Nintendo E3 2017 Spotlight Thread: Not my problem. [Over]

What game are you most excited for?

Xenoblade, Yoshi, Kirby, Mario, Metroid, Pokémon - Nintendo did a great job.
Rocket League and FE Warriors was nice as well. The Zelda DLC sounds pretty interesting. Can't wait to get more details about it

My expectations were met. Mostly hyped for Mario and Kirby!

My unrealistic wish remains unrealistic, though - portable Tekken 7 ;(

yeah, not feeling Mario either. The first thing you do in game is a fetch quest for musicians, ugh.

He looks very out of place in that city, still.

Oh well, maybe a next trailer will get me excited for it.

I better start practicing my 'I know we said we wouldn't buy a Switch just for one game, but...' pitch for my other half.

The promise of Prime 4 might swing it for her. I'll lead with that.

I don't know how people can get excited for just a logo.

At least wait for something substantial.

Well, imagine the reaction to a Half Life 3 logo. Sometimes people just want a sequel and seeing that they're getting one is enough to make them lose their shit. If I saw a Fable 4 logo I'd go fucking crazy, for example.

Holy shit the bastards won E3.
Mario is looking a little rough visually. Bad stream quality or...?

The stream isn't perfect, but the game is doing some pretty impressive stuff in terms of lighting, materials, animations, draw distance and even some textures look great (like now in the desert), especially considering it's a 60fps open world. Would be nice to have some words on resolution both docked and undocked.

So there's alot here with 2017 releases. you got Mario, Rocket League, Fire Emblem Warriors, and Xenoblade 2. Also Pokken.

I guess it makes sense to hold Smash for 2018. Can probably throw another Wii U title for release next year.

:/

I am disappointed.

I can't even be happy about the things I should be happy about because of how they were done. Pokemon and Metroid were announcements of announcements.

I know people will tell me I'm crazy to be underwhelmed, but I am seriously underwhelmed. I feel like the event didn't even happen. I can't believe it's over.

Oh well.

I thought it was strange that we saw a Metroid Prime 4 announcement of all things, but the next Pikmin which we know has been in development for a while was nowhere to be found.

Why would you sell your Switch because of no VC (yet)? Did you buy a NEW console to play emulated games when anything they'll be releasing is already on the market with the Wii, Wii U, and 3DS?
Wanted to play classic games on the go with a decent screen. That's not the only reason I'm jumping off. Mario looks meh and nothing interests me so far except the Pokemon game which won't release until the end of next year. The complete lack of 3rd from not just AAA devs, but indie devs too. Just nothing here for me.

That was a great showing for a small 30min livestream. A good balance between new announcement, showcasing games releasing this year and some far off stuff.

Now I just need Tokyo Mirage Session and Xenoblade X on the Switch Nintendo please.

That was pretty weak. Mario looks good as expected, and that Metroid announcement was nice but that logo was probably thrown together this afternoon.

Eh, as long it shuts up people asking for Metroid every minute. Now they can ask when.

Who is excited for the BOTW DLC pack 2? There is some amazing potential right there imo!

I am excited for both, the trial and hard mode look fantastic.

I'm guessing we'll actually get to interact in some way with the heroes? Seems like a lot to do for DLC, which is nice

No one won E3. Sony had an easy win to have then fucked up. Nintendo had an easy win against what by comparison would be like playing basketball against cripples, and lost as well.

Xenoblade 2 - Looks great, but please change the character outfits.
Kirby Switch - Will be buying. I love Kirby
Yoshi Switch - Looks fun
Pokemon Switch - Likely not stars. Was absolutely a certainty. Shitty announcement of nothing.
Metroid Prime 4 - Extremely excited. Really good to get a confirmation, but not a real reveal either.
Mario Odyssey - Looks amazing.

Oh well.

I had low expectations. I think it was alright! You should be watching now if you aren't, Mario looks great.

Oh well.

E3 isn't what it was, especially for Nintendo. In this age of social media there is no need to condense one year's worth of announcements into a single presentation. Just be happy with what was shown and prepare your body for the next Nintendo Direct in a few months.
