Nintendo Switch Partners - Bethesda, Atlus, Capcom, EA, Epic, Unity, more

That's all I need (mostly).

Hoping for a DSIII complete edition with all the DLC or something. Still haven't managed to play DSIII. Also: Bayonetta 3 confirmed. lol

No I want a Dark Souls Remaster... Or some kind of crazy assed trilogy pack. Look I just want a portable souls game. Would so play that shit on the road trips home.

This is only because the N includes their handheld support. The only surprise there is FROM from what I see.

Based on what (little) we've seen, it doesn't feel like Switch's games will be made with a handheld agenda, aside from the obvious IPs like MH and Pokémon, assuming it gets them. And it does look like it serves as a dedicated albeit portable console rather than merely a handheld with HDMI out. Handheld-style support vs console game support really depends on how powerful and feasibly portable it is, I suppose.

I was pretty indifferent about this thing, but depending on the third party support, I might consider it. Like, if Mass Effect Andromeda was a launch game for Switch, I would get one and triple dip on that game because I'm a sucker.

An actually console-quality portable Madden or NHL game is my dream scenario.
Add me for NHL, fam.

And hopefully it's actually the current versions of NHL and Madden and not an offer version of the game with updated rosters lol.

After the Wii U launch I don't buy this list before Switch's first holiday, when presumably it'll have been available to buy for 8 months.

Have we gotten a numbers comparison between this list and the Wii U and 3DS lists combined? Obviously not counting duplicate names.

But just looking at it at a glance, this is far more support than we saw with the Wii U. The support could all easily drop off a year after launch but the Switch will be in a far better position at launch than the Wii U was.

Who are the notable companies left out? 2k likely includes Rockstar, and Activision likely includes Blizzard... CDProjekt Red? Who else?

So how many of these partnerships will be dead after a year? Just asking cuz of what happened to the wii u with 3rd party support.

Depends on hardware sales. Bethesda has never been on board with Nintendo though so its very encouraging.

Nvidia tech and support likely playing a large role here.

Things are going good for the Switch atm. We need the price and launch lineup now.

It's definitely true we need to not lose our heads too much over this kind of slides, since we've already seen several times in the recent past how they can possibly not fully translate to actual games for whatever reason. At the same time, it has to be noticed that the Switch slide shows a bigger amount of companies compared to Wii U and 3DS's ones. Also, some companies who already confirmed to be working on it are not on the slide (Ubisoft and Image & Form).

From what I can tell, the initial list of publishers/devs supporting the 3DS is almost entirely the same as the WiiU, with Gameloft being the only noted publisher the 3DS had over the WiiU.

Bethesda and From are the most immediate and notable new ones for the Switch, though you also have a few others who were not listed in either of the initial round of supporting publishers/devs for the 3DS and WiiU but did end up working on those platforms.

When will these third party devs announce games?
Probably after the next reveal Nintendo do. I imagine Nintendo will have a more in depth video soon where they talk about what the system can do in more detail and show off the software for itm I imagine after that is when the game announcements will come. I just hope we don't have to wait long for that.

The dope thing is just the idea of popular 3rd party titles being portable. Nintendo would be offering something of value that seperates itself from it's competitor for 3rd party games. There are already ways to play big 3rd party games on handhelds, but I dont think there are any options this seemless, and in an all-in-one package such as this. Furthermore, out of the big 3, Nintendo would be the only guys with this option so easily available. Hope this works out.

It's a promising list, but we'll have to see how it pans out. Might just get b team launch ports like the wiiu that sell like shit.

Nintendo has had shitty third party support, but many third parties are publicly traded and don't actually hold grudges. Give them relevant hardware for what they want to do.

Just curious, what do you mean by "likely includes," mon frere? You expecting RDR and GTA and Witcher on Switch? That'd sure throw me for a loop but...so did Skyrim!

I'm keeping a wait and see approach when it comes to third party support. I'm still buying it regardless since I mostly play games by Nintendo on their machines.

At the least, we'll get some info at the investor stuff next week, and Laura at LPVG also said we'd get specs by the end of the month, though I'm unsure to what extent.

"With the Nintendo Switch’s unique capacities and design, Nintendo will again redefine the way we play games. The Switch is accessible at its core and also seizes on the growing trend of sharing more experiences and playing anywhere at anytime. Ubisoft and Nintendo enjoy a long-standing partnership and we are currently developing a number of games for the console, including Just Dance 2017. We look forward to sharing more at a later date."

Ubisoft games announcement coming later

Between Bethesda not confirming but confirming games at a future date and Ubisoft wanting to discuss things at a later date, it definitely seems like there is gonna be a very game-centric direct coming up soon. Can't wait!

While Atlus is on the list, I highly doubt Persona 5 will be on it.

Most likely it'd be a spinoff akin to Persona Q. Or something like #FE again.

Yup. I think Nintendo probably aren't allowing devs to reveal their games until said event takes place. Hoping we get a direct announcement real soon.
