Power Stone 3 would be great.
Now this is all I can think about. I've wanted a new Power Stone for so long, and the Switch would be perfect.

I wished Nintendo could get Capcom to bring back one of their IP's that they haven't made a new game for in a while.
I think just DQB and Yooka Laylee have much of a chance. Especially latter. DQB is likelier late port than DE from SE in my opinion, but after these two I'd say DE.What are the chances we'll see the following third party titles in launch window?
Deus Ex MD
South Park TFBW
Dragon Quest Builders
Yooka Laylee
Persona 5
Doom

With the supposed "leaked" tech specs, the Switch should be able to run GTA V very nicely along with some nice bells and whistles.
IMO I think Take 2/RockStar will finally take the plunge and have a port of GTA V ready for the Switch launch. If it's popular, they'll follow up with Red Dead 2 and so on.
It'd be a perfect "litmus" test for them. If GTA V didn't sell well on the Switch, then the writing on the wall would be pretty evident. And before anyone says "but it'll be a 4 year old game".....tons of Nintendo fans have been asking for Take 2/Rockstar and a GTA game for *years* as well.
Fans will have to step up and support those offerings if they want third party support, plain and simple.
The thing is, IF Nintendo is paying for it, do you think they'd be ok with the creator announcing it on his instagram before the Switch was officially revealed?
Isn't this pretty much the same thing as every generation for the past 4?
3rd parties show up in a presentation, talk on stage, fans get excited and then the support dissipates.
I don't see how this is going to be any different than the unprecedented support.

I think Persona 5 might come over in a year or two when it gets its DX version, in which case I'd double dip on it. Got to support Nintendo as future one stop all Japan console for me whenever I can.

It's a shame that even if this gets a Switch port that it'll have to drop the two screen setup. Human Revolution was amazing on the WiiU because of it!Deus Ex MD
Probably just means their typical 'core' gamer stuff on PS4/XBO is mainly not the type of thing that the Nintendo crowd buys, that's all. Which is a fair point.
THAT'S the difference
tetris fucking online
Only in Japan (Puyo Puyo Tetris). Was there a tetris game on WiiU?
Don't understand how the 3DS third party list is being retrospectively painted as not very good. In fact it was accompanied by that huge press release list of actual solid titles in development - almost all of them coming to fruition at some point, even if some of them were vaguely construed like 'Shin Megami Tensei Title'.
I'll be half-way towards being as optimistic about Switch's third party support once I see a tangible list like that.
I'd be pretty surprised by For Honor, Yves. And I'd be absolutely gobsmacked by a sequel to Red Steel 2.
Man, sometimes I feel so detached from the world when I say I don't care for GTA. I mean I see why people would love to have the series on a Nintendo system (and now portable, which would be cool) but I'd rather have games like Red Dead Redemption 2 or a Bully 2.
I mean.
We have had a portable Nintendo GTA not too long ago. Didn't do too hot.
Then again.
You did get the impression with Chinatown Wars that Nintendo sincerely knew that it is an important franchise to have on their system.
I think Nintendo would again have to push from their end to get GTA on Switch - harder than last time - because you don't really see much incentive for Rockstar.
RDR2 is a non-starter.
I am wondering what Nintendo offered Ubisoft for their support. Being buddies is all fine and well but in business, politics play a huge role. I could really see Ubisoft asking for something in return for exclusives and ports and more than just Nintendo's marketing power. For example I could see Nintendo characters in the Rabbids TV show, or more cross-promotion opportunities.
Umm the president of the company is praising the system, the same company that put almost all their core games on WiiU and supported the Wii.
He isnt even making a vague statement like other 3rd parties.
Ubisoft is the one western company I expect to come out strong on Switch
Why bring up China town wars sales, its a top down GTA game, GTAV is a 3d GTA game and those sell much better
Mostly likely, given that the game is 5 other platforms, most of those Nintendo fans that wanted most likely purchased on another platform by now.
Hell, they're still getting ports of games released years ago on PS360. I don't know specifically about launch, but I think that Switch is releasing "off season" makes it a bit different. A glut of major games release at the end of the year, so the 2013 crop would've been concurrent with the launches of PS4 and Xbone.Did the PS4 or XBONE get ports or versions of games when they launched? As in, games released months earlier on other systems (I guess PS3/360/PC). If so, what were they?
I try to carry my PC and TV around with me, but this can't be good on my back.KAL2006 said:Do you not already own a PS4 or PC or XB1. I'd rather take a unique fame over the same thing.
I don't see why. Capcom didn't force mainline Monster Hunter to go portable. The market decided that's where the series mattered and they followed. If they release "Monster Hunter Mainline For Reals" on PS4, it will just sell less than whatever portable side product they offer.James Scott said:I do wonder if Nintendo should be concerned about losing the mainline MH series.
Rockstar should've worked with VD-Dev to have used their COP: The Recruit engine for a 3D GTA on DS.
Or they could have made a GTA game better suited to the strengths of the hardware.
Which they did.
Gonna ignore the launch window caveat and slap a probability on them just releasing on Switch period - based on nothing but my gut
Deus Ex MD - 10% (as much as I adored the Wii U director's cut of HR)
South Park TFBW - 1%
Dragon Quest Builders - Maybe 50%? I don't really know, tbh. Is Square particularly multiplat-happy when it comes to DQ?
Yooka Laylee - 90%
Persona 5 - 0.01%
Doom - 0.1%
Why?fixed that for you
Why?

THAT'S the difference
You forgot that Persona Q was on 3DS.
I think folks would've been far more interested in this for a GTA game on DS personally:

I'd take Power Stone 3 but I'd take a Rival Schools 3 even more.

It's not Sony exclusive.yeah I know. But the main ones have not seen multi plat yet
It would make sense to build just one version for both PS4/NS, but if Sony locked down the main serie yeah I see Atlus releasing a spin off, or SMT on Switchyeah I know. But the main ones have not seen multi plat yet

Viewtiful Joe 3 or reboot, or soft reboot.I wished Nintendo could get Capcom to bring back one of their IP's that they haven't made a new game for in a while.
A fair few of the logos found on the Switch slide could be added to the Wii U slide - it's not as dramatic as the pictures immediately suggest.
And anyway, until these companies start announcing games, it literally means nothing to consumers - to us.
