NA PSN Flash Sale 7/15 - 7/18

Glad Neo Contra came back around on a flash sale, I forgot to get it when it was in one earlier in the year.

So weird to me that Konami's more proactive than most companies about participating in sales. With the way they treat their IP and their company itself, you would think they'd be one of those publishers that mostly let their digital content rot on the shelves at normal prices.

Are any of the Ratchet & Crank Vita ports worth their respective sales prices (Collection, Full Frontal Assault)? I've heard less than stellar things about their performance.

So I got a $10 code and got all of the games I wanted after all.

Buying Into the Nexus also gave me Quest for Booty in my download list and since that one's more expensive on its own people might want to jump on Into the Nexus to get both for cheaper.

Sony is killing me with the sales. I vowed not to buy anything until I've had my fun with NMS and Legion, but I can't resist some of these prices. Well, at least my already overwhelming backlog has five new friends.

Is the multiplayer of Battlefield Hardline better than 4's? How does it compare to Bad Company 2's?

Not really comparable to either.

Bought the standard ed back in day one and am enjoying the free DLC now but HL is just a run n gun and hope your latency is better than whomever is shooting at you. Worth buying, I'd say no. Save your money but if you have extra to spare there are at least 2 servers semi full of each game mode still.

I'm on the fence for Zombie Army... I want the game but in physical form but that's never gonna happen here is it?

I really wish they would put deadpool on sale at some point especially since they created a next gen re-release that no one asked for. I know its not terribly good but would still like to experience it atleast for the humor.

Grabbed Deadpool a couple months ago myself. Not bad, only put a couple hours in and its hardly a bad game. Just a pretty standard action game, that can feel a bit rote at times like an old beat em up, but you have a solid repertoire of abilities in your arsenal to consider when dealing with different enemy types. It does really push a ton of jokes in your face, most of which are pretty lowbrow, but occasionally some of them hit. Nothing I have witnessed yet seems deserving of the negative outlook, but I can understand why many would scoff at the style of jokes. As a game, its fine so far though.

If you want something a little strange and arcade-like, pick up Kromaia Omega. It's a cross between Rez and Galaxy Force II - such an awesome game that no one talks about.

It's a steal at that price.

Anyone have the GTA Vita collection? Are the games improved for Vita in any way? Do they use the second analog stick?
All PSP games run better on Vita - this will range from faster load times (faster than PSP from memory-stick I mean) to improved framerates where framerate wasn't perfectly locked - I only played one of GTA games there, and it did get both.
Analog stick can be re-mapped through custom controls - but depending on the game that may or may not be usable (eg. it works perfect on Katamari, but not so great on some other games).

Is there a way to get a refund on something I bought on Ps3 just now if I haven't downloaded it yet? I've been looking online but I can't find a good answer.

I looked as some reviews of Overlord: fellowship of evil

After a couple of hours spent with Fellowship of Evil I deleted my account on Steam, sold my PC, ran away into the woods and never came back. And when I came back I was still screaming.

There isn't a concrete answer to that. If it's the first time asking for a refund the odds are you will get it. Besides that you can ask but there's a high chance they won't give a refund.

Gonna take The Last of Us, as I missed the end of the ps3 era (my ps3 died sometime before the uncharted 3).

Anything else on PS4? Is this killzone any good (I liked killzone 2)? And those Metro games, are they nice? Im not interested in BF or CoD.

So, I'm currently really enjoying Star Wars Battlefront and it made me want to try out the Battlefield series sometime. Is the Battlefield Bundle worth it? Do people still play?

Thoughts on getting into Destiny this late?
Do it, there's still a fairly active gaf community and for a new player, tons of stuff to do. If you enjoy it, the new expansion coming out will bring back some old timers and with D2 around the corner and characters transferring, you have a lot more in store.

Still my most played game of the generation and even with the drought for me, it's fun.

Everybody Gone to the Rapture for $7.99

Worth it?
Depends, it's kind of an aimless slightly pretentious walking sim with a pretty enviroment, excellent music and VA but very little else to recommend it. I loved it for about half an hour but very quickly got bored of it.

But be warned, the walking speed is INSANELY SLOW, like you're literally walking through treacle. I found it so frustrating it soured me on the whole experience.

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is a very similar game but it's far better, get that instead.

Picked up The Last of Us Remastered. Wasn't too big on it when I first played it, started it last night with my girlfriend and am liking it a lot more now. Really nice remaster job too in general, but a few of the textures that they didn't touch are sort of hilariously jarring. Not in a way that I can blame it for because it looks so goddamn good otherwise of course.

How's DariusBurst? I want a decent shmup on my Vita. Thinking of Gradius Collection also, but I swear that I heard some not-so-great things about that at some point? Could be mistaken though.

Does anyone know why I'm not able to purchase anything? Whether it's pay pal or debit card, I get the "Your purchase may not be complete" error. It's been going on since yesterday.

I just want to make sure,

For Destiny, if I alreeady have the base game but not the DLC, I only need to buy ''The Taken King'' , right? Not the legendary edition?

The Taken King = Includes all the DLC?

Nope. You have to buy the legendary edition.

Anybody know why Quest for Booty is more than the other R&C games? Anyways I grabbed most of the series anyone - some of them were in dire need of a replay and I never got around to any of the "Future" games.

No idea why it's more expensive, but I believe if you buy Into the Nexus, it comes with Quest for Booty for free.

I hope to see some LTTPs for TLOU, I didn't love its technical performance on PS3 and stopped pretty early. Loved it on PS4 though, one of my GOATs.

Just wanted to say the Ratchet and Clank games are a steal at these prices. If anybody's on the fence I'd highly recommend the HD collection on PS3, Tools of Destruction, A Crack in Time, and Into the Nexus.

Assault Android Cactus - $5.99s
Glad I waited. This game should melt my eyes, if those gifs are anything to go by.
Killzone HD – $4.49
YUS. Was about grab this a few weeks ago. Glad I waited. Now I can play Botzone on Park Terminal, KZ's first scrub map.
Payday 2: CRIMEWARE EDITION -$9.89
Did they fix the console versions of this yet?

Ratchet: Deadlocked – $2.99
This is a STEAL for anybody that wants a game whose tagline should've been "Shoot the shit." It's sooooooo fuuuuuun to shoot the guns in this game. And then there's a spiked flail in it, too! And you don't even have to ignore the fucked up animation pauses in the cutscenes, because you only paid $2.99 for it!

Spec Ops: The Line – $7.49
"Do you feel like a hero yet?"
Buy this game.

Thanks for the recommendation. I've been interested in checking out this series for a while now. And at 7 games for $15 it's time to give it a go!

Another good sale. I bought:

Ratchet Crack in Time
Ratchet Nexus (and got Quest for Booty for free)
Splinter Cell Blacklist

$9,72 in total. Time to play some Ratchet then.

Fat Princess Adventures is great!

Switching classes on the fly is welcome (why don't more games do this?), gameplay is good, runs well, and seems pretty full-featured.

Definitely worth the $6 IMO.

Are the Metro Redux games better than PS3 or just ports? Both games are on PS Now but for $7.50 if they are better then I'll probably just bite.

Last of Us Remastered for $8? Oh yeah!

There's some old PS3 goodies on here for a good price, too. My 500gb PS3 is almost maxed out with a ton of games I've purchased from flash sales and whatnot that I haven't even started yet. And some of my PS+ catalog. And Yakuza 5.

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is an amazing couch coop game, for anyone who is looking for one. My wife and I have been having lots of fun with it.

Nope. You have to buy the legendary edition.

Really?

What's the point of ''The Taken King'' then? On their page it says it's supposed to include expansion I and II...

Thanks for the help, I would've wasted 26 bucks
He's wrong. The Taken King standalone initially only came with the Taken King, but they later added the other two expansions to it. If you have the base game, TTK will get you all the content, no legendary edition necessary.

What's the point buying the Evolve if game is now F2P?

I believe for PC players if you owned the game before it launched F2P you were made a Founder and receive a bunch of stuff. Not sure if there's any word on if that will be the case for consoles. So this sale price could be cheaper to buy.
