for Japan?

Ah 3DS version did too, so I suppose Wii U is the only one they had to up port?

No, every version launched in the west. The Wii U version was delayed and only came out this year though.

Nintendo getting Monster Hunter was probably one of their best decisions this gen.

I don't know if it matters (it doesn't) but Epic Mickey 2 is launching on Wii, Wii U, and 3DS on September 26th according to Shinobi's twitter account (same day as WWHD).

EM wasn't a big seller ,but it wasn't expected to be. This will be no different.
At least I 'll get to hear if the Japanese VA 's are good or not.
