Watching "Catching Hell".

It's funny how people think curses are a thing.
It's funny how you believe that a Jewish carpenter rose from the dead

I'll take the role of "angry American" here. I can't possibly think of a worse idea.

Any game is a guaranteed 85k sellout here. You guys need to start selling more tickets. Well Tampa does at least.

My cousin and I have been going back and forth for like an hour now trying to decide on a trade revolving around Ryan Mathews and LeGarrett Blount, mostly with me trying to scam him out of his WRs due to Mathews latest inflated numbers.

Do I have to do this again?

Your QB is THIS

You are banned from Freeman jokes until this mess actually looks like a human being. I swear I ordered this ban months ago, but I guess Steelers fans were also in that motorcycle accident.

I literally spat my drink out reading that. Not cause it's Ben or the picture either - just the wording got me.

I just listened to Fitzpatrick on PTI. I gotta say Buffalo got a hell of a QB.

If those guys make the playoffs, everyone is going to be sick of the stories about the beard.

steve spagnulo not talking to the BIG BAD HARBAUGHS ANYMORE!! HMMMPH!!

Spagnuolo told wife: We're not talking to Harbaughs again

Three straight defeats for the Rams have been made worse for coach Steve Spagnuolo in that each drubbing was dished out by an old friend.

Coaches Andy Reid, Tom Coughlin and John Harbaugh -- all close associates of Spagnuolo -- have outscored St. Louis by a combined 60 points in the first three weeks of the season.

After the Ravens didn't shy away from running up the score in Sunday's 37-7 drubbing, Spagnuolo put any future get-togethers with the Harbaughs on ice.

According to The Associated Press, when Spagnuolo got home Sunday night, he instructed his wife Maria, "We're not ever talking to them again."

Spagnuolo backed off that stance Monday, acknowledging that losing to friends is part of the business.

"Let me tell you something: John Harbaugh's a competitor now. So I know that in him," Spagnuolo said. "I've got no problem with it. I did feel one way yesterday, but I calmed down and looked at it."

Even if it was Mrs. Spagnuolo who calmed her husband down, we hope the Rams coach understands the primary reason for Sunday's lopsided loss: the Ravens are, well, more talented and scored easily on a defense that ranks 31st in the league. Heading into this season, St. Louis was viewed as one of the league's hot, young teams -- but less than a month in, it's only Spagnuolo's seat that's heating up.

Dan Patrick was suggesting that Vick and other QBs get hit more because coaches expect the officials to protect their QBs, and as such don't bother keeping in more protection. The idea is since QBs are so ref protected that the offense can let all their illegible receivers out.

I am not sure I completely buy that. I know Martz doesn't believe in keeping in protection and living with sacks, but is the entire league just foregoing pass protection?

That story has taken that anecdote completely out of context. I'm too lazy to go find the interview, but that story makes it seem like Spags was butthurt one day and complained to the press, then the next day backtracked.

It was all in the context of one interview, and was told mostly jokingly. He said he felt salty as it was happening, but the stuff with the wife was just for giggles.

Now the guys on the radio seemed to think that Harbaugh must have been doing something, b/c he was clearly trying to rub it in. Especially since the lead up to the game there were puff piece articles about Spags and Harbaugh being buddies.

I don't care. I hope every team runs up the score. Best case for Rams fans is maximum exposure of incompetent personnel and coaching

what i like most is that you have fucking knuckleheads like james harrison and every other defensive guy talking shit on the commish for "Making the game a pussy league", etc. but you don't ever see QB's coming out and saying "thank you for what you're doing commish! thank you for protecting us!"

I was a quasi-Detroit fan in the post-Oilers Barry Sanders era. Best of luck to Lions fans with the Ford family

baltimore will likely kick the shit out of us unless we somehow get our offensive line in order by that game (which we wont)
It's going to be glorious. Of course it's the one year I stay in the bay for Thanksgiving and the game is in Baltimore.

Are QBs really getting hit that much more? And if so... could it be attributed to the fact that teams are passing 45 times a game?

Over the past 8 years, passing attempts have gone from 38.5 being the max (Giants), to 38.5 only qualifying for the 7th highest passing attempt total in the entire league.

The top 20 teams in 2011 have more pass attempts per game than 28 other teams in 2003.

Leaguewide, there are an average of 3 more pass attempts per game than back in 2003.
If you narrow it down to the top 16 passing teams, that turns into 4 pass attempts per game.
If you narrow it down further to the top 8, that turns into 5 pass attempts more per game.

Let's look at the source of this whole blowup...Mike Vick

His last season in Atlanta, the Vick averaged all of 24.25 passing attempts per game. Last year in Philly? 31 pass attempts per game. This year? 27.6...and considering he's been knocked out in two of his 3 games, I'm going to assume those pass attempts would be closer to 33+. That's a huge difference from what he was accustomed to in Atlanta.

Mike Vick is throwing the ball, based on the 31 pass attempts per game stat...

27.8% more often in Philly 2010, than he did in his final season in Atlanta 2006.

In other words...

Quit fucking whining Vick. Eagles, quit trying to kill your QB, unless you're gonna throw Just Winz back there, then feel free to get him murdered.

my only consolation is that we are going to take flacco out for the season. we almost killed tony romo and andy dalton is scarred for life. mike vick is next.... if he's man enough to play
