One of a kind weapons (so 4 lvls of familiarity) vs. rare version of the same weapon (3 lvls)

Former weapon's base attack is 3 points higher.

The former has a familiarity bonus of C- while the latter has a bonus of B

The rest of the stats are negligible.

Which one is worth investing in?

do i lose my glory earned if i quit the mission? yuki onna is so op, not even sloth gives me enough time to destroy her

also i fucked up with my equipment went from green weight to yellow and im just not used to it, i liked to dash in and out of danger

Assuming same level, I would go with the purple but I have no math to back it up.

How in the world are you supposed to beat
Umi-bozu
? His
instant-death attack
has literally no windup or warning. How in the world is this boss meant to be killable? Why is this in the game?

Please help me understand how I'm supposed to do this. It's complete nonsense. People would be raking the game over the coals if Dark Souls 3 had anything like this.

Keep close (like up in his face close), manage your ki consumption with ki pulse, and don't get greedy with your attacks. The beam of doom has a pretty generous wind-up before Umi Bozu unleashes it. You're good if he has it tentacles out, if not, just be cautious that he'll either spit out debris at you or position himself to shoot his beam. If you have it, equip a jitsu skill called 'Quick Change'. It will revive you with a small portion of your health if you're killed. Save it for when Umi Bozu is almost down to half of his health: that is when the boss will start using that dreaded beam attack more frequently. It'll be your get out of jail for free card if he KO's you with it.

Once you have him down past 50% of his health, he'll no longer use that attack and will permanently post himself on the pier for the remainder of the fight. Good luck!

Uh, side mission The Demon's Daughter. I have the key, but the door I assume is the final door (it shows final boss dot inside the room) doesn't prompt me to open it?

Question for co-op gaf: do you earn tons of glory if you co-op? How does it work?

I'm pretty sure you don't lose glory like at all, use a hinamori branch (blue) just to be safe.

Finished off the way of the strong missions i had left and started my level 1 naked run. Made it through all missions in the first region pretty smoothly!

How do I light my weapons at the bonfires? And what exactly is "Toughness" measuring?

Just walk up to them and press circle. Only the ones in the boss arena though. Toughness is the equivalent to poise in dark souls. It effects blocking ki loss, ki regen while blocking, and super armor on your attacks if you get it high enough.

It has nothing to do with luck all his attacks are heavily telegraphed. He's one of the easier fights in the game.

THe luck I am reffering to is whether or not he decides to blast off a insta death laser the second you walk through the door as happened to me a number of times. That's 100% luck based.

Blue is one level higher than purple.

Hmmm one level higher isn't that big a deal.

For me personally I would make the decision base on 1) rarity, which would give me 2) more slots and therefore 3) more bonuses, but also 4) when it dissemble it I would get more rarer material especially with full familiarity

So you don't actually get the skill points you've used from items? That's so lame. I regret resetting my stats just to get the mystic arts.

Actually I'm a complete moron. I forgot to level up again lolololol

The level in region 2 where you can fall into the water is god awful. I was having fun with this game until I got to this level. It's so frustrating fighting these enemies and constantly falling or rolling off the edge....

Bitched about this earlier in the thread. Never beat the boss, gonna try tonight

Its definitely doable, just not very fun

Did
Yuki Onna
on my second try. It was...kind of easy to just dodge the ground shards.

These sloth talismans are bad for the game's challenge, aren't they?

Yes it will. That being said you're still going to be stronger than everything else because it doesn't nerf you that much.

Sloth talismans make everything easy lol.

I refuse to take anyone's comments about game difficulty seriously if they're using sloth talismans.

I totally am using them though.

I actually think Makabishi are even better as they stay on the ground to reapply the debuff after one use and they are instant cast. The makabishi bomb is downright brutal. Causes loads of damage and lttters a huge section of the map with the makibishi.
