Welcome to the inaugural NeoGAF Xbox 360 FIFA 12 Npower Championship. After gauging interest within FootyGAF, a few of us decided it was worth trying to set-up a competition for those of us who play are addicted to FIFA 12.

When playing each other please remember that we all belong to the NeoGAF community. When playing, be respectful, and don't be a dick. This includes trying to work a deflection off the keeper, or pressing the keeper during a goalkick. Just because it's a competition doesn't mean all forms of class go out the window. Thanks!

One question, is there anything that shouldn't be done/considered cheese? I mean I don't know if there is or isn't so if there is something I want to make sure to avoid doing it.

Only rule we've had for previous leagues is no goal poaching the keeper. Let the other players keeper always get rid of the ball without pressure.

So if the opposition keeper messes up a short kickout you have to kick it out of play? Sounds fair enough.

I might be mistaken but I think he means when the ball is in your keepers hands and you try to throw or kick it. Sometimes people stalk the keeper to get a lucky bounce/block.

Week 1 and Week 2 fixtures are posted! You have until Sunday, March 10th, to get your games done! If everyone gets they're games done prior to Sunday, we can start the next two weeks early!


Also, try and keep track of who scores the goals and who gets the assists so we can keep some extended statistics!

Also, we're doing two games a week, but we will probably be towards the end within the month.

One thing not to forget for the Home side is when you set up the online friendly lobby - MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE SQUAD SETTINGS AS ONLINE AND NOT CUSTOM. That way we have the latest updates and no custom pro's or players can be used.

Good game, you were very unlucky not to score. Thats probably the first time I've ever scored with Fahey, never mind a hatrick with him haha.
