Since my Switch is preordered for midnight pickup at Best Buy, I'm hoping I can get a pro controller there as well.
Same.

Link?
If I fully intend on ONLY using the console in my hands, laying on a couch, is a Pro controller even worth it? Just wondering what you guys think.

Missed it, but I just decided to go ahead and preordered through Amazon Japan. Process was easy enough.
If you're just using it as a handheld, then most likely not.

It's an Ebay policy that you can't sell anything before 30 days of release. Did you even read my post?
What does it even matter? Other than being a mild inconvenience to the seller, they just have to wait a week and they can post the listing no problem.Yeah good luck getting those taken down. The collectibles world on ebay lives off months early preorders.
It won't work on handheld mode, or rather, the logistics to have it work in handheld mode would be extremely cumbersome. I won't be using the docked function of the Switch, but I plan on using Tabletop mode up close for the Pro Controller and Handheld mode for any other time.
Well, I have a lapdesk and thought, occasionally, for certain games, I might put it on tabletop mode to use the Pro controller. Up in the air on that though. Not sure how many games will be better with the Pro controller vs. the Joy-Con.
Link to what? Just look at other forums that allow resell discussion.
The dpad and larger buttons would be the only big difference imo from just using a grip.

Yeah I don't believe that Ebay is taking any of those down and banning people. If people are saying it, they are probably lying.
They aren't just going to ban your account for selling something 36 days early.
What time did they go live on Amazon?
Looks like most of us are gonna have to settle for the lopsided puppy face controller.
Won't these be available at places like Walmart. Why get bummed about missing out in a pre order.
Yup.Anyone who got one through Amazon, is it still giving a none deliver estimate?
The hori scree protector I ordered a few days ago says the same.Anyone who got one through Amazon, is it still giving a none deliver estimate?
Welp, now I'm pretty sure I'll cancel my switch preorder. BoTW on Wii U for me confirmed.

I mean, there are other retailers. Its ONLY gone up on Amazon so far.

Wut?
Exactly.
Exactly.
Already stated that the thread title is super misleading. I want to play BoTW on a full controller, so if I can't get a Switch Pro controller then my decision will be made for me.

I don't see a d-pad there but cool post.
What exactly isn't full about the 2 joycons? The hunk of plastic in the middle that connects them?
Why do you need a d-pad for BotW?
since when does a 3D Zelda game require a proper dpad?
Link jumps now so you need that D-Pad for precise platforming.
