Is this even anything like the Gamecube one (only one I played)? What they showed made it seem more like some kind of AR game.

We were trying to figure that out in the thread. The answer seems to be "not exactly, but there are some similarities."

The big picture is that you do the AR thing, but to earn the film for the AR thing, you explore some environments and help out some characters. I don't expect it to be as great and definitely not as expansive as the original game was, but I think the spirit will be there.

Apparently it's like the GC game but with AR elements on as well.
Also, do we know how much is Bravely Default is gonna cost?

I don't know how long they will stay effective today but I just bought DuckTales Remastered for the reduced price about an hour ago.

I think they usually last until the store update (which should be in 45 minutes in the US?). SMB3 hasn't been released yet in the US.

I doubt it. The GTS and online battles already reject impossible Pokemon (like Magikarp with Volt Tackle or whatever), so if they cared, they'd have implemented that to Pokemon Bank in the first place. It's impossible to tell the difference between legit and hacked "possible" Pokemon, so there's nothing to be done about that. Not that anyone should care anyway.

It is very possible in a number of cases. There is no way to get a legit Sheer Force Feraligatr end of. But Bank allows you to transfer one regardless because the only check it seems to do is EVs<=510. But banning that instance would mean you have to do maintenance and unban it whenever it got a legit release which would presumably allow you to transfer it so I guess it is futile but it just seems lazy really.

Wouldn't be Nintendo's call. Square-Enix has had decent Japanese VC support for months, and did support the Wii VC (albeit a bit late) but they can't pull their shit together for North America for whatever reason.
