NA PSN Flash Sale 7/15 - 7/18

I really wish they would put deadpool on sale at some point especially since they created a next gen re-release that no one asked for. I know its not terribly good but would still like to experience it atleast for the humor.

It's not that funny. Well, it's hit or miss.

Where do you live? I rented it from Red Box and beat it in two days. It was worth the $6, gameplay is okay enough. Level design is pretty bad, though.

Actually, it was funnier than the atrocious Deadpool movie.

I really loved Chaos Theory on the Xbox. Did the PS3 remaster turn out okay?

Thinking about Darius Burst and Garden Warfare 2 as well but will probably wait for heftier discounts.

i should have bought this at launch. definitely buying it now

I'm sure it's asked every single time it's on sale, but I'll ask anyways. Deus Ex Director's Cut worth getting if you've played the original?
It's a better way to replay the game so if you're going to set aside 12-18 hours to do so I think it's definitely worth the $7.50.

Boss fights are vastly improved. Still not great but any improvement is thankful... I mean, they're not any more non-linear per se, it's just now you have two main sort of linear options... the shoot-the-strawman one remains or now there's generally one where you hack something to get robots/gas/etc to shoot the strawman. Which are still rather straightforward and linear... the first boss fight actually has a bit of freedom to it but the others are super linear in terms of what you hack, what you use to kill the boss, etc. They're still a big improvement and actually feel sort of Deus Ex esque whereas the meatbag bullet sponges did not.

Small improvements like the DLC content being integrated into the game... namely, the silenced sniper rifle and break-action shotgun in the first warehouse mission. Also, there's a grenade launcher you can get from Tong after the DLC Tracer Tong mission,

Lastly, the main DLC story gets integrated into the main story.... it's probably pretty great for a person who is replaying DXHR just because it gives you lots of new stuff to do. It's actually sort of jarring in pacing and length, and could hurt the experience for new players.

It helps explain between the Hengsha port and Omega Ranch Labs, and especially gives far more context to Panchaea and the game's final boss.

But it's length and pacing is like 4-8 hour DLC which fits rather poorly. Were it an original part of the game, which would have been welcomed IMO, it probably should have been 1-2 hours.

It's a fun area though when you're replaying the game... the Tanker part actually kinda reminds me of MGS for some reason, and the base itself looks pretty cool. In general I love the Belltower private security or corporate espionage stuff in DXHR though, so I liked reading all the new stories, the base art, etc.

Plus the gold Belltower revolver you get at the end is pretty cool haha dunno why but I always thought the DXHR revolver looked and felt like one of the best FPS handguns in recent years (DXHR's guns in general look pretty awesome and both handguns feel great). But that's pretty subjective.

I need to fight the urge of buying last of us for 8 dollars... I never played the game but I am so far behind on my games because all I play is games like dota 2, csgo, and overwatch that it would be a waste

Its literally my number one game as far as story goes. Go for it. At that price it's literally a steal.

How is Destiny TTK for someone who plans on playing it solo? None of my friends have it and I don't know of any matchmaking system. I enjoyed the borderlands series to myself (though it was incredible going through it the first time with friends).

Getting The Last of Us Remastered at that price is steal!! Traded in my physical copy in a long time ago, but I've been itching to play it again.

Also in for Ratchet and Clank Collection on the Vita. I've only played the PS4 reboot, but would to love play the other originals as well. Heard it has frame rate issues, but for $6 I can live with that.

Man at those Ratchet prices. Blacklist is worth it in Ps3¿

Xbox one bc makes these sales much harder. Step up ur price game and bc list ms and I'm there

I bought Tembo the Badass Elephant, but I'm holding off on anything else. I'm intrigued by R+C, but Size Matters wasn't exactly fun on the Vita, though maybe I should just play it on my PSTV with a DS4.

Tembo is pretty awesome, too, though I'm barely into the game.

Edit: Though Assault Android Cactus might scratch the Cannon Spike itch I have...though I could also just play more Cannon Spike.

Most people will probably tell you to avoid it as a solo game, but that's how I play it for the most part. To me, Destiny's FPS mechanics are just so satisfying and easily among the most enjoyable I've experienced in console FPS's.

The game certainly has issue. The story pre-Taken King is anemic and missions are fairly repetitive (deal with waves of enemies while ghost decrypts something, clear out enemies from area, and so forth). But the missions themselves can still be quite satisfying as the game is very good at creating tension and kicking in the adrenaline whenever your health bar "shatters" into the red and you're desperately trying to stave off a horde of enemies before an untimely death. I should also mention there's also some fantastic music in this game.

Story missions are pretty easy to solo, and if you make sure to collect bounties in the main hub area of the game, you'll level up fairly quickly. With the exception of Story missions (which again are relatively easy to solo) and Raids, most of the other activities in the game like PvP, Strikes (basically larger story missions with 3 players), Prison of Elders (their take on horde mode), all have matchmaking, and all have the promise of getting you better loot.

To me, the game is easily worth $25 as a solo experience, but your mileage may vary depending how much you love the shooting mechanics and get that lust for loot. Even if you don't get into the Raids, I think at this point there's still enough content surrounding it to make it worth it.

Heard it's VERY iffy, same with Jak Collection on Vita. They're both great on PS3 (Ratchet has a couple of hiccups though, nothing major). Sly Collection is the only one that's fantastic on both (it's 30fps though on Vita).

I suggest looking further before grabbing Ratchet Collection on Vita.
I'm going to say screw it and give it a shot. I've spent more on worse before.

Never played borderlands but played the base destiny game solo and most of TTK as well and i'll give you my thoughts on it. I honestly thought it was pretty good and it can be played in almost completely solo the only exceptions with the exceptions being PvP(crucible)/PvE(strikes/trails/raid). Don't really need to communicate with others for this game so if you're mic shy like i am you'll be fine just hope you get competent players.

This also sums up my feels on this as well

The Last of Us Remastered for $8 is a crazy good price. Played it on PS3 when it came out and don't have any immediate plans to replay it, but for that price, don't mind having it in my PS4 library.

I'll drop another recommendation for Assault Android Cactus. Extremely polished, fast-paced twin-stick shooter with style, character and great music. They're masterworks all, you can't go wrong.

Is Kill zone Intercept local co-op or online only? Any decent?

No local co-op, but I think you are able to play it by yourself offline. Not recommended though since the maps are designed for four players each with specified classes to work together in order to fight off the waves.

Pretty sure its online community is dead. I remember only seeing a few dozen people on it when it first came out two years ago.

How is ratchet and clank collection on vita? Performance wise
Is it as bad as jak and daxter vita collection ?

It runs at 30 fps in comparison to the 60 fps the original PS2 versions achieved. Reviewers claim that it can dip to 15 fps at times, but that can be anecdotal.

Thanks for all the love being shown to Cactus in here <3 this is almost double our deepest ever discount prior and it's really re-assuring to see so many recommendations.

Also if you haven't got Day of the Tentacle it's an incredible remaster!

I hate being presented with a decent deal on Knack, because it's then that I realize how much I don't actually feel like buying Knack :X

Get Assault Android Cactus though, it's really fun

Would of bought Knack if it was a fiver, that's about all that interests me this sale.

Why are PS2 games never on sale..

Is Randal's Mondays any good?

FINALLY LoU:R is on sale for a great price! Can't wait to dip in after hearing about all the hype.

Knack... eh, back to the PSplus waitlist.

Should I get The Last of Us? I've had parts of the game already spoiled for me and I've already waited forever and not played it yet but this is as cheap as I've ever seen it so far. Not sure if its worth throwing in the digital library.

Everybody Gone to the Rapture for $7.99

Worth it?

1000%

Are you kidding me?? If there's any game you should have in your digital library it's that. You'll still love it despite the spoilers. TLOU is the journey, not the destination.

Stuff like Dark Cloud, Dark Cloud 2, Rogue Galaxy, etc... have been on sale. I got all that stuff through sales.

Not many have been on sale since that sale. Think Rockstar published ones were it.

Couple of em I want to get but not sure I'll like 'em so rather not spend $15 on them.

Yes, definitely. One of the best games of the past decade.

Go for it. They already did a price drop at $20, so I don't think they'll go any lower than $8 for a while. Plays at a solid 60 fps and its awesome DLC is included.

The overall experience will more than make up for the sections that have been spoiled for you. As long as it's not the ending. I'd be super pissed if someone revealed it to me before I was able to complete it.

Maybe its just me but that PS4 list is almost always the same games every time, unless its concentrated on "indie" stuff. Meh.
