I'm having so much fun helping people.

OMFG

Just give me that Kunoichi skin and this game is 10/10

Wow this Nami-oyogi has the best special skills... But I wanna keep my Tectician stuff and the Warrior of West items are heavy ;(

I'm upset that despite some female characters in the game, we can't use any of their character skins. :(

I wouldn't mind playing as Ayane from DOA lol.

Oh man I was worried playing through all the betas had left me a bit burned out but the game just took an unexpected turn for the awesome. Didn't at all expect my favorite mission from the alpha -- the rain temple -- to also
continue into a dungeon directly after the boss
. Such a fun turn of events, especially since I hadn't seen this kind of environment in the game before. Got some real dark souls/dragons dogma vibes from this.

Does this game have the best female presentation by Team Ninja ?

They all seem competent and non fanserviced...Unless that changes in the late game.

It's fucking incredible

They're so natural and mostly have black hair. William is also the best western samurai of them all.

But that's not a pure mage build because it can't be sustained outside of a boss room :p

It can be sustained. And you can convert your weapons in bloodborne to scale with the Arcane stat.

Anyway. Nioh is awesome. They are both amazing games so far. I don't like all the OHK boss moved in Nioh though.

Just not sure if it's better than Bloodborne to me yet. I basically platinumed bloodborne with four different characters.

The character design is absolutely fantastic.

The art design is also the best thing by Team Ninja.Much better than Ninja Gaiden's mish mash.
Guess DSP isn't going to complain about it being too easy anymore. He died 25 times in less than an hr and a half. lul

Does the game pick up later on ?

If so, that's great. Its been a bit too kind thus far.

100000% agreement on my end. I would pay real life dollars to play as a lady samurai/ninja in this.

I love this game, one thing I'm a little frustrated by is the emphasis on doing the sub missions right now. It always feels like the next main mission is about 5-10 levels higher than where I'm at.. I have been skipping most of the sub missions though. I guess it could be fun to go back and overpower them, but I kind of just want to play through the story right now.

Doing all those awesome combos is fun. It might get me killed more than I shoukld, but that's better than playing it Souls style(do nothing, but doing basic attacks and dodge when needed)

Oh this is gonna be fun.

Once I started understanding a few things about the combat system, like the skills that allow ki pulse during dodges and stance changes, it really started to come together for me. This combat system is top class, and deserves to be mentioned with the best.

Switching into low stance to dance around multiple enemies while damaging and lowering their ki, and then grappling and killing them, all while ki pulsing during dodges feels so good.

Nice thread. How are you guys going to level your toon?

I was thinking of focusing on Heart (Ki and sword power), and life.

What's the hexagon symbol next to some equipment effects? Something to do with forging? I haven't got that far yet

it means that it belongs to a set if that's what you mean, if there's text beside it

if you have more equipment you can wear with the same hexagon text, you get benefits. press l2 to see what they are

God fucking damn Nue is a shit boss, I hate boss rooms where you can get stuck on a stupid fucking fence and die to that.

Down he goes. The actual boss mechanics are fine but the amount of crap you can bump into and get stuck on is too much. Once he smashed up most of the room it was the easiest boss yet.

Im struggling big time with this game. I have platted DS1, done several rounds of DeS, DS3 and BB. I know this game has many differences but thise are known as hard games, I am finding it hard to get through the fishing village. Im level 6 and the Ogres are a huge wall I cant get past. Maybe Im too slow or lack reaction speed or something, but it is crucifying me lol.

If I have a set weapon in my off-hand, does the passive skill work for me?

Yes in my experience. I've only tried one set though - the Tacticians sword as an off hand, but I did get the enemy pulse set-bonus - the enemies showed up as red dots on the map.

Is there a skill that lets you Ki Pulse by dodging in mid stance? I have one that says it allows Ki Pulse while dodging but it seems that just lets you press both buttons simultaneously - I know light stance does it but ENB mentioned a skill for mid stance in his play through stream.
Anyone?

That should be the one... it's in the first column of skills, and requires the "damage boost after perfect pulse" upgrade. Maybe it's different for various weapons - that's how it works with the kusarigama, at least. The dodge *is* the pulse and you shouldn't need to hit R1.

Hmm, offering everything in my inventory doesn't seem like a smart thing to do. I should be selling/breaking down.

Esp since soul matching is a scam rn

I'm assuming that I can make higher level versions if I forge with better mats?

Aw man, I fucking hate these bats in the second level, made me fall down from a cliff just when I was about to recover my amrita :(

Bought the game and played through the Tower section, the Tutorial and unlocked the first shortcut. I died like 3 times to the very first enemy because I kept pressing R1 to attack (stupid me).
Combat feels great but I'm also a tiny bit intimidated because I'm always forgetting to regenerate KI after a combo and not sure what weapon and stance to use in what situation, I'm mostly in medium. This seems to be way more complex than any Souls game but I also feel like a total noob.

Is it worth investing levels and skill points into katanas? I really like them so far, but I'm a bit nervous about miss leveling and finding myself trapped because of that.

I was fighting a Tengu for a side mission and it did its aerial dive right into the water LMFAOOOOOOOOOO. But I didn't get any drops for it lol. Can someone who beat it tell me what it drops?

You actually don't have to wait for an opening. If you shoot him in the head in the beginning of the match he falls to the ground setting up the Entangle.

Yeah I tried this six times and wasted all my water. Some of the bosses in this game are just NOT fun. I keep reading and seeing cheese techniques like this and while that's nice, when I have to resort to them for boss after boss it's like wtf. I'm level 37 and can't last a minute against this prick. I might need a break -_-
