Nioh |OT| Stamina is Ki

I think the fact that it was just an enclosed area that made the fight more annoying. Every boss after it has beena cake walk for me.
Yep basically this. Onryoki can be frustrating until you understand spacing, and you make sure to dodge the ball throws from a distance.

Every other fight so far has really been down to patience and discipline.

What?! How do I get that? I NEED that.

Also anyone know if there is a fire sword?

Most of the Omnyo Mage gear usually carries it as a unique passive.

Like built in aka Raikiri, and Nami-oyogi? Most likely, but you can also reforge elements onto weapons.

If Hanzo has the best Ninja gear, who has the best Onmyou gear?

Does he?

There's a Mystic Skill you get in the last region (dojo mission opens with 20 Magic minimum)

I'm rethinking my build now...

Ninjutsu is Obsolete.. I can't think of a single Ninjutsu buff I like.

I don't like the idea of using Tiger-scroll because it will affect my timing.

Iga ninja set restores 31% percent of your ninjutsu after using a Living Weapon.

I don't use Ninjutsu so I don't know how good that is, but it sounds nice.

I think the best L armour set might be Justice Ministry

Dunno how to respec exactly, but I only want some passive shit from Ninjutsu now since Onyomi is so damn good. If only there was a Ninjutsu buff worthwhile

I'm scared to start up the game again today. Still making slow progress through the first region and no boss in sight yet.

I've died 38 times already....

am i going blind. i'm doing the ocean roars again. i don't see a way back after going to the
third lantern defended by the skeleton warrior

edit:
nevermind i found the back of the nurikabe

It's just a number man , I have died more than 200 right now .Just enjoy the game and the challenge

First region, as in: tutorial region? Or the first region after the introduction?

Remember: wait for them to hit, dodge around or block, tap the attack button twice, maybe thrice, use ki pulse to get stamina back, and dodge back. And repeat.

This is every fight.

With 5 Dex, I only need +17 more to get the passive skills I want (because I've had so many ninja locks or w/e)

If I level Dex to 15 that gives +22, so I might keep it there (I don't need the Mystic Skills)

--

Unless I want a new Guardian other than Aya-komori, I'm going to keep Spirit at 15 also.

I have spare respec stuff but I think this is where I want to stop, so that's:

Body 5
Heart (as high as possible)
Stamina 10
Strength 10
Skill 10
Dexterity 15
Magic 30
Spirit 15

I'm nearing the end of region 3 and still haven't seen any fire type main weapons.

I'm doing a level 1 run and having the good gear with elemental additions has been the only thing that got me through some portions.

I had one but it was in region 1 and had like 3 fire. Figured I'd eventually see a named one.

First region after the tutorial. I'm at
mission level 5, finding out what happened to the fishing village.

Yeah I'm trying to fight like that, but when I start to panic I forget I'm playing a game like this and start to mash buttons, lose all my Ki and get killed. What did help me a lot was using an axe instead of a sword.

well then, burn some incense, and do some off-game meditating then.

Or perhaps level up Skill and Heart at the same amount since the bonus is really the same after a point...

That way I can use Dual Swords if I wanted.

Think I played for 4 hours yesterday before I indeed had to quit because I was getting worse instead of better. Hopefully I'll manage to be calm when I start it up again in a moment and make some more progress.

I think
Tadakatsu
and
Magoichi
Crusher titles are bugged.

Ran them both no hit twice and didn't get it.

Woooooooooooooooow.

They made the bare handed parry SO MUCH EASIER lmfao.

Now when you fail it it just drains stamina, you're not wide open like before.

Before it was basically "do it right or die". interesting.

It may also help to level up Heart a bit more, then you can have a bit more Ki to squeeze more actions out of. It's tough not to exhaust the entire bar early in the game, I know.

It seems like I should level up either Strength or Skill after getting Heart to 40 since it stops increasing my Sword damage at a noticeable rate.

So...

Axes or Dual Swords?

Warrior from the west submission is kicking my ass and I'm level 50. Any tips? One block destroys my Ki and can't seem to do anything.

Use Lifeseal

fuck it. I summoned help and finally beat hino-enma

Looks like this will be another souls game where I summon for 90% of the bosses! No shame

Have you tried using the Dual Swords L1+Triangle-parry? I can't get it to work. :/

It's really slow compared the other parries in the game, but the window seems to be when you raise the sword up and about to slash backwards with the other.

I've only done it twice, and I keep forgetting I have it.

So...

Axes or Dual Swords?

Use Lifeseal

Dual swords. Extremely fast low stance quick attacks. Great kick combo and you can ki pulse straight into iai QuickDraw same as single katana. The iai is weaker though as you can't charge it but you can still wombo combo a downed enemy in the same way. It also has an insane burst move in high stance called water sword. Great for bosses when when they're out of ki.

Don't have any experience with axes or hammers though. Never used one even in the betas. They're probably very good for people who like a slower and tanky playstyle.

So, what's the consensus on effectively get rid of unwanted gear? Disassembling, offering or selling?

Disassemble always.

Question for those finished the first difficulty:
I have done every quest available in the 6th region, but when I go to country view it doesn't show the region as complete (blue line under the region isn't filled up like the others) Is there something special I have to do to get the last quest?

Mastering dual blades and beating the dojo mission unlocks a ~130 lvl mission in the 6th area. Dunno if any other mastered weapons do that (although I've done everything except sickle and magic).

Thanks. I decided to raise Heart to 50 and will start on Skill as I use Dual Swords in NG+ or something.

I went exclusively Sword for the entire game so...

Feels great to be LV100... Just uh, 5 or so more missions to end game!

Hi guys! I'm going to start Nioh today, anything I should know before diving in?
Like some missable stuff or if I can reset my stat so I know I can't screw it up like I kinda did in Bloodborne :p
Thanks!
