Wii Shop?

Tempted to get Rayman Origins 3DS. I know it's far from being a perfect port but the demo looked and played fine.

For the price, I'd be tempted myself. Heck, I'll rebuy Legends for that price if we get such a sale here. If you haven't played Origins yet, I do recommend the Wii version. But for the price here it's a pretty minor gamble to go for 3DS. (Then again looking at solid eBay listings, looks like you can get the Wii version for <$8 shipped if you get a good deal through auctions or name your own price (probably the best offer option is helpful here as well).)

Ask me about the GAF Notebook
On a side note I'm happy the DI base is forwards compatible so I can keep the new one in the box as a backup.

On the other hand I'm getting that Guitar Hero/Rockband syndrome of how many fucking bases do I need between all of this toys to life shit?

Maybe as a Christmas present to ask for. Like $200 of Wii Shop games. What are the must haves from here and the list on the previous page?

Well, Sin & Punishment upgrade for me...provided the Wii points I bought years ago still work. Maybe not the best way to play the game (thanks to dogshit filter) but the controls should work out.

As for what else this week:

StarTropics (Nintendo, NES VC) - €4.99/£4.49
Zoda's Revenge: StarTropics II (Nintendo, NES VC) - €4.99/£4.49

You've got to be shitting me. Not the fact there are three VC games coming out at once (which in itself is mad) but the price. They've stopped grandfathering the Wii Shop prices? When did that happen (I know they didn't any N64 VC games)? Yeah €5 is more than £3.49 but it is a hell of a lot less than £4.49.

Wow, there was a time around Wii U launch, where I was considering making a UK NNID because VC games were cheaper after currency conversion. £4.49 is like 6.15€ right now. Crazy stuff.

Nintendo doesn't credit purchases like that, so i'm sorry but it's a lost case.

Just got off the phone with them. They'll issue a refund to my credit card within a couple of days. She also helped me purchase the game since it's a mature title and they need to change the birth date temporarily, I then purchase the game and then they change it back.

However, you are correct that they don't normally refund it. I explained the situation where my daughter messed up and she picked the wrong game. They were very understanding.

It always depends on who you end up talking to. That's the advantage (or disadvantage) of talking to actual humans in CS. :)

I do own the Wii version but despite liking it, I never got around finishing it. I no longer can play 2D platformers outside of handhelds, so I may be able to enjoy it more this time.

Must haves? Well, for things not likely to make it to Wii U VC (ie publishers or platforms not backing it) and also leaving out things you can grab via Sega 3D Classics on 3DS I would say:

I forgot to add a detail. In my case, I was speaking to a supervisor. So keep that in mind if you have trouble with a particular rep. It's the supervisor who has the authority to make changes, etc.

nice week (runbow!) though i'm not double-dipping for s&p or star tropics. got star tropics II and s&p on wii vc and the first star tropics on nes.

also, i'm very excited for lbx, can't wait to get my hands on that

I don't know where else to ask this, but is it possible to transfer saves from one NNID to a new one on the same console? Basically, I want a new NNID but I don't want to lose my saves or downloads.

Thanks.

Under 4 quid for Gunman Clive HD collection?! Holy crap beril. I will double dip the shit out of that!

Does anyone know how to deactivate the automatic HD playback of YouTube videos in the Wii U browser? I'm pretty sure that's new, and my wifi connection can't handle it, currently rendering the service useless to me.

Nope. Wii U saves are locked down pretty hard. Probably so that people can't exploit them like what happened on Wii.

I'm a little bit curious why you'd want a new NNID in the first place.

Nice. Well, hopefully we get a similar sale here in NA and if do I'll be replaying it soon enough and enjoying it right alongside you!

Awesome list, thank you. Any particular absolute all time faves on here? I'll probably be sticking to platformer and action RPGs for the most part.

N64 still trapped on Wii (US)
F-Zero X (Nintendo)
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (Nintendo)
Mario Kart 64 (Nintendo)
Star Fox 64 (Nintendo)
Super Smash Bros. (Nintendo)
Yoshi's Story (Nintendo)

It's ridiculous these aren't on the Wii U. These are fundamental N64 titles.

I have been waiting years to play Yoshi's Story. For some reason, I never bought it on the Wii, but I think I would finally buy it on the Wii U.

It's because the word is out that he is his own good friend Marq.

I've been looking myself and unfortunately we might have to wait for them to change the player if they even decide to
