Wow that was a lousy trailer. Hopefully there's something good at E3. I'm sure the game will be fun but man that trailer did absolutely nothing for me.
Camilla Luddington on the other hand, she does much for me. I thought she sounded almost as nice as she looks. Which is to say very good.

being a brit myself she sounds awful. she's just not a very good voice actor it seems. not even a B-movie tomb raider quality...maybe a tomb raider porno? it's just very hammy.

Several stuff made me think it was not CGI, especially the lightning, the sepcular of thhr snow and of the cave at the end, the flare she uses, its not mindblowing

Keeley Hawes is so much better at it than Luddington. We took a massive step down when she left. I'm also slightly curious as to if you will ever find it within yourself to be genuinely critical of this game.

That has turned me off to the game. I liked the more action oriented reboot. If this turns out to be another "Find a way to climb from here to there" simulator, I'll take a pass.

i actually agree. it's definately CGi, but it's not super impressive CGi. and for a SECOND CGi trailer being shown, i expected it to be mind blowing. something akin to the CGi in COD advanced warfare.

The Lara voice is the worst thing about the recent reboot of Tomb Raider. They should really stop it with the long monologues for these trailers.

Why is SE so obsessed with CG trailers? CG trailers are only good when paired with gameplay trailers. A CG trailer on its own tells us nothing about the game, and in two years all we have seen of this game is not one but two CG trailers. If your game isn't far enough along to show gameplay then don't announce the damn thing. Another CG trailer after two years of waiting for this game does nothing but piss me off. If they insist on doing one of these E3 teaser trailers at least make it a super quick in engine trailer like EA did for NFS.
Luddington really cannot be judged yet until the game releases right now I have no problem with the sequel seeing so far we have not seen any gameplay. Down the line maybe but right now I cannot be critical for no reason to do so
Try The Order. It's the closed you can get at CGI level today and that's not a joke

Agreed I do have a soft spot for Keeley but I feel she fits classic Lara more.

Her voice is fine it does not detract from the game in anyway why nitpick over two seconds dialog from the trailer lol

If only she had already shown us her craft in a previous Tomb Raider installment, then maybe we would be in a better position to judge her potential in a forthcoming Tomb Raider game.

Voices develop over time. Have you ever watched early episodes of The Simpsons with Homer? years passed and he got better same will happen with Tomb Raider
i'm not nitpicking. i'm complining about crappy voice work through an entire game and 2 CGi trailers. it's not good voice acting. it just isn't. just like FF voice acting isn't good either. if you can ignore it then good for you, but i can't. it detracts from the entire experience and makes her character more annoying then she should be. if ellie had this level of voice acting i'd have liked the last of us far less.
I think those criticising her are Brits. More than likey.
I know shes a billionaire, but that accent sounds too delicate, when she really isnt.
Well, will have wait for gameplay of that quality.

Her somewhat posh British accent is more tolerable than her weird American one she does on Greys Anatomy.
Shit trailer though. I rushed home for this. E3's gameplay better be life changing.
Not sure how her accent could possibly be hamfisted and terrible when it's pretty much her natural speaking voice.

You clearly have never played the original Resident Evil now thats awful voice acting. Camilla Luddington is trying her best with this franchise she is Lara Croft now nothing will change lol

Square have given us a more delicate Lara with these games suits her for that. I understand where you're coming from though
i think that's why her lara voice is so screwy. she's lived in the US for a long time now and she seems to be over-acting to compensate for the additional american twang in her voice... really hamming it up like most americans do when they do an english accent.
which is fine in some dodgy C grade game, but this is suposed to be a legit story with serious themes and characters and then theres some resident evil-level voice acting... for the main character no less. they need to shit-can her and find someone better, maybe someone who hasnt lost most of their british accent from living in the US for so long?
i have, in fact i've played all the resident evils. and you're right, that is awful voice acting. sadly i don't find ms crofts that much better :/

I think she's doing a fine job. Her accent can be a bit screwy like you said sometimes, I agree. Just whatever you do, don't watch videos of her as Kate Middleton in a really shitty royal family film she made a few years back. That shit will give you nightmares.

I'm saying it's my personal preference to have a more action oriented title. If it works out for them and they sell tons of games then I can't fault the change in direction. They will lose the people like me who gave up on Tomb Raider in the past but came back and enjoyed the reboot. They'll have to hope that they gain more "adventure" people than they lose "action" people.
Unfortunately for them they'll have to do quite a bit a marketing because most people will now expect a game like the last one. I predict that there will be a backlash from people like me who will buy Rise of the Tomb Raider expecting a more action oriented title and be bored when there is no one to shoot.
I've seen some salty posts in my time but this..wow. You people really do make me laugh.
i just watched the trailer...i wish i hadn't lol...plus it just reaffirms she can't act.
