Yeah buddy, I was at that game. Got to watch the monsoon live.

Most entertaining first half of a game all season. Man that game was hilarious to watch.

that game looked like it would've been a lot of fun to play in. a gigantic slip n' slide

p.s. why is that guy wearing a cards hat

I'd be stunned if the Cards didn't look to sign Steve Slaton. He's a pass-catching RB and considering they start Weenie Wells he's be an excellent guy to get 10-15 carries and reps out of the backfield.

i only wish there was some way the niners could win the division at 6-10. the bitter tears from around the NFL would be delicious
6-10 Niners vs 7-9 Texans in the Super Bowl, Will Harbaugh make up for the 1995 loss by winning a championship in the city he nearly led to the Super Bowl that year? Or do the Texans win in Peyton's house? Tickets are dirt cheap and every Texans and Niners fan still left gets in for 5 bucks.

He's toast. Whatever you remember from when he was in college, or that one good year he had, forget it. He got hurt and just lost it.

The Texans have waived running back Steve Slaton and signed running back Chris Ogbonnaya to the active roster from their practice squad.

A third-round pick from West Virginia in 2008, Slaton was a rookie revelation with a franchise-record 1,282 rushing yards. He led the AFC with 1,659 yards from scrimmage that season, averaging a team-record 4.8 yards per carry and setting a team rookie record with 10 touchdowns.

In 2009, Slaton suffered a nerve injury in his neck that eventually caused him to lose feeling in the tips of the fingers in his right hand. The injury coincided with him averaging 3.3 yards per carry and fumbling seven times in 11 games before being placed on injured reserve. He had a C-5 cervical fusion operation in the offseason to repair the injury, then spent 2010 as the Texans’ third running back and part-time kick returner.

Slaton totaled seven carries for 20 yards this season before being let go. He finishes his Texans career ranked third in team history in rushing yards (1,832), second in attempts (425) and third in rushing touchdowns (12). He averaged 4.3 yards per carry.

Ogbonnaya was the Texans' leading rusher in the preseason with 192 yards on 54 carries (3.6 average). He also had seven receptions for 77 yards. A Houston native who played at the University of Texas, he was a seventh-round draft pick of the St. Louis Rams in 2009.

I really expect to see more crossing routes run by receivers with rules that make it illegal to hit them. I don't think that rule will make it to next season though. It's probably the least popular rule change. The fuss over kickoffs turned out to be nothing, but I've seen some drives kept alive by that new rule on what are normal shoulder to body hits.

I've seen a couple of guys go low on WRs in the air. Seems the best thing to do is to hope the ground jars the ball loose.
