Most Disturbing Videos We've Seen On The Net

A few people sent me the video of the mosque attack in New Zealand. I didn't know what it was until the shooting started. That was pretty horrendous. The weird thing is, I was actually sent that on WhatsApp rather than the internet proper. Another one in a similar vein was the one a few years ago where a news reporter was shot live on TV and it was all over Twitter. People retweeting it. Horrible.

I can't really pinpoint most disturbing video on the internet to me in particular because I've seen so much of them. Used to pretty much frequently check /r/watchpeopledie or liveleak sections and watch fucked up things - be it execution videos from cartels, accidents in warehouses, roads etc. There was something really "interesting" (I mean not really but can't find proper word) how fucked up in the heads people can be... but if you watch plenty of these you just go "what the fuck"
and move on almost immediately. I'm sure if I saw shit like this in real life it'd be a different story...

One friend from work serve as a fireman, too and he has on a phone plenty of fucked up videos showing everyone. He recorded one time an aftermath of a guy killing himself by attaching steel cord to his neck through back window of his car and the other end to a tree, and then going in at full speed. What people can think about when they're about to end themselves is beyond me...

And just for the laughs:

Oooh oooh, I just remembered. There was one where a guy had a head cam and base jumped off a dam or something. His chute didn’t open properly and he slammed back into the dam, slid down it and landed on the uneven rocks below. You could watch the whole thing from first person and hear his bones crack as he hit the rocks.

Usually videos like this finish abruptly at the bad part, but not this one. Their was a further 10 minutes of him lying on the rocks, camera sideways, moaning in pain, and trying to futilely drag himself here and there by his hands because his legs are shattered and everytime he shifts, you catch a glimpse of the blood smeared on the rocks.

Ahhhh, those innocent internet years.

It's not the worst video video I have ever seen,
but it was a beheading video with people speaking Russian or some similar language where they started from the middle and went downward through the arteries and wind pipe first. The guttural and gurgling sounds the man made as his head was being cut as he was still able to make vocal noises haunts me to this day. I can remember the sound vividly. I can hear it in my nightmares sometimes. Those fucking sounds man. I'll never be free of them.

Yep that's the video I was referring to.

First Chechen War, I think.

I hate seeing people or animals suffer, especially when they don't deserve it, so I avoid it. The worlds of human beauty and human ugliness are both equally expansive and complex, and both are interesting and fascinating in their own right.

However, I prefer the world that expresses love and life over the one that expresses hatred and death. All the ugliness does is disappoint and depress me. I know it exists. I don't respect it enough to give a shit how much.

Some men in Africa getting beat to death with metal bats. As they're lying there, out of it, still getting hit in the head. Then they are lit on fire and the one guys gets a rush of adrenaline to get up and run around screaming.

Yeah and that's one video I have told friends about seeing before, but I have refused to show it to any of them, because I simply can't due to the almost inhuman sounds the Russian captive made while he was being brutally decapitated like that. It's one of those videos that genuinely triggers me in the sense that I just can't think straight and makes me sweat as the completely vivid memory of watching it plays through my mind. I have to actually find a safe space like outside away from people to just get through the shock of it just popping up out of nowhere just to regain my composure.

I've driven by a few horrendous car accidents where a person's brains and destroyed skull were spattered across 15 feet of road, bodies ripped in half with their entrails strewn about. I have seen my fair share of Isis beheadings before and cartel doings, but I don't know man. the video you and I brought up just fucking got to me a lot more than anything else I have seen despite the visual aspect being far from the worst.

Also petran79 petran79 the clarification of who was involved in that video is appreciated. I honestly didn't know anything about the actual nationality of the victim or his vile captors. The only words I remember from the video title were rebels behead captive.

/r/watchpeopledie had some dark disturbing shit until it was shut down. It migrated elsewhere but I’m not sure where.

I'm not one for doxing, but all of the people that were signed up to that website need to be tracked down and given a Psych-eval.

I don't watch gore porn or people getting hurt. I go fucking mental at work if someone tries to show me a video of someone dying, being killed or being injured. It's a disturbing look at our society when groups of adults sit around laughing or enjoyably watching others suffer. I don't remember anything like this happening decades ago?

I'm not judgmental in real life at all, i prefer a live and let live philosophy, despite how i might come across on here. There's a line though and that line is gore porn. If you watch it, i have no time for you.

One of my mates posted a video on Facebook without any description.

It was of some guy jumping off a cliff with the intention of landing in the sea. Instead he hit a rock and split his head in half. Just horrific.

My mate got banned from FB for a bit as a result.

I've seen that. It's the most disturbing shit I've seen online.

Although, it's two different videos spliced together. The guy who jumps dies instantly, the video of the head split open is a failed suicide attempt with (apparently) a shotgun (slug shot not spread shot). He also died moments after the film.

Ah OK. Didn’t realise the two bits of footage were different incidents. It’s horrible, especially when I’d only just woken up and casually clicked on it.

Still not the worst thing I’ve seen online. That would be the photos of Malaysian Airline crash site in Ukraine.

I used to frequent Ogrish during that time. Fond memories....

Gore videos have no effect on me, accidents are way more chilling imho.

There's a chilling low-res potato cam video of a young married couple messing around near the shore of a dam in Yemen. The guy can't swim, slips into deeper parts of the water and proceeds to drag the girl to death with him (keeps pushing her under water to get one last breath of air). The most chilling part of the video is the silence after they both drowned (and the fact that the girl managed to get out but was dragged back in by the guy). The footage is from one of their phones being placed near the shore btw.
If you're curious, just search for something like 'couple drown yemen' on YouTube, it should be one of the first results.

Y'all ever seen the ISIS video where this 3-4 year old kid executes some dude at gunpoint?

Gnarly shit.

Heared about a video of some Russian psycho that smashed someone's face with a hammer, the guy was still alive and trying to breathe and you could hear the slurping. Or ISIS execution videos, yeah, no thanks. :goog_downcast_sweat::goog_downcast_sweat::goog_downcast_sweat:

When I first got the internet in the 90's I tried to find the worst stuff just to test my limits, I found it. Now don't need to talk about it anymore.

The 90s had rotten and pain olympics. I feel like anything else is just whatever.

That Christchurch mosque shooting video really did a number on me, it was surreal, almost videogame like. I've grown callused to depictions of savagery and brutality (fictitious or otherwise) through years of exposure to rotten, steakandcheese, and such on one end of the spectrum to my everyday media but I was just not prepared for this one. I thought nothing could top that be-heading video i saw years ago, i was wrong.

The most fucked video I ever saw was in a "top 10 most disturbing footage on the internet" youtube video (now taken down).

It was footage of what sounded like two men behind the camera screaming at a young boy (probably around 8). The footage was really dark, I think only lit by the light of the camera, but they appeared to be in a run down house during the night. The boy was in a shower, I think he was trying to hide, but now he was sobbing, begging to be taken home. The men kept screaming at him and laughing as they told the boy he was never going to see his family again. I think the boy had a plastic bag over his face. The video just cuts out.

I still feel sick from seeing this video, but it gets worse. The youtuber who uploaded the video removed the footage and uploaded a new video explaining that he removed it because he found out the footage originated from the dark web. The full video was on some pedo website, and it was real. The men really did kidnap and torture this boy, who has not be identified.

Worst video I've ever seen.

I made the mistake of watching a video of a man being partially flayed alive. Mexican cartel of course. That was my first and only time "browsing" /r/watchpeopledie. It was horrific and fucked me up for a good week or so.

My friend showed me Budd Dwyer's suicide on YouTube (without telling me what it was until it was too late).

That shit is still up on YouTube. An actual, genuine, suicide video. It's listed as educational. It is equal parts gory and sad. The dude shot himself with a gun and had blood pouring out of his nose like it was a sink faucet. I unironically still have nightmares about it. I've been called a pussy before about not being able to handle it, but c'mon, it's a fucking live suicide. Any form of suicide is bad enough, but that? That shit haunts me.

That was the first gore video I ever saw. On youtube in like 2009 I think. Didn't phase me surprisingly. Shouts out to CKY

While I've never seen the Dnepropetrovsk maniac's video, I heard a few seconds of the audio on the Sword & Scale podcast. It was honestly a mistake and wish that I could somehow wipe my memory of it.

That video and the audio from the tool box killers killing that girl are things I never want to experience. The 1 lunatic 1 ice pick video wasn't TOO terrible (although it's definitely terrible) because there is no audio and the guy is dead through the whole thing so it almost has a fakeish quality to it, even though you know it's real.

I saw that one as a teen on a Faces of Death video - had no idea it was on youtube yikes

There's a fake video of the Christine Chubbuck suicide on youtube. It happened live on air but during an era before people recorded live TV. I doubt the real video exists anymore.

There's also fake audio of the grizzly man and his woman being mauled to death. The real audio was said to be destroyed according to the documentary.

I was looking this up last night. Apparently she kept it and it’s in a vault/safe or something. Also, it seems to be 50/50 split whether that audio is fake or not.

I listened to the audio first and thought it sounded fake.

Then I watched the documentary for the first time.

Then I listened to the audio again and wasn’t so sure it was fake. Once you get to know his voice from the doco, it kind of sounds more believable. Kind of.

It didn't match up with the transcript. Plus, you'd think a man being mauled to death by a grizzly would sound much worse than that. It sounded like a bad acting job rather than a guy literally being torn to pieces.

But, apparently there are also a lot of contradictions and falsities in the debunking. I didn’t delve very deep at all, but I think it’s still up in the air and there is definitely a reason to want to make the tape appear fake. Obvious reasons.

Did you not hear the bloodcurdling screams?

Just listened to the recording again and it still sounds fake to me. As if it were recorded indoors.

I suppose it's possible that she might have saved the tape for a rainy day if things got desperate enough. If she didn't plan to release it then what's the point of keeping it? I'm sure there's a lot of weirdos who would pay top dollar for it.

I’m not convinced either way, just saying it’s possible. Some parts of it definitely sound fake. Some parts sound real.

The bit in the doco where he tells her to “destroy the tape” seems almost set up (like many parts of the doco) and her response that she will sounds less than convincing.

I saw Budd Dwyers suicide once in the late 90s. That was nightmare fuel. I don't like real life disturbing videos, it makes me kinda sick to the stomach. Gory movies I have no issues with, but I prefer to skip the real life crazy shit on Internet. I also remember that Rotten website. My friends loved it but I didn't want anything to do with it. Lots of disturbing content there. Maybe it doesn't exist anymore.

Just stumbled on this, It's not close to some videos mentioned here but still quite disturbing (you can see final moments of life)

Stuff from ogrish back in the day, nasty beheadings and stuff, people getting eviscerated by shotguns etc.

The thing that's made me the most uncomfortable though was some clip from a movie about some East Asian country doing messed up stuff to some minority population. Honestly I have no idea which one, maybe Japan in WWII, or China. Anyway they have some people chained up outside in below freezing weather, continually pour water on their hands, then take them inside and thaw them up, hit the hands with some implement and they just turned into mush. Never got that image out of my head.
Think the movie you're taking about was Men Behind the Sun. Pretty sure they intercut real footage with the scripted stuff. Was about the horrific things the Japanese did during WW2.

I'm fascinated by those execution videos where the victims are aware of what's happening.

There are a couple of videos of a Venezuelan child murderer. The guards threw him in with other inmates for some prison justice. They torture him with boiling plastic. The part that stuck with me is when they cut off a hand and made him eat his own fingers. By this time his mind was straight-up broken.
There are some very impressive amputation and evisceration videos out there, but the glassy-eyed dude happily chewing his own fingers is truly stranger than fiction.
