I get the sense that maybe Nagai and Okada really butted heads on how the series would end. Nagai felt that the majority of the cast should have died, and Okada wanted a more light bittersweet ending. To be honest, I'm really happy Okada won out in the end personally.
Thankfully. If they all died what would have been the overall message?
That being said, the implication in the finale was that Atra and Kuelia did indeed hook up somewhere in the time skip.
Not necessarily. They might have gone on to get 'married' for the legal protections it entails for Mika Jr and Atra.
I believe they are just fellow Guardians of Mika Jr. and not really in love with each other. Just so they can get child benefits and protections for Mika Jr.That being said, the implication in the finale was that Atra and Kuelia did indeed hook up somewhere in the time skip.
Thankfully. If they all died what would have been the overall message? Big governments with all the power and resources will always win out over the little and any resistance or attempts at change are pointless?
That ain't the spirit of Gundam at all.
The lesson IBO as a whole teaches is simple: Change is possible with political and actual force (S1) but not brute force alone (S2). I'm sure there's more you can say than that, but that's the point at its simplest.

If everyone but Atra (and that baby) died, that would have been the most Tomino ending ever. He would have been so belt with this team and thought he found his successor
To me the most depressing Tomino ending is still Zeta Gundam's with how Kamille ends up. But I guess it gets rectified in ZZ Gundam with Kamille getting better towards the end of that show.If everyone but Atra (and that baby) died, that would have been the most Tomino ending ever. Oh I know but Zeta just sticks with me more.Victory exist bruh. Victory.^^
You know Hush is such a fucking chump/jobber when his name can't even found on the memorial plaque.
Where's Shino? Maybe Hush = Kusharia Anderson in the bottom right adjacent to Mikazuki?

The internment camps were done to American citizens, dude.
Not sure I get your point?
My point is that in a lot of cases they were 2nd and 3rd generation citizens. They had nothing to do with Japan, other than their ancestors were born there. To point out internment as an example of treating the enemy as shit is factually incorrect.
They should rename the series as "Dainsleif" because Gundam worth fuck all in this.
