Nioh |OT| Stamina is Ki

Played a lot yesterday. I just can't stop loot grinding. I'm farming revenants, heading to the blacksmith, soul matching, reforging etc. I go to the twighlight mission, not to clear the level, but to collect from all the revenants at the start. I can get loot way higher than my level this way. It's pretty good.

I've cleared everything from the demos so now I'm in new territory and it's great. Pretty happy with my character at the moment as most enemies are going down on time.

Damn I don't know how people find this game easier than Soulsborne. I find the game combat system much more complex with stances and KI timing and I'm starting to miss BB and DS simplicity.
I'm probably approaching the game with the wrong mentality. I'm playing like I play DS and BB never blocking and trying always dodging to the target's back.

I'm enjoying the game but it's time for a break because the second boss keeps wrecking me :(

You need to beat the main mission The Ocean Roars Again with the boss
Umi-bozu.
You then can do the training required in the Dojo, but I believe you need 20 magic to attempt it.

10 magic is enough for two sloth talismans.
15 allows you access to the veteran dojo mission. Completing that unlocks the ability to have six talismans.

Is there any way scenario where you can't retrieve your corpse when you die? I died, thankfully only losing a few thousand amrita, and then was unable to find my corpse/guardian spirit afterwards. Did the game bug out or is there a mechanic I'm not aware of?

Could be the case. :)

But it's number one in the bestseller list on the site and all remaining copies that was in Web Stock was sold out now over the weekend. Should be one of the biggest if not the biggest 'sleeper hits' of the year.

At GAME (UK) the newest games enter the best sellers list. Nioh is at number 1, ahead of Resident Evil, Yakuza and then Tales of Bersaria. In reality, Tales of Bersaria didn't even make top 10 on media creates charts.

Here's another example

Overwatch is 3rd on their list there, but not even top 10 in media creates charts.

And I'm done until I feel like doing NG+ missions. 48,5 for all side/main missions in all regions on normal, w/o most final weapon trials, since I only used the Axe and don't have enough dexterity.
What a fun game.

Can anyone give me some tips on how to do Heaven Flash? I can perform other forward + x actions just fine, like the jump behind an enemy with the spear attack and all that, but haven't been able to pull off Heaven Flash even once.

Only works against enemies, can't train it without a target.

22 hours in and only done the first mission of the second region. Man, they made a lot of content. Dark Souls: Diablo is one addictive formula.

Just cleared Nioh as well.

Didn't run into too much resistance. In terms of deaths, I think I racked up the most at (Major spoilers)
the optional Lady No + Oda fight
. Although, (more end-game spoilers)
the fight with the three Edward Kelley clones + two yoki was a major headache. It's a fight designed around living weapon spam (due to the amrita containers everywhere) + the two yoki can be killed early by smashing their tanks.

Would love to stick around and play NG+, but I have to write up a review and move on to the next game.

I am, I've spent too much time replaying the first couple bosses online and helping people get Kodama. I was actually telling myself now that when I get home from work, it's time to start the story back up again.

What level are you? Think I was 50 or so going into region 3

I was overlevelled a while ago, but my level and the mission levels have converged again. That was without replaying missions and doing multiplayer stuff, maybe others will stay ahead of the curve.

Now that I'm level 42, I guess I can finally go on to the second region.

The Nue fight wasn't as bad as people made it sound to be. He had a lot of telegraphed attacks, although I feel like a chump for only making it stagger once.

I won't explain how I got that far

edit: Only 5k Fam to go then I can do the last mission and never use Dual Swords again...

Do you not like Dual Swords?

Well you are level 42, isn't the Nue mission something like level 20-25? You're extremely overleveled.

What level are you? Think I was 45 or so going into region 3

I think around 55.

Are the selections you make at the tutorial level (main, sub, spirit) only relevant to the beginning of the game? Or am I gonna be stuck with my choices for far longer than that?

Main and sub stat points are permanent, but you will eventually pick up the other spirits you didn't get later.

Today I'm doing the last main mission, what a fucking great experience! This together with The Witcher 3 might be the best game I've ever played.
